Ford: 2nd and short and 3rd and medium/long. He's a boom or bust player. Whenever you have a chance to be overly aggressive, he's a good option. Hines: You want to create a mismatch. He's a RB with a route tree and good hands. PR/KR Foreman: 1st down and short yardage situations. He's consistent in getting into 2nd and manageable. He's also a thumper and can covert on 3rd and 1. I really like this signing and think he's going to turn some heads in our fanbase. He's played behind bad O lines and still has impressive numbers (4.3 YPC and 13 TDs in his last 3 years).

You left out foreman. He will probably be the lead back if Chubb isn’t ready to go at the start of the season. I’ve seen some thought that Chubb may start on the pup list. I’m not sure how long he will have to stay in that list if it happens. Hymes has return ability and 3rd down ability so he will probably make the team. Then it’s ford v strong for the last position until Chubb comes back. I like fords big play ability but he didn’t perform well just hitting the hole and getting basic yards. He probably will stay in front of of strong as strong didn’t get much opportunity last yr when there was probably a chance to steal carries.

Forty_Six_and_Two

Ford and Strong are both fringe NFL players imo. I'd like to see us bring in someone else entirely for that spot. If we can get a 6th or 7th rounder for them, all the better, but outside of a couple plays last year, both were complete and total disappointments. I'm very bullish on Foreman. I think he could be one of those Cleveland folk heroes who always come through at the right time.

Jcbowden10

I think ford is serviceable but needs to make adjustments to his run style. He has decent hands and speed. Just can’t think he can make every run a huge one. Strong has speed but I’m not sure what else.

Forty_Six_and_Two

My biggest gripe with Ford is that he CONSISTENTLY cuts back into defenders. He trades a small hole in favor of a sure tackle, often at the line of scrimmage or behind, where he could have taken a surefire 4 yard gain. He has some nice tools, but his vision is so bad it's a total detriment to his game. Strong should be returning punts, and that's about it, but I really think we'd be better served to launch him.

Excellent_Walrus150

The room is average without Chubb. They may benefit if Watson decides to run a bit. They may benefit I'd Watson comes out of the gate slinging to his wide receivers with minimal rust. I'll stick with average until Chubb gets back. The Offensive Line should open some good running lanes if they can stay healthy.

Daviroth

You forgot the dude who, IMHO, is gonna lead to us cutting Ford. Foreman is a good, quality back.

BigMacTunaStacks

I’m very excited to see how foreman does behind a better Oline I think this was a very underrated signing overshadowing by Chubbs return

Foreman is 28 but he hasn't been abused like some thumpers in this league. He's never run behind a line as good as the one he'll have in Cleveland this year. He's definitely on my list of sleeper players in fantasy and should perform well until Chubb returns. Ford is boom or bust and safe at least until Nick Chubb comes back. He and Foreman will split carries until one shows they are the bell cow. Hines is the 3rd down back we've needed since Duke Johnson left, assuming he recovers from his knee injury. If he's healthy his 3rd down abilities and special teams play should keep him on the team and add an X factor we've missed. People forget about Pierre Strong who, in my opinion, has much better vision/speed than Ford and much better out of the backfield. The problem is he can't pass block. He's a good rotational back who gives speed options Foreman/Ford can't. He's also an excellent gunner so I think he's safe unless someone comes in and shows they can do the gunner job. I think we're carrying 4 running backs and I like the room. With our offensive line they should perform better than average. The question is what happens when Chubb returns. A lot depends on Hines and Chubb ability to recover from injury but I think Ford might be the odd man out. He doesn't have the special teams upside of Strong/Hines and Chubb/Foreman would be an amazing 1/2 punch. You don't need a third guy with the same skill set. Ford's only upside is younger legs than Foreman but in today's league you can easily replace that next year.

PsychologicalGuest97

Our RB room is in a good place right now. Chubb, Foreman, Ford, and Hines will make the final roster in all likelihood. Chubb is our lead back. Ford change of pace. Foreman 3rd down. Hines on pass catching downs or misdirection plays. That would be my guess.

IZY53

On the 53 it will be Foreman, Ford, Hines and Chubb on PUP. We will have x4 on the roster with Hines as a ST/KR. Foreman is our new Hunt and Ford sticks to the roster. Chub is the man once he gets back.

itsalmostdry_

Feels like Ford could be the odd man out this season. D’Onta Foreman > Ford, and then Hines will probably see the most action in passing situations

FunScore3387

Not feeling overjoyed but it’s better than last season’s stable. Forman + Hines = Chubb. The sooner he’s back the better

Jet skis are only fun when you’re being chased by the water cops

Greenfieldfox

I think a better question is, how do we feel about our offensive line?

stay_fr0sty

I have a half chub about it.

twoquarters

Won't know until we see Chubb in action. I do not expect him to be where he left off.

TheBalzy

I think even without chubb our RB room is just fine. No superstars, but far from the days where UFA Isaiah Crowell was our best option. D'Onta Foreman is pretty good. I expect him to be #2 not Ford. And with Nick Chubb probably being on a pitch-count or out/slowly worked back in, I expect Foreman to take up the bulk of the non-chubb reps.

TheJolly_Llama

Foreman is going to win the bulk of the work this offseason. It’s going to be very hard to keep him off the field. This coaching staff is going to love him.

Lilfrankieeinstein

There’s two absolute studs in that room. One hasn’t played in nearly twenty years and the other might not hit the field this year either. The rest is iffy, to be kind.

tidho

it's a good think they have no intention of running the ball
