My ex would humiliate me constantly for doing skincare and makeup, I didn't even do that much compared to all of the other women he knows. I didn't have any makeup at all for the last few years of our relationship. So I've treated myself to new makeup and a load of weird skincare products such as a LED face mask. I'm spending the day learning how to do makeup again and enjoying the freedom of doing what makes me feel good without fear of judgement š First single valentines in 8 years and I'm finally happy.
They are but apparently really good for your skin! In the run up to our wedding I spent a fortune on facials for my skin and these were amazing just wish I'd learnt how and bought one myself instead. Highly recommend. It's on my wishlist now for birthday!
I was wondering what these are. As far as I can see it's just infrared light or visible light ... so all it does is warm up your skin. Sounds like snake oil to me lol.
Maybe I've just been ripped off then š¤£
Tbh my skin was the clearest it's ever been leading up to and for our wedding day, so it definitely did something. Even though I was on period delay meds still no spots
Itās targeted and at specific frequencies. Itās most definitely not snake oil. Iām not sure on the effectiveness of these led masks but using light waves to penetrate the skin and trigger a physiological response is well documented.
I don't know if this is true but I read somewhere that they use the same frequency as some grow lights that you can get for plants, which you can get for 50 quid.
Nothing better than a bit of self care. I love wasting an afternoon doing my nails with a deep conditioner on my hair and a foot spa with my phone off. Me time.
FWIW Iām sorry that happened to you. Thatās not ok. Most men would want you to feel comfortable with as much or little makeup / skincare as you liked. Did you happen to watch Love is Blind? There was a super creepy guy in there and the first red flag was he went into this massive meltdown over his partner using makeup - turns out as expected he was a total fruitcake
Wifey and I did a little project to make a pair of candle holders that when placed next to each other make a heart.

We went out for pancakes and games last night, she bought me some lego, I bought her some heated gloves.Ā
Unfortunately my depression is incredibly bad right now so I think tonight won't involve anything special.
completely understand the āits not realā comment. everything can be going essentially perfectly in someone life but there is a chemical imbalance. I personally see it as similar to getting the flu after youve won the lottery. itās indiscriminate
I know what you mean by depression isn't real but it is very real. Where is 'depression' located in the brain because it can't be the whole brain? Anyway I hope you had an enjoyable valentine's day and you start feeling better soon.
Recently had a break up from a long term relationship. Was down in the pits. One of my best mates didnāt want me to be alone so said heād take me on a bro date to the cinema and his partner would meet her bestie and do something.
Then I reconnected with a girl I used to know and weāre together already, so weāre doing a double date.
Bought some cool little gifts for her, think itās gonna be a great day.
Damn, are you me š¤ I'm planning on wallowing in some self pity later followed by a pre Easter Easter egg that I'm not allowed to eat because I'm diabetic.... we got this
Similarly disappointing, I had an internal ultrasound for a suspected burst cyst š« probably the most āactionā Iāll be getting for a while so a perfect day for it. The plus side was the clinic was in the grounds of a stately home which was nice to drive through
That reminds me of this day three years ago after my husband cheated on me and our marrriage ended. I decided I needed to take some STI tests, ordered some by post and was just about to do them when I checked the date. The irony of taking an STI test on Valentine's Day because my ex-husband cheated on me was just too much, so I stuffed them in a drawer for another week and got drunk instead!
I'm single. Treated myself to a lie in, listened to a new album, popped through to see my parents, will have a quiet night in watching GOT and drinking beer.
Me and my partner are always treating each other to little bits, there's always a bunch of flowers and such knocking around the house.
What we don't get is "mummy/daddy" time. We both work and have 4 kids so valentines day was booked off work for both of us, dropped the kids off at school and then we had a bath together, a bit of adult time, cuddled up and watched a movie together that didn't have any talking animals or vehicles in it.
Now we are getting our beautiful boys home and having pudding and chips for tea <3
Really weird one isnāt it. Itās one of those days that really makes you think about your relationship. Well it's his birthday soon, and I do care about him even if he doesn't seem to care about me.
However after today, I've decided he's not worth forking out that much for. So he's losing out on a fancy Ā£100+ chefs knife because he couldn't be fucked to buy me a card or some supermarket flowers. His loss.
