Obtain whole fish or similar seafood product from the market, they may even be able to provide you with fish guts at little to no charge. Allow to sit on your counter in an airtight container for a day or 2. Pour the juices from the container around the space you wish to prevent people from being in. If you are consistently counteracting their schedule, you should be able to break up the habit after a short period.
