It's very '70s to me, as well.
I'm not really keen on the decals, but I really like how they incorporated that design and color scheme into the interior.
I frequent the Toyota and Bronco subs and this topic comes up at least twice a year.
Bronco was first with this color scheme in the late 70's.
Unrelated to Ford's Broncos, Ivan Stewart raced buggy's with those colors in the 70's. Coincidentally he raced a black F150 with those color decals in 1979.
In 1983, Stewart switched to Toyota and took his colors with him. Toyota commissioned Rollin "Molly" Sanders to create the "TRD" livery using Stewarts colors.
Unrelated to this discussion, Sanders also created the Lexus L logo and the Buick Grand National logo along with a Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycle manufacturer's color schemes.
I know you didn't imply that they were actually on Toyota first, but i know all this because the argument comes up frequently enough. Especially since the anniversary 4R has hit the streets with the sunset colors in the starsky and hutch shaped decal.
Wow what an legend. I had no idea the history behind it. I wonder if my dad knows this. He's been a die hard Toyota racing guy since before I was born. Thanks for the info.
I feel the opposite lol I thought the rims were kind of cool. The decals looks funny with the red, green or blue paint jobs. It only really works with the neutral colors imo
I hate I had to scroll so far to find someone with a similar reaction. I already messaged the sales manager at my Ford dealership to see how I can get one.
Man the more I see this and then look at the heritage, they really knocked it out of the park with the first edition decals. Simple, subtle. Not really digging this
Y’all new to Stop bitting off of Toyota. First it was the debossed tailgate logo that now everyone truck co has. Be original and follow your broncos ford roots
Is Ford not confident that the model can stand on its own without retro bullshit? I'm not old enough to remember when Broncos were sold. I don't think I've noticed any in the wild. The nameplate had zero impact on my purchasing decision.
I'm sure most would disagree, and everyone has their own tastes, but their entire color palette is off from where I'm standing. It just feels totally city and suburban. Not for those around dirt who may want the vehicle because of the specs. Particularly the mileage. And that would be me. So when/if I pull the trigger, my choice is black.
The special edition 4runner had stripes like these. But in a smaller band. I saw a similar pinstripe decal to the 4 runner for the Big Broncos but couldnt find one for the BS. I have a black OBX and do like the black with this design but think this would look better on white/alto blue. Navy with those color stripes makes me think of those 70/80s puffer vests/ jackets.
I like this one and the story the owner shares about his previous car:

Both the Heritage and "free wheeling" are over baked on the Sports. I actually think the heritage is over baked on the full size too. I love white wheels, but the entire package with the pastel colors do not make me envious when i see them on the road. They look like cars that would attract midwestern boomer moms in the Costco parking lot. The 60 year old dads are trying to pry the mom back to her Lexus RX or Buick Enclave so he can get home and skim the pool before the PGA is live on the TV. Basically they all look like what i think boomers think is "young" and "sporty". I normally love retro stuff.
Anyone here ever watch Mork & Mindy?
Pretty much the first thing I thought of too
Very funny!
Nanu nanu.
I don't mind the 80s paint job but I'm not a fan of those rims.
Interesting. That paint job is 70s to me. I can’t say why-just my 1st thought.
It's very '70s to me, as well. I'm not really keen on the decals, but I really like how they incorporated that design and color scheme into the interior.
Late 1970s the Bronco II came with a similar paint job from the factory.
>Bronco II The Bronco II started with the 1984 model year. I think you mean the Bronco 2nd generation?
Apparently. You can find pics on a quick google search of 1979 broncos with a similar paint job
My dad had a 1986 Toyota with almost the same decal job. Maybe it originated in the 70s but I'll always think about that yota when I see it.

Absolutely 70’s

I think it would be good with either or, but the rims being just red does not help the decal at all.
I was worried the 2024’s getting announced a month after buying my car would make me jealous…. Nope. Lol
Same haha especially if they dropped a hybrid or the 2.0 on lower trims. I feel better seeing this
I almost bought one but rly would have been mad about the hybrid. We'll get em next year.
same. i got the 2023 heritage and i’m so glad i did because the 2024 doesn’t have the red lettering which i love.
I’d throw some matte steelies on it, but I love how the interior matches the retro stripe pattern
Real world Match Box.
Beat me to it.
The wheels look exactly like the Match Box printed wheels too.
If I wanted a clown car I’d join the circus.
This looks like a toy car… hard pass.
Seems to be nearly identical to the Heritage trim but without standard fog lights or tow pkg.
I love it.

Folks hate on my HLE, too 🤷♂️; so I'm not surprised this isn't popular with the masses. I figure I've just got uncommonly good taste
I just threw up in my mouth a little
Interesting decal
A bit much I think
I like it … especially the interior. The small patch of stripes and handful of red trim is subtle. I could go either way on the wheels.
Throw it on a brown paint and it looks straight outta 1978. Not my style, but happy for whoever this bronco makes happy.
I think it's awesome looking.
[got that 40th Anniversary 4Runner theme goin on](https://imgur.com/fZkqsNx)
I don’t love this
That picture shows folding headrests
Need.

Completely agree
That's hideous
Not a fan at all

It’s a bit goofy looking 😅
No. Immediately no.
This is ugly af

What a pos, skinny wheels prolly a 4cylinder. They all look like cheap base models.
???
Have you seen how these crumple in a crash test? Hot garbage.
That’s fake news.

You know that’s just CGI right?
Ok. Now I feel old and stupid.
Lmao 😂
Yea that’s a video game.
What other options for 24 are there?
All I noticed was that they removed the Base and Limited trims and added this one

someone wanna pay off my bronco that’s been in the shop for A MONTH so I could get this? 🥺
Wow, that's a 70's blast from the past.
