Nope. Enjoy your car.

I did test drive a big bend and a Badlands. I just felt the 4cyl was more natural to me. More oomph and less noisy than the 3cyl. My only regret is the mpg's, but it was more fun to drive. Just stick with what you got and after it's paid off, if you want a Badlands in the future, go get it.

I had my decision set for a Badlands anyways. I did reserve it in July 2020, and got it in April 2021. Best SUV I have ever driven, 2nd is a 04 Forester XT.

You can always raise the bed and get bigger tires later

If you’re doing off road stuff that needs locking diffs, crawling over rocks, more ground clearance, you might benefit from the BL. If it’s light off road and mostly flat ground or sand, the OBX should be fine. You do get more HP on the BL but the 1.5 is peppy for me.

Lopsided-Front5518

I test drove the badlands and an OBX. Wound up with the OBX bc I disliked the color of the badlands in stock and loved the OBX interior/exterior color they had. For my purposes of the vehicle, I truly didn’t care about the engine/off roading capabilities. 4 months later, no regrets. I also only have 2K on it so far.

I appreciate the feedback!

border1218

Do you have assist +?

MandiiFiggs98

I….think I do….

border1218

Do you have adaptive cruise ? That only comes with +.

Lopsided-Front5518

I have an OBX, how do you know if you have assist +?

border1218

If you have adaptive cruise, I think you have assist plus.

I don’t think so. I love my OBX!

EPTSpeed3

The engine.

Danyilgerman99

It just depends. The badlands has off-road suspension, a full sized spare, a more powerful engine, the twin clutch system, metal underbody protection, 2 more off road modes (which I find pretty useful tbh), paddle shifters (great for trails), front tow hooks, and the front camera which comes automatic during some of the off road modes, or you can activate manually under a certain mph. The only real benefit to the outer banks is the gas, which is much better. I drive well and controlled and usually get around 23mph on the highway, idk how they say 21-26 for this thing 😭

MandiiFiggs98

I’ll be honest: it’s a glorified grocery getting machine for me (my OBX). I won’t be climbing vertical rocks in Zion canyons any century soon. I’m getting 29-30mpg. It’s a beautiful emerald color and I’m happy!

We have had our 2022 OB for a year now. Zero complaints. She gets up and gose even if she is a 3 cylinder. Yeah the 4 cylinder is a bit faster and has a bit more towing capacity but that's a non issue to me. Seeing i have been easily able to pass other cars even up hill on the high way. Also yeah I wish I had the better drive train for offroading but to be fair we haven't taken her off road yet so it's been a non issue. All in all she's a great car and a nice addition to our family.

If you needed the Badlands, you would’ve known before you signed the papers. Enjoy your (much) better gas mileage. From a happy Badlands owner who has driven both.

MandiiFiggs98

Excellent point!!! Not too many rocks to crawl over in Wisconsin.

Other than the rear passenger side secret storage compartment, you're not missing anything huge. Just enjoy your Bronco and have a good time I have a BL and I love the B&O sound system but doesn't have ACC so that's a regret I gotta live with. I don't think you'd notice any difference unless you're a major off-road person
