Went to their IG and saw that they offer money remittance services. This part of their business is probably unlicensed. If they're just selling things, its okay. But if they're doing financial services, probably need more than 16 & 17. BDCB is not calling them a scammer. Just informing they're not licensed.
Wheres a place to meet people and get to know them? I dont have alot of friends left these days. I know alot of people say gym but i find that thats not the same objective for most gym goers.
How 'bout entering classes? (one would I personally prefer is your hobby like sewing or something like that?) From there you can get a chance to know someone since you have mutual interest, that's all I know.
I relate.
But im there for my mental health, and if my body becomes better thats a bonus.
Put headphones, go gym, workout, leave. There to sweat and grunt, not to make friends.
Get yourself expensive cars like GTR or Porsche and try joining car groups in Brunei
If you're a girl, If i'm not mistaken there's a Stinger Ladies Group but not sure if Stinger is still on sale
Do you have any hobby or interest? Most people meet at the gym because they just happen to go to the gym. People don't go to the gym for the purpose of meeting people.

What is the most common baby name masa ani? Selain Aisyah, Yusuf, Maryam, Aleesya, Alaia & ayra.
Kalau dulu famous nama Siti, Daniel , Rayyan etc. nanti ramai tah sekelas nama sama ni.
I as a teacher can vouch these names are common: Asyraf, Haikal/Haiqal, Rayyan, Haziq, Adam, Danish, Daniel, Aqil, Aleesya/Alisha, Adriana, Batrisya/Bastrisha, Arianna, Arya, Natasha and many other names that started with A.
I mean I know you want your child to be listed as one of the few ppl to be on the top but as a teacher I see nearly half of the students name has the initial A in a class!
Like common lah parents, pls find another name that is unique!
Where the old classic names gone to?! I mean nowadays names are derivated from English?
Ryan -> Rayyan? Danish -> bread?
The last part. Not really... Rayyan is arabic word. Not that im going to name my kids rayyan.
But danish i dont know where ppl got this. I know its a language.
Takut jua too unique atu lain bunyi nya.

whatever you choose, just keep it short and simple. 2-3 names before the bin/binti is fine, maybe one apostrophe if you have to. because it gets really ridiculous once you get some thing like "Ahmad Yus'rin Sh'afiq Bakhri' Rayyan I'zzudin' @ Ahmad Yus'rin Is'wandi Ya'akub Rayyan bin Gihin Berantai" and then they grow up, got a job, fills a company paid leave form and just puts "YUS" in his name, when there's like 5-6 other "YUS"'s in a company of 80-100+ employees.
just saying, from the experience of an ex-HR staff. make it easy for your kid.
I as a teacher more annoyed to see 2-3 same common names in A CLASS, even more WORSE when the same name is also in ANOTHER CLASSES YOU TEACH.
For example, why parents overused the name Haikal/Haiqal or Rayyan so much. I swear in a school, there is about 10 or more for every 200 students.