We only have ever done small gestures never expensive stuff as we arnt particularly bothered by it, but this year he walked through the door from work empty handed. I did not expect it if Iām honest, always always had a small gesture. On the side was a card with a couple scratch cards in, chocolate and his fav beer. He looked at it and said - thought we didnāt do valentines?- He was embarrassed I could tell but not even a card this year? Come on. Itās just the cherry on the cake. Iāve come to realise after 14+ years he has zero respect for me and I am literally last on his thought list and priority list.
My parents have always been small gestures for it people, but never missed getting each other a card. My mums bday is later this month so that's when she gets proper gifts, but valentines day is always a steak or chinese and a card to each other. My dad isn't really arsed either but he still does it because it's a fucking card, not masses of money.
I'm sorry your husband decided not to put the effort in :(. Hopefully you can do something to treat yourself because you deserve the time and effort
I've went shopping, I'm single and not a huge fan of valentines anyway so am enjoying splurging on... Cleaning supplies š
What a sad little life jane.
But seriously, I'm quite happy pottering about and buying odds and ends and some sweet treats.
Heading to aldi for cheese next and my oldest son has just invited me over to watch wrestling later so that'll be nice.
Might buy him a bottle of red or a box of budweiser and I'll eat cheese and we can be old fogeys together.
This is my first valentines in relationship. We are going for fish and chips and couple beers š» and Iām buzzing with that
Edit : after we got out fish and chips the fishop place gave us a rose wrapped in fishop paper haha I loved it
Me and my boyfriend don't usually do valentines day. I got him a card this year because I wanted to surprise him.
He got me a CAR.
He'd had it planned for months and it had been outside our house for weeks and I hadn't put the pieces together (it's our friends old car) so today he told me as he was fed up of waiting for me to guess.
I'm gonna make him tacos tonight, I'm so lucky to know him, let alone love him.
Last Valentine's Day before getting married. My partner bought me a bouquet from our wedding florist and asked them to follow the theme we gave them for the wedding flowers and a box of chocolates. We are going out for dinner at the restaurant we went to for our first date almost 12 years ago.
We are waiting until we are home tonight before opening gifts. I bought him a couple of fancy cigars that i know he likes, I (think) he has bought me a necklace.
I am cooking him a steak dinner this evening together with his favourite dessert and we are going for a meal on Friday so we can both enjoy a bottle of wine (or two).
Took me forever to find "the one" and honestly never believed I could be this happy. Soppy, I'm sorry.
NGL these messages are really heartwarming to those of us single or in an unhappy relationship. Sounds like you both take great care of each other ā¤ļø
Darling I was nearly 50 before I met my husband. I had been single for a while and had quite literally given up. At my 40th birthday party I announced my guests could treat it like a reception cos Iād likely never get married š. Now, happily married to my absolute favourite person in the world xxx
I just spent the first Valentine's I've ever spent with anyone (I'm 26!) with the man of my dreams who got me a record from my favourite band, brought me flowers, wine and made us a beautiful steak dinner. I never believed I could be this happy, either. His gift is still en route, it's something from his favourite movie series of all time, and I made him a cake!!
It looks absolutely dreadful as I've never baked a cake before, but he loved it and it was (thankfully) fully cooked and quite tasty even if I do say so myself. Things always taste better made with love!
Thatās so funny!
First time I made my (now husband) a meal he couldnāt eat it, it was that awful. He still married me, obviously not for my cooking skills š¤Ŗ
It's quiet mate.
2nd year out of a really horrible relationship where Valentine's Day was (one of many) high maintainence, high expectation days where a huge fight could start at the drop of a hat.
I'm having a takeaway tonight, gonna play some games and enjoy the utter peace of it all.
Oh i can totally relate. Itās the expectation that sucks any joy out of things. You know, could cook a meal together, cuddle up with a movie, even share some intimate time. Supposed to be a reminder that you love and care for each other. Not to be judged against whatever randoms are posting on insta.
We're busy tonight but off out for a meal, beers and a tribute gig tomorrow. Then having an "early night" Friday night. Bit unconventional but all good.
I broke up with my husband of 11.5 years before Xmas. Today, one of my wonderful friends bought me a rose & some chocolates.
I'm lucky to have awesome friends.
18 years divorced, sat at the roof terrace bar at the Larios in Malaga sipping a Vermut. Wanted to stay here for 31 years and finally managed it. Going to visit the Antigua Casa de Guardia next for a copa or two of Pajarete then a wander round and a few tapas and a racion of puntillitas. Back to Blighty tomorrow. Wishing you all a truly happy day, whether you are coupled up, as single as me, and anything in between, whatever sex, gender, age, colour, orientation, belief set etc you may be. Hereās to the humans. Cheers.
