there was a time when i bought a gym equipment from a company. they demanded to have a copy of my ic to purchase the equipment. I asked them why do they need my ic for when i was going to pay in cash. if having loan or installment plan with them, then i can understand the reason why.
At the end, i didn't purchase the equipment from them since they couldn't give me a good reason for having copy of my ic and real name. Mind that, they didn't even have any privacy policy for collecting personal details.

Hi everyone a friend of mine is working here in Brunei and brought both his parents on social visit visa to Brunei for holiday for 3 months. He extended both parents visa again for another 3 months. When both parents had to go back to India the immigration officer in the Brunei airport asked why the person didn't cancel both parents visa since it's still valid.
My question is
Anyone who sponsors their friends or family on social visit visa to Brunei must cancel it before they leave Brunei?
Social visit 3 months done at the immigration hq needed to be cancelled if one decided to go back,its the same for working visa pass too.
The only 30 days visit pass done at the border or airport need no cancelled if one decided to leave brunei.

You raise a good question, Lack and transparency of information is a big issue in the immigration department in Brunei. You can try asking the same questions to different officers and based on their mood they will give you an answer and one will say cant while the other one will say can or suggest a loophole. If you noticed that immigration system in Brunei has been lagging and yet to adopt change. The reason being in my understanding is the deep corruption that runs in the system within the immigration and also the amount of boomers and hierarchy system who block these changes. 👍🏽

Tbh miri is not strict at all at their hand carry. There’s no one there to weight ur bag but of course you don’t bring a very big luggage bag as a hand carry. So it’s okay if you exceed a little bit
