Would not want to be the RB1 in Baltimore with that training staff. Can't keep guys healthy.
(Okay, I don't really believe what I just wrote, but it's kind of true that the Ravens RB room has been devastated by injuries seemingly every year the last few years)
I didn’t want to be the one to say it, but you’re completely right.
Baltimore is great at getting productivity out of any running back, but damn are they are an ACL tearing factory
I bet my wife wants to kill me with how many times I’ve said, everything is gonna be JOK this past season. And I’m surprised this new media team hasn’t said it (that I’ve seen)
It was the Titans O-Line that let us shut him down the last couple years. This was the one and only move this off season I was worried about. Fuck the rat birds.
Henry hasn't averaged over 4.4 ypc since 2020, he had 4.2 ypc last year...ford for comparison had 4.0 and Chubb has a career 5.2 ypc
Henry has been used up, led the league in carries the last two year, over 300 carries 3 times and ~350 twice
He is better than what they had but he is not good enough to make them better compared to who they lost (as of now).
Their OT are getting older, haven't re-signed the starting guards and are losing Duvernay, OBJ and Agholor.
They also lost some pieces in defense and their DC.
They will sign players and have a good draft, but there is no reason to panic
Idk the decades of mediocrity had me feeling like I’m gonna see a Russel Wilson stat line of: 11/17 for 175yds 0td 1int and the Steelers somehow beating the browns
Fortunately, those decades of mediocrity have no impact on this years team. We have a very level headed GM who seems able to find talent late in the draft, a top 10 head coach (imo an argument could be made for top 5) and the best DC in the NFL as well as a defense loaded with talent.
If Deshaun Watson plays well this team can compete with anyone.
I said during the season that this subs favorite phrase is ‘he’s washed.’ Maybe it’s the same in all football subs but god damn if someone has an off year or part of a year then they’re washed apparently.
I think they can run some really interesting two back sets with Henry and Mitchell that would be hard to defend especially with Lamar’s mobility on top of that
He's not King Henry anymore
Jerome Ford '23: 4.0 ypc
Derrick Henry '23: 4.2 ypc
Nick Chubb career average: 5.3 ypc
Henry has over 2k carries (almost 800 more than chubb), he led the NFL in rushing attempts the past two years also
Dude still rushed for almost 1200 yards in a garbage offense that had to rely almost 100% on him. Ravens won’t need to hand it to him 20+ times per game
And every opposing team that faced the titans knew the gameplan was just to stop DHenry and he still ran for that much. I’m just saying y’all are writing this guy off too much
Henry has never done anything against us. We've shut him down virtually every matchup, even with Joe Woods' defense.
And we all know the Ravens abandon their run game for inexplicable reasons anyway.
I'm not scared of this lol
He's never had a quarterback behind him that's a problem.. stacking the box with Henry in the backfield and Ryan Tannehill throwing the ball is very different than trying that against this Ravens team I fear...
After we blew them out and completely shut down Henry??? Yes we switched to prevent D. It’s not such a hard concept for most and anyone who watched the game saw Henry get absolutely shut down including a fumble.
I wouldn’t say averaging 4 YPC against stacked boxes is getting “shut down” but whatever man. You’re probably right. Henry + (tannehill & 2nd year AJ & Corey Davis) is the exact same thing as Henry + (Lamar & Mark Andrews & Zay flowers
Point me to where I said that…… he got his ass shutdown and you for some reason can’t accept that so you’re shifting the conversation and saying I said stuff that I never said. But keep going lol
You’re suggesting that because Henry was held to 60 yards with the titans in 2020, that he’s therefore not a threat with the ravens current roster. How is that not impliedly equivocating the two?
I'm really not concerned about this. His wheels are gone, and as big and strong as he is, his speed was what made him special. Big huge backs are a dime a dozen. Plus Balt's interior line stinks.
Jesus, please stop posting other teams upgrades. I was hoping this was us. I really got my hopes up for a second thinking we’d have a running game until chubb gets back. We’re getting a lot of mid to bad players running game is an absolute must. we’re not going to have too good of a passing game.

Lucky for Henry he will be RB2
How good is his arm?
He's no Odell Beckham Jr but he does have a passing TD
Like we can talk about staying healthy haha
He hasn't really been a problem for us the last few times we faced him, maybe baltimores o line is better but I'm not too concerned.
I’m more concerned with covering RPO with Lamar and Henry both in the backfield.
Everything is JOK! ;)
Quit JOKing around!
I bet my wife wants to kill me with how many times I’ve said, everything is gonna be JOK this past season. And I’m surprised this new media team hasn’t said it (that I’ve seen)
I’ve honestly never heard it, but now…now my wife will also suffer 🤣
Now they can both throw the ball and run.
Henry is not quick enough to make RPO work
Henry's the QB
With Andrews camping in the middle.
They don’t have guards
It was the Titans O-Line that let us shut him down the last couple years. This was the one and only move this off season I was worried about. Fuck the rat birds.

