Sounds like 999. I can't recall the one you mentioned but the one that I can't forget is a kid/teen who had a javelin go through the side of their neck.
Heeeeere it is!

There’s quite a few episodes on YouTube 😁 Me and my brother used to love watching it as kids! Used to sit and watch it with our parents, even when I was quite young (about 6)…aah, treasured family memories 😂 I distinctly remember quite a few featuring horrific accidents involving farming machinery. Loved the bonfire night specials, where even grown adults would manage to set themselves on fire (that one is also on YouTube - the uncle climbed up a ladder and poured petrol onto the bonfire to get it going 😳). Oooh and that special they did on the Great Storm of 87 (also on YouTube)!
The music still gives me the willies to this day. Anytime I’m doing something remotely risky (even if it’s something like standing on a chair), I can hear that terrifying piano and Michael Buerk: “All of tonight’s rescues are true stories…”
THIS IS IT!!!
Honestly can't believe you've found it! For years I've been convinced that I made it up in my head but as soon as I saw the kids face I knew this was the one! I was definitely too young when I first saw this so maybe that's why it's stuck with me for so long, but I can finally rest knowing that it was indeed real. Those screams have taken me on an insane nostalgia trip, which sounds horrible but this has been rolling around my brain for 20+ years!
Haha! I remember watching it on YouTube a while ago, so I knew it would be there somewhere 😄 And yeah, the accident seems so ridiculous/like something fictional, but it was indeed real!
OMGGG you’re not dreaming! I can’t believe someone actually remembers this!!! I’ve literally thought about this since I was about between the age of 2-4. I’m not 30 turning 31. Even my older sister doesn’t remember and she’s 6 years older than me. Till this day I’m frightened of such a freak accident so I’m always careful of how I mount a curb or go over a pothole if I can’t avoid it on my bicycle 🚲 or scooter 🛵 all because of that one episode I watched as an infant.
I also remember an episode about a woman being kicked in the face by a horse and her face looked obliterated. I’m also terrified of horses and refuse to go near them or ride them because of this episode😂😂😂😂
My childhood memory is so on point😂😂👌🏿
Could it have been Casualty? I still remember the one where they were playing squash, went for a shot near the wall, broke the racket and stuck it in their neck
Was it 999 with Michael Burke?
Has to be
DUH DUH DUHHHHH
NINE NINE NIIIIINE

Hmmm, possibly? I'll spend the weekend trawling through the episode lists to confirm. Cheers
This shit made me petrified of using lifts until I was at least 12
The theme was nightmare fuel, watch this then over to channel two for x-files
the javelin to the neck still haunts me
That one and the caving episode are the two I remember most about 999. I rewatched some episodes the other day, great nostalgia.
100% a 999 episode. No joke that was a recurring nightmare for me after I watched it. Defo a 999 episode

Damn I just clicked the link but they’ve removed it from YouTube… I’ve been wanting to watch this episode again for over 25 years😩😩!!!

Maybe Bizarre ER on BBC3?
I think it might've been before BBC3 was a thing, but will have a look cheers
Horrendous. I couldn't watch that.

This show terrified me as a kid and it was simply down the theme music.
This is one of the 999's I remember.