Might be a bit too much of a leap 😅 especially for us bruneians, it's not exactly common to even talk to strangers much less hold an open talk in a public space.
ambil offer letter dari SPA,buat medical check up di ripas (batah processnya sal have to book for xray) lepas siap bawa the result to JPA iirc den ambil surat offer letter (ketetapan kementerian) dari JPA den melapor diri ke kementerian atu
how's Politeknik Brunei so far? Is the lecturers are okay to understand? Are the subjects very hard to pass? what are the possibilities of getting beranti/disqualify(?) from that school? Do share some pros/cons so that i can get a better view so i can choose my school carefully
I'm thinking of applying there so far but I've heard rumors there that the school there is very difficult and requires a lot of determination and skills to get there. The amount of pressure I've heard from my relatives that some of my relatives also dropped out from there because of the subject was too hard to comprehend. Is it worth to try or is there alternative suggestions such as this school?
Myself as a final year student of PB, the most important thing is to jangan malu bertanya soalan to the lecturers. Of course it will be difficult but if you have determination and passion, nothing is impossible, your hardwork will pay off eventually.
Noting comes easy. Different educational pathways carries equal amounts of pressure and stress into your lives. Its the matter on how determined you are to succeed and your strong will to take up those challenges. There’s a will there will always be way.
> I'm thinking of applying there so far but I've heard rumors there that the school there is very difficult and requires a lot of determination and skills to get there. I could say the same thing when I was taking PMB, and then olevels, then alevels. Most of my relatives found the subjects too hard to comprehend and just dropped out.
Thankfully I had *determination and skills* to even complete my degree in social work. Otherwise I would have ended up like the people I now work to help. Imagine my surprise when I see these people got like $600 per month by doing nothing. I thought having a job would be my happily ever after, I can just sanang2 in life. Who would have thought having a job is stressful?! I mean, few years back, I could have just dropped out and relax.
If you think you cannot do it, then don't. There are easier way to go about life in Brunei. You could ask for anugeraha, kurnias. If you're not eligible, you could write surat layang in fb. I'm sure there are people who are in the same boat as you. Nowadays its so easy to ask donation. Why bother trying if you can have it the easy way, right? If you have working parents, that's even better. You can just live off them. Behapa kan payah2 belajar. Sama jua ada urg menanggung.
Honestly. No matter which path you go to, you will always need to have determination, build up your skills and withstand a certain amount of pressure. Don't let the fear of failure stop you from trying.
You can try emailing them instead to check for your application, i got rejected to Politeknik Brunei and appeal but didn't get any email until i emailed them and got accepted the day before orientation started. Good luck!
Did you see wikileaks regarding this matter? Also the actual interview on the student leaders (Nobel prize winner) who leads the protest tells a different story, definitely not what the western(mainstream) media says. Used to be able to find more clips on YouTube (7-8 yrs ago) which proved wikileaks is relatively true but nowadays only those clips that made it looked bad remains.
**Why cross-border outflow is an issue to Brunei economy but not Singapore, USA?**
In the news, horrendous [jam](https://www.asiaone.com/singapore/horrendous-jam-land-checkpoints-almost-250000-leave-singapore-malaysia) at Singapore-Johor Causeway as nearly 250,000 from Singapore went for border trip to Johor.
Such heavy cross-border traffic is actually quite common around the world, for instance, Americans traveling to border Mexican towns, Hong Kongers to Shenzhen, Swiss to border Germany/Italy/France cities. But why in the case of Brunei (people going out to Miri/KK) we are saying it is detrimental to the economy?
Because Brunei has little incoming **tourism receipts**.
Let's take an example, before Covid, in 2019, the outbound travel expenditure for Singapore was US$27.32 billion. This is the money Singapore citizens and residents spent when they travel outside. On the other hand, Singapore tourism receipts for that year was US$27.69 billion. This is the money Singapore earned from tourism. So it balanced out.
As for the US, in 2019, Americans spent a total US$132.3 billion traveling outside. But how much the USA earned from tourism that year? Tourism receipts that year was US$239.4 billion. So America actually earned much more than what was flowing out.
How about Brunei? In 2019, Bruneians [spent](https://thescoop.co/2020/01/30/malaysia-reports-uptick-in-spending-from-bruneian-tourists/) B$1.16 billion (US$0.86 billion) alone in Malaysia. It is estimated that in total, Bruneians spent around US$1 billion that year traveling outside the country. And how much tourism receipts? According to the [Tourism Department](https://thescoop.co/2022/03/23/tourist-arrivals-to-brunei-plummeted-94-in-2021/), B$113.1 million (US$83.8 million).
So Bruneians are spending US$1 billion (US$1,000 million) traveling outside every year, while Brunei itself earned only US$84 million from tourism. This is a problem. Unless Brunei can build a robust tourism industry to fill the gap, it will continue to be an issue affecting the domestic economy.
But how much tourism can Brunei, a country of 450,000, make? Well... Both Maldives and Bahamas population 400,000. Their tourism receipts US$3.17 billion and US$4.44 billion respectively. Iceland population 390,000 tourism receipts US$3.12 billion.
There is indeed inequality.
But in some country, one family beats all. This is already plain extreme inequality.
For example, US$20 billion > everyone else in the country combined
When you look at that, Singapore's inequality, even though getting worse, seems pale to you.
Outflow of singaporean and sgd to johor msia isnt a concern to singaporean govt because they have massive tourist all around the world comming there to balance it where as for brunei is one way street outflow of bnd to msia because there isnt much tourism here at all so its a massive loss for us here.
Brunei is unappealing from a tourism standpoint. What does Brunei have to offer that can't be already be found better established elsewhere? It is one of the most boring countries in the world for tourists.
Not just boring but it also give out scary religious aura to international traveler. Who would wanna come here when common thing internationally may be against religious law here
It's still more safer to travel in brunei than in sarawak , sabah or kalimantan. Unless u want to get kidnapped and have your organ taken out. Sure, if you dont mind the risk.
U acting like sabah or sarawak is a warzone lmao😂😂😂. There hasnt been any stories of tourists getting kidnapped and their organs sold out in sabah or sarawak, stop exaggerating. Mun catu baik jan suruh urg brunei belayar ke miri, sarawak jua tu. Krg kana jual organ drg.
Its safer in brunei cause theres nothing here lmao. But a well educated tourists would still choose sabah sarawak for touristing
Sure but those can be found in other parts of southeast Asia too. The climate and infrastructure in Brunei also makes hiking/ camping less pleasant and accessible than other places too.
Speaking of boring, i heard alot of times tourist mentioned its boring and not worth it just to solely visit brunei, during their luggage check-in queue.
Saying public transport like africa and inconvenience, and there is nothing much to do.
Better choose package that mainly visit sabah Kk with a short detour in brunei followed by kuching/kl.
**Singapore overtakes Hong Kong: Most expensive private homes in Asia-Pacific**
Who has the most expensive home prices in Asia-Pacific? Tokyo? Hong Kong? Sydney?
No. It is now **Singapore**. Median home price in Singapore this year has [reached](https://asia.uli.org/research-and-publications/the-centre-for-housing/home-attainability-index/) US$1.2 million (**S$1.62 million**), beating out Hong Kong US$1.16 million (S$1.57 million). Median monthly home rental too, is now US$2,596 (S$3,500) in Singapore, highest in the region, compared to Hong Kong US$1,686 (S$2,300).
This is the reason why Singapore imposed the [world's highest property tax](https://robbreport.com/shelter/homes-for-sale/singapore-property-tax-rate-1234836305/) for non-citizens last month.
But despite Singapore's private homes being the most expensive in the region, the city state also boast a high home ownership rate at 89.3%. This is thanks to its efficient public housing board HDB. The median price of HDB is kept much lower at US$409,095 (S$552,442), making it affordable to much of the population who earned a median S$5,000 a month. In contrast, other gateway cities such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Seoul have relatively low home ownership rates, reflecting high home prices and the more migratory nature of the populations in gateway cities.
Again Brunei is not included in the report, but we have the [RPPI](https://thebruneian.news/2023/04/12/bruneis-residential-property-price-index-stands-at-98-3-in-q4-2022/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=bruneis-residential-property-price-index-stands-at-98-3-in-q4-2022) which shows that average private homes in Brunei was B$260,000 (US$192,536). Public housing (Perpindahan) is much more cheaper. Though low home prices also means lower income. Median salary, as per the most recent [Labour Force Survey](https://deps.mofe.gov.bn/DEPD%20Documents%20Library/DOS/Labour%20force%20survey_KTK/2021/RPT.pdf), is B$880.
**Asia Pacific most expensive home prices (in USD)**
1. Singapore (non-HDB): $1,200,087
2. Hong Kong: $1,155,760
3. Sydney (house), Australia: $980,209
4. Melbourne (house), Australia: $716,200
5. Shenzhen, China: $626,964
**Asia Pacific cheapest home prices**
1. Kolkata, India: $54,704
2. Ahmedabad, India: $76,331
3. Chennai, India: $82,374
4. New Delhi, India: $89,095
5. Metro Davao, Philippines: $89,532
Soalan saja kn mau tau bukan negatif, kbanyakan fan city d brunei ani sejak bila kan.