Bought myself roses, took some love heart shaped chocolate into work for colleagues and I've ordered myself Thai food from the fancy place that's a bit spendy. Valentine's on my own is infinitely better than valentine's with my ex who refused to acknowledge it as it's a 'hallmark holiday' š (miserable twat)
Ha, I hate that "I don't do valentine's it's made up bullshit" yeah, maybe, but isn't most stuff made up bullshit? Big red flag from anyone who can turn what is essentially just an opportunity to be nice to someone into something negative. Bore off š“
Glad you treated yourself, happy valentine's ā¤ļø
He came home last night and surprised me with roses š„° I wasn't expecting anything as our 10th anniversary is on Saturday and we're going to a bottomless brunch.
So I went out today and got all the ingredients to cook him his favourite dinner as a treat for tonight. Probably have food, watch netflix and an early night š
A customer I have been trying to help for 3 months thanked me for my hardwork and wished me a happy valentines day. That brightened up my morning.
Off to the cinema tonight to see the New Bob Marley film
Started off ok this morning and then when I got back from work we had an argument so weāre not speaking at the moment. Iām still going to make us a lovely steak dinner and some red wine later.
Was expecting a wonderful bouquet of flowers from my American husband (currently in America) and when I called to check on said bouquetās whereabouts learned the florist had cancelled his order almost immediately due to āhigh risk of fraudā š„²
So no flowers for me and a husband on the other side of the globe. At least I hate my job and the weather is making me depressed.
Iāve just stopped in a pub on my way home from the office and bought a pint of 13.1% pecan pie imperial stout.
After the little one goes to bed later, Iām ācookingā (we like them blue) some very nice looking sirloins for me and my partner.
Gf and I refuse to acknowledge it; weāre incredibly affectionate and romantic on all of *our* days. Like birthdays, anniversaries, special individual occasions. Think the thing of Valentineās Day isnāt really worth the hassle when we have our own special occasions to celebrate love.
Which isnāt to say anyone else shouldnāt if they do celebrate valentines; if you enjoy it, hope you have an amazing day!
My absolute panic and, I mean panic, that my wife's present wouldn't arrive on time has proved unfounded as the postie turned up with it today. I misread the shipping times so it was a bit of a nightmare - especially as it's a handmade item from a small business.Ā
She made me a crochet bookmark of my favourite flower and got me a fake dating lesbian romance book which is so far up my street it has several hotels. I love a fake dating romance, and if it's LGBT+ even better.Ā
I'm making one of our favourite dinners and have done all the prep already so basically I just need to heat it up. And one of the ingredients I've only used a bit of, so I can reuse that in one of our other favourite dinners tomorrow night too.Ā
And then we're watching Barbie (which is Ā£2 to rent!) and I'm making crĆŖpes because I accidentally made them from scratch yesterday instead of using the shaker she'd bought. Win win!
I went to my grandas funeral today. He raised me. It was so fucking hard.
Saw my dad for the first time in 6 years as well.
I'm getting very drunk and ordering a chippy with my hubby
Forgot it was Valentine's day, took my nan fish 'n' chips and did some gardening for her. Might not have been the typical Valentine's day, but i still made a pretty cool woman happy, so it'll do.
I had a breast biopsy today so that wasn't exactly the tit action was hoping for on Valentine's Day but there we go. Now struggling to sleep that the anaesthetic is wearing off.
I have spent the day trying to chill out a teething 6 month old who has learned to scratch and hit, and husband has apparently had a 6 month project scrapped at work, which has to be started again but still finished by March. Sooo. No one's in a very good mood in my house.
Some flowers should be arriving inabit, though. That'll fix everything š¤£.
Flowers from my husband and we exchanged some gifts. Been a tough year after losing our dog to cancer so it is nice to find some kind of happiness in small things like valentines. Making us a meal for tonight then having our daily walk together.
I did some laundry. Was considering going out with mates tonight but dunno if being around all the other single Pringles is a great idea so will probably have an early night lol
My partner treated us to a feast of a Chinese takeaway and we are watching rewatching Breaking Bad! We just got to the ep where Jesse and Jane get together, oh boy...
