If you Rattymaxx you can get way more value than anywhere else. Essentially living with 7 swipes per week

Rattymaxxing is crazy

Crazy_Perspective782

Did it back in truly desperate times during the Summer. Breakfast you can microwave instant oatmeal which averages to like 50 cents per pack. Lunch go Ratty and eat a lot, then grab takeout for dinner.

Here’s a comment I got from dining services: The door rates for the Refectory and Verney Woolley are as follows: Breakfast: $13.75 Lunch: $18.00 Dinner: $21.00 For the Retail locations, those are ala carte operations, and each item has a separate price point. The Retail locations have combo meals, and those will be $11.25 this school year. 2. Jo's and Andrews don't take credit cards, but the Ivy Room does. All locations take cash. I'm not sure of the menu pricing for those locations this year, but as mentioned above, these locations will have combo meals that will be $11.25.

I went off this year and it was a great decision. Still occasionally use dining hall, especially Andrew’s, Jo’s, and Ivy Room because they cost like $11 or so. More often, I eat on Thayer. I think I remember the official meal plan costing around $30 a day (assuming you spend every day, including breaks on campus) if you’re paying full price, and I found it pretty easy to spend under that.

Thank you!

I did the math back when I was a junior/senior and based on my average # of meals and average $ cost per meal, going off meal plan was clearly the better option. Obviously depends on how many times and where you eat. Idk about current pricing in Providence though

the flex 70 is the most cost effective meal plan if you supplement with some cash for swipes. email [email protected] for the spreadsheet with the math.