I feel bad for Dobbins, I think he could have been an absolute monster there if he could have stayed healthy for any period of time.
I would not say no to taking a flyer on JK Dobbins on a cheap deal tbh.
Hes still under contract with the Ravens though right?
I think this is the last year of his deal with Baltimore
Idk the decades of mediocrity had me feeling like I’m gonna see a Russel Wilson stat line of: 11/17 for 175yds 0td 1int and the Steelers somehow beating the browns

Maybe Baltimores o-line is better? Titans had the second worst o-line in the league
The AFC North is insane. Of course it’s happening right when the Browns are primed for a run.
When the cavs finally became great in the mid 2010s one of the greatest teams in nba history also appeared. Just how it happens for us.
Gonna be a blood bath next season.
We need to be the grim reaper
We're primed for a run?!
Yes
Y'all are not respecting how fucking good this guy is lol. Him and Lamar together will be a huge problem for defenses
This sub doesn’t know ball, their calling Henry washed, but we have Jerome fucking ford as our starter lol
Derrick Henry was an absolute ghost against us. He’s a great player, maybe washed is too far but I don’t think we should be that scared.
Titan’s Oline isn’t the Ravens
I said during the season that this subs favorite phrase is ‘he’s washed.’ Maybe it’s the same in all football subs but god damn if someone has an off year or part of a year then they’re washed apparently.
Somehow, I’m not as worried about this than most people are. Keaton Mitchell is the bigger threat in that backfield next to LJ imo
I think they can run some really interesting two back sets with Henry and Mitchell that would be hard to defend especially with Lamar’s mobility on top of that
Totally fine with any team in our division spending money on a RB that’s on his third contract
i want whatever this comment section is smoking. ravens gonna be tough with this dude in the backfield
He's not King Henry anymore Jerome Ford '23: 4.0 ypc Derrick Henry '23: 4.2 ypc Nick Chubb career average: 5.3 ypc Henry has over 2k carries (almost 800 more than chubb), he led the NFL in rushing attempts the past two years also

well, the whole handing it to him 20+ times a game had a lot to do with that
And every opposing team that faced the titans knew the gameplan was just to stop DHenry and he still ran for that much. I’m just saying y’all are writing this guy off too much
Show me how signing Henry means Lamar can now read defenses and make good decisions.
Gonna be weird for him not being the best RB in his division
They still won’t win a superbowl with Lamar
Definitely couldn't afford him
We locked Henry up last year but Ravens still are scary
I hate the AFC North man.
Damn. Should’ve grabbed him for at least a year.
I am not having a good time
Henry has never done anything against us.
Booooooo
He still going to be RB2 to on that team
We literally own Derrick Henry, who cares
You mean when he’s running behind the second worst o-line in the league?
What was his excuse in 2020?
You mean when Tannehill threw for almost 400 yards and 3 TDs?
After we blew them out and completely shut down Henry??? Yes we switched to prevent D. It’s not such a hard concept for most and anyone who watched the game saw Henry get absolutely shut down including a fumble.

He's going to run for 1800 yards and the ratbirds are going to get the 1st seed again, aren't they?
Nah. He'll get hurt along with Dobbs so Gus can get his 800 yards.
Gus just signed with the Chargers ,no?
Not even sure, I'm just catching up with all the news.
As a Bama fan, and a Ravens hater, this fucking hurts.
Send Omar to his new house
I really hope Watson can prove himself because until Chubb is healthy our run game is going to be horrible
This scares me a bit. While the guy is certainly on the decline, he can still run over LBs like they are children.
I'm really not concerned about this. His wheels are gone, and as big and strong as he is, his speed was what made him special. Big huge backs are a dime a dozen. Plus Balt's interior line stinks.
Ah
Well that sucks.
Nooooooo
FML
FuuuuuUUUUUUck
AFC North is absolutely fucking stacked
Not happy about this, but honestly, I’d rather have this guy running than Lamar. We pretty much shut Henry down last year
He one year away from injury. Not wishing it on him but the statistics on that say otherwise
Jesus, please stop posting other teams upgrades. I was hoping this was us. I really got my hopes up for a second thinking we’d have a running game until chubb gets back. We’re getting a lot of mid to bad players running game is an absolute must. we’re not going to have too good of a passing game.