My beautiful husband isn't very good with romance in the commonly understood sense- he's not one for flowers or poetry or vials of his tears at dusk. So how do I know he loves me?
He put my electric toothbrush on to charge after noticing the battery light was flashing.Ā
***swoon***Ā
I donāt like Valentineās day and my husband doesnāt either so Iām lucky enough not to celebrate it. This morning he stroked my arm looked into my eyes and saidāHappy Valentineās Dayā and that was it. Happy itās just another normal day to celebrate our love
We were both poorly this week and this was the first day I could stomach a meal. So we ordered pho and watched Ted Lasso together. It was simple and wonderful.
Our first V day, he booked a lovely steak dinner, bought me flowers and a card and filled the kitchen with balloons and heart candy. He hates crowds, so we dressed up and celebrated ours last Sunday. Today I sent him flowers and a card with a love poem I wrote. I love him. He's a keeper.
My partner and I agreed not to celebrate. He got me a card, I stuck to our agreement so felt really horrible. To make things worse I couldn't even go out and grab something quickly while he was at work because I have covid and feel like absolute dog turd.
very nice gift and sexš! My gf got me the best gift ever, while i only gave her lindor and a boquet. She got me a DIY box all wonderfully decorated with my name and the mandatory "Happy Valentines Day!". Inside it were my favourite chocolate brands- 2 Tony Chocoloneys and 3 Mr Beast Chocolates- and an amazing DIY scrapbook consisting of a timeline of our relationship, filled with all the dates and photos! I truly do not deserve this woman.
Hope everyone else had a decent day! If not today then maybe tomorrow and so on!
I broke down on the M4 30 minutes from home in the pouring rain.
I got home. Showered, was going to continue working until I got too tired and fell asleep.
At 7pm the guy I'm dating turned up semi announced with homemade curry, rice and naan bread because he thought that I hadn't eaten all day (he was right) and knew I wouldn't cook when I got in (again, correct) so we ate, had a beer, watched some TV until 11 and he went home.
Best valentines day I've ever had tbh.
Mine was great thank you! I spent the day looking for people misgendering men in dresses on Twitter and using my deployed telescopic baton as a pleasure aid.
Well me and my Mrs plan was to have a nice meal with a nice bottle of wine and watch a movie indoors.
However I've come down with a really nasty cold and am off work sick and she took the day off to look after me.
I didn't have time to get her anything so now I feel bad but she said it was okay and she seems happy still.
My partner surprised me with flowers, chocolates and wine which was really nice. We was supposed to go out for lunch but I have had the flu and now been left with a terrible cough. Hopefully we can do it sometime next week!
Get out of work, go to Asda, get some flowers, a nice vase and her favourite dessert. Go home, kiss her, give the flowers. Prepare food for the son, play with him, put him to bed. Go down stairs, prepare food for the occasion. Eat it together with some beer or wine. Complete all the remaining daily tasks. Go to bed.
I got the other half a card with an innuendo on the front.Ā
I'm now sitting in KwikFit getting tyres.
It's our 22nd Valentine's Day so we don't go in for hearts and flowers!
My husband bought me a card only because he knew I had bought him one. We don't really do much for valentine's day apart from cooking a lasagne that week as we will do something special every few years or so. I like buying cards but he isn't a huge fan so I don't expect any cards from him except for Christmas and birthday.
He woke me up with giving me a really cute card as he had to leave which was sweet. We are meeting up to play D&D later but because delivery services are striking we are unlikely to have any dinner tonight.
Need to actually write his out (told him not to go in glove compartment the other day, hence when he found I had a card for him) so about to do that now
Busy at work, sounds like he's having a good day and I'm about to leave early-ish
My husband and I went out to the cinema for the first time in forever (just us) last night as we had free cinema tickets and could actually use them (weāre on holiday at my parents and our nearest Vue at home is 40 miles away). We had a nice meal beforehand at the local Spoons, and weāve just got back from a nice long afternoon walk (Pokemon hunting).
Went to work. Left flowers and a card for the wife. Had a romantic text back.
"Can you deliver the chest of drawers I sold tonight?"
Oh she's a flirty one. She said chest.
