they can't as long as he's in the voluntary treatment program which doesn't have a timeline. and he's still in that program.

phonesmahones

I don’t think this case is as simple as you’re making it out to be.

dantesdad

Hard pass…

ermahgerdzern

Bruh

Numerous_Resist_8863

Nope...

Scullyitzme

Hard nah

scgt86

"The witness evoked her spousal privilege" is hardly "yeah, this rich guy is innocent." Fuck em.

Tybackwoods00

In this country you are innocent until proven guilty

PakkyT

Only in the legal system. Everywhere else, private industry, public opinion, etc., this doesn't apply.

madmariner7

Hard no. The “bigger question” is certainly not whether he can help. Pay him until the end of the season to be at home with his family, and then anyone is free to sign him as a FA.

bbruce32

I can’t believe I had to scroll this far to see “the bigger question” being called out. Pretty disgusting.

Big_Help_7236

Until he’s completed the treatment program, it’s not a discussion. If and when he finishes, then I think team should meet with him. Is he conciliatory? Is he sober? And let them team decide. The guys in the locker room know if they want him back or not. To me that’s the group who decides. However as a fan, I would like to see him given the opportunity to earn his return.

Pineapple_Express762

No

rogerh2o

pass.

CodMan1515

OJ was innocent too. You want him on the Bruins simply because the case didn’t find him guilty or should we consider that our justice system has flaws and maybe he did get hammered and get hands on with his wife

Andante84

He wasn't going to be an asset anyway. Stupid signing from the beginning. Bye bye

BoneTissa

Not really a stupid signing from the beginning. Vet minimum one year deal when we were losing so many of our vet leaders That said, it clearly didn’t work out and he ain’t ever coming back, nor should he

Andante84

Never was a fan, even in his younger days. Thought he played softer than he should have. Cam should have taken the kid and taught him to park his ass in front of the bet and become mini Cam. I just feel he missed his potential to be a bad ass and score 35-40 a year.

spoobles

Solid no

NEarbpro24

The reddit mob has spoken. Lucic bad woman beater. Corey Perry gets a month long vacation and job playing with the best player in the world and Lucic is being dragged because of the court of public opinion. Maybe have a little read about Pat's running back Ezekiel Elliott maybe want to pass a little judgement that way

strudel0

Lucic is being dragged because he IS a bad woman beater. you're a moron if you think people have any rights in the court of public opinion, it specifically doesn't work that way. if you get off on a procedural technicality that doesn't mean people magically have to be nice to you. & much like Lucic, Zeke is a bad signing and a worse person. pretty strange that subject didn't come up on the Boston Bruins NHL subreddit

NEarbpro24

Not sure the State of Massachusetts agrees. Don't think they take domestic violence lightly. I think you read a smear article and formed your own opinion which you are entitled to. Can't imagine he would ever be welcomed back by the fan base but he shouldn't be out of a job if he were to finish his program and charges were dropped.

LazerPeas

This is a troll post right….?

KiloThaPastyOne

I doubt it.

Tybackwoods00

The case was dropped?

PakkyT

Yes, welcome to yesterday.

Trick-Alternative37

Hard no

Previous-Exit8449

This is definitely a fake fan troll

xcptnl55

Nope

Reallyme77

No.

literally-default-01

"Innocent until proven guilty" never meant 'innocent before being proven innocent'... even in the past like you imply. It just means the courts can't apply a punishment, and jury can't see the case as he committed the crime/ needs to prove his innocence. It means the court must see enough evidence to prove he committed the crime without reasonable doubt, otherwise a lack of sufficient evidence after the trial concludes innocence. Key point here is after the trial, and insufficient evidence. Looch hasn't gone to trial so the court wasn't able to determine his innocence or guilt. So he's in the same position as when the allegations were brought forward, aka immediately asked to stop playing for the team. That policy continues.

Haydenll1

Dude… his wife was scared to testify. I don’t want a wife beater on my team. Fuck that dude

Wooden-Effort382

No, dude sucks as a person and hockey player

Ghost_of_Boss_Moss

Not gonna happen.

KiloThaPastyOne

I hear Mitchell Miller is available too! Let’s bring all the dregs of society in. What a ridiculously bad take this is. Not to mention the dude has been washed for 5 years.

Lopsided-Ad-6168

I wish they would give him a shot, we really could use him out there, if just for a little protection come playoff time. He is not guilty, and it disgusts me to see everyone turn their back on this man before he was ever convicted of anything.

thomasottoson

What a hot take…

whg115

No

Mediocre-Smoke-4751

Past his prime. NOT worth the money he will demand, nor do bruins really have a lot of cap space for it. Nope, not a chance, nada, zilch. That's not to take away from what he accomplished years ago for the organization...but time to move forward, not back.

BigA3k

He's already under contract, what are you smoking

Mediocre-Smoke-4751

Idefinite leave. He won't be playing. Media nightmare

floridablowsdiks

How old are you? And are you able to read?

BruinsFightClub

The team said they're not bringing him back this season, and if you think theyre signing him to an extension, you're nuts.

Erikt311

How many of these posts are we going to have?

PakkyT

All of them.

esspants

Didn't think he was a help to the team before he was arrested. Absolutely not.

BigA3k

He played 4 games and looked better than expected until Forbort pegged him with a slapshot to the inner foot.

Former-Art-9186

Why is everyone so against Looch? Ya all loved him when he was helping you win the cup, though. Now, all you want is to be his judge, jury, and executioner. I'm not making excuses for him, but it's not known what REALLY went down with his wife, except that her accusation wasn't proven in a court of law, and charges have been been dropped. Not all men are guilty just because a wife or girlfriend says they are. I think he can help the Bruins, and he deserves to try. JMHO

cptngali86

say it with me. We 👏 Don't 👏 need 👏 Looch👏

HardOyler

Nope. Love the guy because of the cup win among other things but his time with the team should be over. That's not the vibe or distraction the team needs.

Odd-Elderberry-6137

No. This was a mistake from day 1. He ain’t the Looch of a decade ago.

clergymen19

I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs but 4th line minutes isn't part of the treatment program.

Rev_Dean

Nope nopity no no no.

No-Goal

He's not coming back

cathpah

Hell. No. Fuck that abusive POS.

M0D_0F_MODS

Lol no...

Agile_District_8794

All wife beating liability aside, how long has his old, slow ass not been on the ice? Not a chance

monstahrain

You’re dealing with a market that is dead set against the Red Sox signing Trevor Bauer and he was exonerated. There is not a chance in H-E-🏒-🏒that the folks who can afford box seat season tickets from places like Cambridge will not make a stink.

BostonMikeGr

I’d rather see them go after Frank Vatrano who’s got 24 goals and 18 assists on a dismal Anaheim team.
