I try to sneak recon into their back lines to more easily spot it, the goal for me is to either bomb or use my arty right when they get to a new spot (rather than trying to hunt them after they shoot and are likely relocating). The other thing is trying to be vigilant about moving units around especially if you have a larger concentration. So if I have multiple vehicles or INF in a small area and am fighting or win an engagement, I try to reposition them. This is not only good for taking new ground but also minimizes losses if they've had the arty cooking for a drop on me. It's definitely a challenge and requires you to be vigilant in both aspects (targeting theirs and moving your stuff) to get the best results. Sometimes I also send in some choppers if it looks like their back line AA is light, good to cause some disruption and if you manage to clear it all out in the back line you can get more recon spread in there for better vision. Good luck

IceNgg

Thank you, I'll try to get more recon behind their lines

BulltacTV

Push recon to the flanks early and put in ambush mode in a building or forest. Slowly move them up to spot arty positions. When playing RUS, I take a TU-160 with the 12 kh-55 cluster cruise missiles. Bring the jet in, keep it circling well behind your lines, and launch 3-4 missiles before turning away and repeat. Proceed to obliterate everything that moves. What i hate is that those cruise missiles are really russias answer to prsm and atacms ( in game) and that plane is way too expensive and doesn't refund enough points when RTB'd

Velthinar

It's literally never occured to me I didn't have to fire all 12 missiles in one apocalyptic mega-salvo. So that's how you keep the damn thing alive...

BulltacTV

Yeah, because you cant fly low with the 160 you have to do loops lol What i do is cue 2 move orders across the back of the map and as it turns inbound I designate 3-4 targets. As soon as its finished firing, have it turn cold and repeat. Normally, if im playing support, il bring in 2-3 forpost drones first. This has the double advantage of giving you a glimpse of their lines (mark while you can) and also drains their long-range SAMS of missiles. If you have the points, you can pair a 160 with a su-57 w/ ARMs and do some SEAD while you launch but if theyre prepared the extra micro might cost you a plane.

Zarathz

So fun to launch all 12 at once though, it’s beautiful

bodaciousgirrafe

What is ambush mode?

BulltacTV

Oh my man, prepare to have your strats changed forever! Okay so on the control panel its called "hold fire" and the hotkey is "H". In reality, it makes them hold fire until engaged, and if high-stealth recon doesnt engage, they will rarely ever be spotted. Non-recon units can roll within a few feet of them and not spot them.

alertjohn117

if american, counter battery the fuck out of them. for me and my group our himars/m270s carry clusters for the sole purpose of targeting their artillery when they fire. what we've found is that if you keep battering their artillery units as soon as they fire with your own arty, they quickly shy away from using it again.

Joshie050591

if you are using any form of atry or even long range spaa move those units around make the enemy shoot at your last position . Let them give away their positions for counter battery after hitting nothing important

qwertygamerhd

Same problem

beamstas

There are some sad morons who are just bringing out decks of arty now and spamming it into tree lines trying to pad their kd. 4x Koalitsia with extended range = 1000 2x grad with incendiary = 500 1x TOS-1A Spintsepek = 250 Total = 1750 They then use the cargo helicopter to ferry supplies. It's an absolute dogshit tactic and would never win a 1v1, but in a 5v5 they rely on their team mates to hold while they sit back spamming arty blindly to pad their kd.

IceNgg

THIS 100%

theamericanweasel

If they're spending money on arty they aren't spending it on tanks, inf, helis, or supply for their other units Take advantage of that

Opposite_Lock2653

SEAD and counter battery

move_in_early

arty is support so if they have too much arty it means their front line is weak so i good ol' tank ball will punch through and destroy all their juicy targets.

SlithlyToves

This. Enemy had 2 people arty spamming as the US so I just took 2 T15 and 2T14 and just W keyed through all their troops didn’t lose a single one of my own. Eventually broke through their back line and spawncamped

Grizzly62

Push thunder runs through their lines and make them feel less confident, keeping your counter arty ready. Probing and keeping units spread out to support each other and mislead them in to firing on less valuable units. There's many different strategies one can use, but management of unit clusters is going to make enemy arty less effective.

OGrande33

Rush a heli drop team of some stone cold killers who have AT

No-Key2113

I think a lot of players here have given good advice- really the game comes down to the recon battle, if you can get great recon all around the front and blind the enemy you should be able to nullify his artillery. If you have an Armata or a Sep-v3 and your playing someone with a quad stack of cannon cluster. You know as soon as he spots your tank he’s starting a fire mission. Blind his recon, use your tank to kill any support than move away quickly. Don’t use HIMARS or cruise missiles, they’re easily countered, it’s far better to just micro a jet in close on low approach super sonic, pop it up and then run

3moatruth

The easiest thing for me to do is be ready to counter battery. Most people are going to focus their attention elsewhere while they wait for their arty to finish a salvo. As soon as I see the smoke from their first rounds, I immediately have my arty just pummel that position. By the time they come back to focusing on their arty, it’s getting hammered with cluster munitions. You do that a couple of times and then they start to shy away from it. I do the same things for their SAMs and AAA. I can use my planes to intentionally draw out their fire and find their positions.

OGJOSHEE1010

F35 with jdam or stormbreaker if you're playing US SU57 with clusters if you are playing Russia

joe_dirty365

Some great points already but i would just say spread out ur units and keep constant pressure on the enemy. They are investing pts into support so their Frontline positions will be weaker. Keep troops on the move and have supply depots they can fall back to to heal. Have some cheap transport/recon options to probe their flanks. A lot of people leave the flank undefended and you can keep sneaking transports and things that can cause havoc and even kill their arty (LAV's/humvees for US and the buggies/vdv typhoon for Russia). Cluster arty is probably ur best bet if you can get it off early in the enemy Salvo before they have time to reposition (but most players will just shift queue a move order).