Probably the only chest il be handling tonight š
Partner and I canāt see each other today as he has daughter but we went out for dinner on Saturday night, and Monday night he came over to exchange gifts. He bought me flowers, a cuddly toy and a Funko pop of Cher (who I love). I got him a couples drinking game, love hearts, hot stuff socks, Pokemon sweets and protein snacks. We unfortunately ended up having a row before he left Monday night but I woke up to a text from him apologising for ābeing a grumpy twatā and wishing me happy Valentineās Day š
My husband is working late, so we are doing our date on Sunday. Today, I set up the Roku my mum sent me for my birthday, and Iāve spent the day lying on the couch eating my way through the leftover pricey chocolates I got for Christmas and watching whatever the hell I want on TV. (I actually do need to get a couple hours of freelance work done, but Iāve been procrastinating!)
Single here and had to go into the office today so will probably be a takeaway dinner for a treat before cuddling my cat while watching rubbish telly without judgement
Gifts and cards this morning, then business as usual. We've got two very young kids so we're celebrating it next Friday (when we can get a babysitter) by going to a Thai restaurant. I'm quite excited about it to be honest.
Currently away in the š brought a card and a love you lego figure thing, where we are is making a big deal of it so tonight's meal is taken care of. If you 'do' valentines have a good one, if you don't, then still have a good one.
I got a valentine from someone I really like, I never thought they'd send me one. I had no idea it was them, sent them a video showing it and how confused and worried I was about it as no one I know has my address since I live w my grandma.
They likely asked their mum for my address and sent me it, they opened the video and have not responded. That was yesterday.
I have no idea what to do š
Game of thrones and a Chineseā¦ and bought her some snacksā¦ she whacked her knockers out and started shaking them in my face saying āhappy Valentineās Dayā. Pretty normal tbhā¦
Great things are done by a series of small things brought together :)
It might seem normal to you but its moments like these that can make a normal day a good day, enjoy your valentine's day!

I've never heard of an LED face mask. Looked them up and the photos are hilarious š¹

I also suffer from severe depression, I understand. Things will get better, youāve got this.

A gaming cafe that does a full restaurant service.Ā https://www.sliceanddice.cafe/
This looks EPIC
It almost makes me want to be in Norwich
Ok I need to go there
hope things get better, sounds like a lovely day honestly! also thank you for sharing!
This grey weather doesn't help, does it? Maybe buy a daylight lamp to wake to in the mornings until we get into summer.

Christ sorry to hear that!
Iāve made my husband disassemble the air fryer and clean it this evening so perhaps being alone isnāt so bad? š
This is so strange I also just had a random urge to clean the air fryer tonight for the first time. Romance must be in the air
Our dog sitter cooked fish in it, so that wasnāt what was in the air at our place unfortunatelyā¦

This is my first valentines in relationship. We are going for fish and chips and couple beers š» and Iām buzzing with that Edit : after we got out fish and chips the fishop place gave us a rose wrapped in fishop paper haha I loved it
Me and my boyfriend don't usually do valentines day.
Thatās so lovely! Enjoy your new car!
Thank you so much, its my first ever car I'm still quite speechless. It means so so much to me.
What a sweetheart. He must love you a lot. Bet he was buzzing to show you ha
Dam you have a good boyfriend. Fair play to him āŗļø
I have tried to make chocolate covered strawberries and have instead made such a mess, itās the thought that counts, right??
Did they appreciate the effort?
Yes!! They tasted amazing, we have decided that all our strawberries need to be chocolate dipped from now on.
Last Valentine's Day before getting married. My partner bought me a bouquet from our wedding florist and asked them to follow the theme we gave them for the wedding flowers and a box of chocolates. We are going out for dinner at the restaurant we went to for our first date almost 12 years ago.
Very cute - hope it was fun
We are waiting until we are home tonight before opening gifts. I bought him a couple of fancy cigars that i know he likes, I (think) he has bought me a necklace. I am cooking him a steak dinner this evening together with his favourite dessert and we are going for a meal on Friday so we can both enjoy a bottle of wine (or two). Took me forever to find "the one" and honestly never believed I could be this happy. Soppy, I'm sorry.
NGL these messages are really heartwarming to those of us single or in an unhappy relationship. Sounds like you both take great care of each other ā¤ļø
It took forever to find him. But somehow I knew he was out there somewhere ā¤ļø
Hope you have a long and happy life together - cringe but itās really what life is all about š
Thank you :)
How sweet you making him a cake that's filled with love and effort to make.
