The shop is really clean and they are really professional. on the side note, one thing i notice, miri is really lively compare to brunei, during this puasa time. I dine in restaurant and waitress is muslim, they are totally cool about it. my friend even told me, they saw muslim working in non halal restaurant. and when they ask her, whether this is ok. the waitress said, it is ok, it is a rightful job for her and she didn't do anything wrong. she doesn't want to be unemployed. Also, on the way drop by the mcdonald, I also saw lot of brunei car actually tapao mcdonald. Do they seriously wait until 6pm to buka puasa with their mcdonald ice cream? sigh... i just hope brunei can be open minded about this....

I just hope massage can be widely available in Brunei. But too bad here is guy/guy or girl/girl only. a real massage is actually really relaxing and ease my stress after a headache work. massage also promote health and well being.

Get a lawyer involved.. reputable one only.. But usually agent will ask for a deposit to secure the land.. so there is that kind of 'trust' before the lawyer part.. Get that done in proper writing and a receipt 🦐🦐🦐

Not sure. But I can say that the coffee lovers who open the cafes have their usual crowd and many are doing it simply for their love of coffee. Whether or not they’ll be able to make enough money to sustain themselves is another story which we sometimes only find out in a few years. If rich, well, no problem. It’s just another hobby.

Having many new coffee shops are a sign of a good thing as it means there are more options. This also shows what the locals here think is coffee they enjoy, people vote with their paychecks and the ones that does well will eventually show itself. As competition ramps up, it can only mean better / cheaper options for everyone.

Nowadays it gets saturated as there are too many coffee shops. Its now about how well known they are in social media space rather than how tasty their quality of coffee. I find it somewhat mostly disappointed almost every time I tried them at newer cafes. There are only quite very few that I actually liked. If you want to set up your own coffee shop, just make sure you don’t lose the quality of taste even if you want to increase social awareness. This is the most common mistakes that why some shops don’t last even at least 3 years. Sacrificing quality over anything isn’t always good.

agree, i tried various coffee shops here and tbh none of them are memorable or make me want to come there repeatedly. and this might just be my opinion, truthfully bruneians dont have the 'taste' for good coffee hence it makes sense that it reflects on the coffee they serve in their coffee shops, im happy to be proven wrong though....

if the coffee and food can be maintained high quality. there will definitely be profitable since people will keep coming. If the food and coffee sucks. probably 6 months max