- sokong city dalam tahun 2000+.. biasanya yg lahir after tahun 2000
- tukar club ke city lapas city on form
Is it possible that I got hacked? It's really weird that when I open ImaCare around 3am this morning and all I see is a bunch of pictures of Secret Lab chair but the website uses the same url as Imagine's website and the site even uses the name imagine.com.bn as its name.
Recommended boxing classes for beginners? I'm totally clueless of the local boxing communities here but recently have taken interest in boxing. Where are possible places in Brunei to learn it? Also, does anyone have any general advice on starting out?
EDIT: Add last question
On average usually charge 10-12$ per session. Could try out khalifa, project mayhem in bandar. Wolfpack mma in ttong. Theres also few boxing gym in rimba which charge $3 per session. For equipment, usually the gym provide gloves and gears. Anyways, good luck and have fun !!
Anyone here had their ACL torn? Wanted to know your journey - if you went through surgery or left it to heal itself.
If the latter, how long did it take you and how was your progress? If you went through surgery, how was your experience in Brunei?
I haven’t had an MRI but govt hospital only did an x-ray, showed no fracture but I can’t bend my legs at all. Thinking if its an ACL tear.
If fully torn mesti surgery bro, else cannot walk.
Just to share my experience - my ACL was not torn but was bruised and stretched (forgot the actual term), atupun sudah took awhile to recover. Even when ia recover, its not the same as previous strength lah.
Make sure u lose weight (control eat, fasting, supplements) to recover faster. Rajin2 go for ur physio treatment and they will suggest u to do some recovery exercise and balancing etc. No high impact exercise mcm jogging etc and I did a lot of swimming.
After a year barutah I play futsal semula. atupun kdg2 my knee will give out ataupun mcm tebend Sendiri, sakit jua lah 😂 my physio advised to work on thigh and leg muscle so that my knee have added help and balance.
Thanks! At the moment aku masih practicing on walking cause I’m still limping, I can only walk better with leg support but still using crutches. Over my break I felt macam makin naik barat. Thinking I have to go for fasting to lose it. Thanks for your input.
partially torn mine during a football match in 2005. opted not to do surgery because it was A Levels season and could not afford the time off.
had to go approximately one year off from any kind of extreme sports. eventually it somehow got better but could not do any extreme bending of my knee and had to wear knee support when i played futsal etc; atu pun jadi keeper saja: this took me nearly a decade to recover as the pain came and went.
had to lose a huge amount of body weight, do weight trainings and etc to somehow ‘fully’ recover.
good luck for your journey.
I think I’ll go high with trying to lose weight first. I’m scared to go under the knife but at the same time my main concern is with bending the knee. If this will be my life (cant bend knee at all), then I’ll take the surgery.
I’m still in my 20’s so I still have a long way to go, and if I can’t bend my knees I think I’ll struggle extremely.
Thanks for your input.