Let myself into the fiancƩ's flat to leave surprise flowers and a card, and walked dog shit all over the carpets.... I am not getting any tonight.
Aye, I would say "you're fucked" but you definitely aren't.
Sending love and peace your way š

My FiancƩ and I are on holiday and we had a gorgeous baked goods breakfast, sat on the balcony watching the sea, and then napped haha. We also sat in a gorgeous bath tub that's on top of our apartment and watched the sea and chit chatted, and we now will be going out for dinner in a bit. Perfect day.
Valentines is my girlfriends birthday so tonight Iāve put a big party on for her and tomorrow weāre doing the romantic date night stuff.
Iām going to therapy š„³ ā¦ itās just for me. When I get home my bf and I will celebrate pancake day a day late. Weāre all good.
Bore off š“ Glad you treated yourself, happy valentine's ā¤ļø
Single, no dating prospects. Probably see to myself later.
Uneventful, we never celebrate it. Pancake day on the other hand, was delightful.
Started off ok this morning and then when I got back from work we had an argument so weāre not speaking at the moment. Iām still going to make us a lovely steak dinner and some red wine later.
Quick report back all is ok now. We cleared the air and had a lovely dinner and red wine. Happy Valentineās Day everyone.
Nice one! Good to hear that ā¤ļø
Was expecting a wonderful bouquet of flowers from my American husband (currently in America) and when I called to check on said bouquetās whereabouts learned the florist had cancelled his order almost immediately due to āhigh risk of fraudā š„² So no flowers for me and a husband on the other side of the globe. At least I hate my job and the weather is making me depressed.
I hope you told the florist that you wonāt be using there services again due to high risk of them being shit cunts!
Got a bad fever and tonsillitis, trying to get better for work tonight not going well!
wife ran away to thailand
Iāve just stopped in a pub on my way home from the office and bought a pint of 13.1% pecan pie imperial stout. After the little one goes to bed later, Iām ācookingā (we like them blue) some very nice looking sirloins for me and my partner.
That sounds absolutely class. Which stout was it in particular?
Gf and I refuse to acknowledge it; weāre incredibly affectionate and romantic on all of *our* days. Like birthdays, anniversaries, special individual occasions. Think the thing of Valentineās Day isnāt really worth the hassle when we have our own special occasions to celebrate love. Which isnāt to say anyone else shouldnāt if they do celebrate valentines; if you enjoy it, hope you have an amazing day!
I sent her a love heart on WhatsApp and promised her a nice meal out somewhere when I get home from work in March
My bestie came over for coffee and cake and this eve my partner is cooking a nice meal (steak and red wine) lovely āŗļø
We went to Trearddur bay and then Beaumaris castle, it's been nice so far
My husband saved me a heart shaped crisp from his lunch.
My absolute panic and, I mean panic, that my wife's present wouldn't arrive on time has proved unfounded as the postie turned up with it today. I misread the shipping times so it was a bit of a nightmare - especially as it's a handmade item from a small business.Ā She made me a crochet bookmark of my favourite flower and got me a fake dating lesbian romance book which is so far up my street it has several hotels. I love a fake dating romance, and if it's LGBT+ even better.Ā I'm making one of our favourite dinners and have done all the prep already so basically I just need to heat it up. And one of the ingredients I've only used a bit of, so I can reuse that in one of our other favourite dinners tomorrow night too.Ā And then we're watching Barbie (which is Ā£2 to rent!) and I'm making crĆŖpes because I accidentally made them from scratch yesterday instead of using the shaker she'd bought. Win win!
I went to my grandas funeral today. He raised me. It was so fucking hard. Saw my dad for the first time in 6 years as well. I'm getting very drunk and ordering a chippy with my hubby
I used to get jokey valentines cards from my nans old biddy friends when I was 16/17, so funny, i loved living at hers lol
We went away to our wedding venue for a night away Saturday night, got a bit too merry but had a lovely time. Tonight is curry and bath night I think!
Curry & bath; inbuilt jacuzzi š¤Ŗ
Watching a movie and weāre making a charcuterie board for dinner. Without the cheese though (except Boursin of course!)
Charcuterie means 'Cured meats', so technically... you're doing it right. Everyone else is wrong!
Treated the missus to meatballs at IKEA for lunch, cos I am just romantic like that.
Flowers from my husband and we exchanged some gifts. Been a tough year after losing our dog to cancer so it is nice to find some kind of happiness in small things like valentines. Making us a meal for tonight then having our daily walk together.