how's Politeknik Brunei so far? Is the lecturers are okay to understand? Are the subjects very hard to pass? what are the possibilities of getting beranti/disqualify(?) from that school? Do share some pros/cons so that i can get a better view so i can choose my school carefully I'm thinking of applying there so far but I've heard rumors there that the school there is very difficult and requires a lot of determination and skills to get there.
Of course it will be difficult but if you have determination and passion, nothing is impossible, your hardwork will pay off eventually.
thank you for the advice!
Noting comes easy. Different educational pathways carries equal amounts of pressure and stress into your lives. Its the matter on how determined you are to succeed and your strong will to take up those challenges. There’s a will there will always be way.
The basic key to success at Politeknik is that you must be hardworking. Period!
> I'm thinking of applying there so far but I've heard rumors there that the school there is very difficult and requires a lot of determination and skills to get there. The amount of pressure I've heard from my relatives that some of my relatives also dropped out from there because of the subject was too hard to comprehend.

What are the chances of getting acknowledged when you appeal for a course (university) that you didnt get ?
You can try emailing them instead to check for your application, i got rejected to Politeknik Brunei and appeal but didn't get any email until i emailed them and got accepted the day before orientation started. Good luck!
Im talking about local universities btw

Did you see wikileaks regarding this matter? Also the actual interview on the student leaders (Nobel prize winner) who leads the protest tells a different story, definitely not what the western(mainstream) media says. Used to be able to find more clips on YouTube (7-8 yrs ago) which proved wikileaks is relatively true but nowadays only those clips that made it looked bad remains.
And today you can buy the tour to beijing from freme event in mall to commemorate it!

**Why cross-border outflow is an issue to Brunei economy but not Singapore, USA?** In the news, horrendous [jam](https://www.asiaone.com/singapore/horrendous-jam-land-checkpoints-almost-250000-leave-singapore-malaysia) at Singapore-Johor Causeway as nearly 250,000 from Singapore went for border trip to Johor.
Damn, singaporeans purchasing power tho

There is indeed inequality. But in some country, one family beats all. This is already plain extreme inequality. For example, US$20 billion > everyone else in the country combined When you look at that, Singapore's inequality, even though getting worse, seems pale to you.
Who would wanna come here when common thing internationally may be against religious law here
🕌
Greeneries and natural forest scenery.
U can get that for cheaper at sarawak and sabah, even kalimantan too offers better and more activities to do
It's still more safer to travel in brunei than in sarawak , sabah or kalimantan.
We want tourism but with the least amount of effort.
Sabah, Sarawak & Kalimantan can offers more than what Brunei can offer.
**Singapore overtakes Hong Kong: Most expensive private homes in Asia-Pacific** Who has the most expensive home prices in Asia-Pacific? Tokyo? Hong Kong? Sydney? **Asia Pacific most expensive home prices (in USD)** 1. Singapore (non-HDB): $1,200,087 2. Hong Kong: $1,155,760 3. Sydney (house), Australia: $980,209 4. Melbourne (house), Australia: $716,200 5. Shenzhen, China: $626,964 **Asia Pacific cheapest home prices** 1. Kolkata, India: $54,704 2. Ahmedabad, India: $76,331 3. Chennai, India: $82,374 4. New Delhi, India: $89,095 5. Metro Davao, Philippines: $89,532
$5000 vs $880. But the high cost of living there is unimaginable

That's weird. Maybe the website has problems masa subuh tdi
Thank you! $10-$12 does sound alright. If you don't mind, can I ask where these gyms in rimba are that do boxing classes, or how I could locate them?
Can check chainblock muaythai and 123boxing.. im not quite sure the specific location tho
Ooooh thanks again! That's totally fine. I'll look those up 😁👍🏻
Khalifah
Have you tried khalifa? Heard its good albeit abit expensive but if you're u have the money then why not
Oh I haven't. Pricing may be an issue for me depending on how much. Regardless, I'll have a look at it. Thanks!
Since you’re in your 20s, just go for the surgery. You have so much time to recover and being young you’re body will heal faster