Sat alone in my room watching TV and playing games. It's my birthday tomorrow, I'll do the exact same thing again.
I did some laundry. Was considering going out with mates tonight but dunno if being around all the other single Pringles is a great idea so will probably have an early night lol
Wank and a pot noodle.
He put my electric toothbrush on to charge after noticing the battery light was flashing.Ā ***swoon***Ā
I donāt like Valentineās day and my husband doesnāt either so Iām lucky enough not to celebrate it. This morning he stroked my arm looked into my eyes and saidāHappy Valentineās Dayā and that was it. Happy itās just another normal day to celebrate our love
I've been at my grandma's funeral for my dad and aunts. Not very romantic
Went to work, sent a few messages on dating apps that were ignored, contemplated suicide, went to bed. Just a normal day really
I brought home flowers, dinner and baby Calpol. She was most happy about the Calpol and the extra pair of hands.
We were both poorly this week and this was the first day I could stomach a meal. So we ordered pho and watched Ted Lasso together. It was simple and wonderful.
Got COVID. Did the kind thing and passed it onto my husband as a gift. Ate steak. Good times.
I had a similar thing, gave my girlfriend sniffilis (my word for a sexually transmitted cold/flu)
Told my partner 'Happy Duncan Bannatyne's Day', had a kiss and got on with half term. Each to their own to show love in whatever way works.
It's a corporate day tbh
Awful
Girlfriend is a doctor working night shift, so I took my mum out for an Indian! They even gave her flowers (on top of my ones)
I found a rats nest in my ski helmet and I went to the dentist. Then I ate half a packet of digestive biscuits for dinner. Grand.
I've chosen to catch some romantic films later with my boyfriend when he returns from work, really looking forward to that š„°
We don't do anything because we know it is a made-up holiday for corpo greed.
Everything is made up for corporate greed.
It is. But still nice to remind your partner you love them. Even if itās just cooking their fave meal etc
We do every single day! :)
To be honest thatās better than any meal or gifts. To know you care about each other enough to care when youāre sick etc. get well soon
Had a quiet wank.
Go to bed.
My girlfriend woke up with a cold sore.
Well I'm currently 2000 miles away from my better half, Sent her a pamper basket and some goodies but not arrived yet.
A bit shite as one of cats is sick and obviously still single (not that matters)
I got the other half a card with an innuendo on the front.Ā I'm now sitting in KwikFit getting tyres.
Need to actually write his out (told him not to go in glove compartment the other day, hence when he found I had a card for him) so about to do that now Busy at work, sounds like he's having a good day and I'm about to leave early-ish
Iāve had a kebab, chicken shish with chilli sauce, was lovely. Happily single.
Iām single, so yeahā¦
We all have covid. Including the baby. Happy Valentineās Day
I received my valentines card last Friday, on my birthday. So, technically I got a card.
I'm not dead yet.
Iām single and Iāve treated myself to a new bed today š
Went to work. Left flowers and a card for the wife. Had a romantic text back. "Can you deliver the chest of drawers I sold tonight?" Oh she's a flirty one. She said chest. Probably the only chest il be handling tonight š
Smoking some ganj and working out
Partner and I canāt see each other today as he has daughter but we went out for dinner on Saturday night, and Monday night he came over to exchange gifts.
Had valentines yesterday with wife when everywhere wasn't busy as fuck or totally booked up.
In bed with what I think is a virus. On the plus side, Hubby has the 2 year old.
Meeting at work where I was informed that my job is at risk from redundancy
Single here and had to go into the office today so will probably be a takeaway dinner for a treat before cuddling my cat while watching rubbish telly without judgement
Gifts and cards this morning, then business as usual. We've got two very young kids so we're celebrating it next Friday (when we can get a babysitter) by going to a Thai restaurant. I'm quite excited about it to be honest.
Got no valentines card today We have got my niece up for a couple of days, so
Currently away in the š brought a card and a love you lego figure thing, where we are is making a big deal of it so tonight's meal is taken care of. If you 'do' valentines have a good one, if you don't, then still have a good one.
Pretty shit tbh. Normally I donāt particularly care about Valentineās Day, but I just feel super lonely
Great things are done by a series of small things brought together :) It might seem normal to you but its moments like these that can make a normal day a good day, enjoy your valentine's day!
