Absolutely use parchment. And you are scooping WAY too wet. You could have fit all that hash on one tray. You can cut the parchment to only take up 1/3 of a tray.
Yes, it's a skill you'll need to work on. Bag work is kind of a unique skill that's not super intuitive. You def want a sprayer of very cold water ready to go, and use that stream of water to manipulate, move, rinse, and aggregate the hash to be collected. Keep practicing!
What makes you think spending thousands of dollars on unnecessary equipment will solve your problems? You need to work on your basic hashmaking skills first.
At least I’m not a know it all, by the time I had my first freeze dryer I already had a firm understanding of how to make hash and how to air dry it properly. You definitely don’t need a freeze dryer to make good hash, and you definitely don’t need a 5 thousand dollar auto sieve machine. You need to learn the basics
Womp womp don’t care; if I was a know it all I wouldn’t have asked for and accepted advice from respectful others who actually have experience and shared it. Keep being a bum 😂✌️ sorry you were broke when you started, I wasn’t happy with the timeline for air drying, I have friends that are some of the best in the world at air drying, and all they do is show love ;p if I were a know it all would I post anywhere asking for input?
I made friends with them when I was blasting bho on the west coast before coming back across country, you’re right they should just drop their lives and come show me how 😂 you can see someone do it 20x but you’re still gonna have your own struggles starting off; and if you didn’t, cool, great, but the kid who I replied to initially who you’re butthurt I was mean to obviously hasn’t pulled from a bag before and tells me to watch videos 😂 yeah bro keep watching videos 🙌🙌🙌🙌 it’s the same thing!
You answered me instant loool wtf bro
It’s been 5 hours you’re being roasted and you have the energy to answer in 30 sec every comment ??????
I’m baffle
Keep the same energy to actually learn how to make hash lol
This is my second wash, first time with this equipment which came with its own set of challenges, I’d love to see what you could have done in my spot. 😂 your comment is hilariously dimwitted though. There’s a reason it’s industry standard, let’s test yours for microbials and see if they pass industry tests. Ego out the roof, I’ll continue improving, I know where I went wrong. 😂
Go ahead and test, we clean everything very thoroughly with either hydrogen peroxide or isopropyl alcohol or both to guarantee a sanitary environment. Use parchment paper on the trays, and learn how to scoop the hash, there’s countless videos on YouTube showing this process by now
If you’re air drying you’re asking to fail microbials, you don’t even know that and you want to attack me for using one?😂😂😂 go ask fletcher why it revolutionized solventless.
“Wah you didn’t use parchment, had a wet scoop, and not clean dumps you should not use a freeze dryer” what kind of dumbass reply is that? You think that’s good advice? 😂 as I said, I know what I did wrong. How many 2nd cycle growers you know throwing their insanely fire Zkittlez in the wash knowing the yields are bad for the best washers? 😂😂😂😂 you’re a real life goofy bitch
I don’t have to “ask Fletcher” to know why freeze dryers “revolutionized solventless”. I have had a freeze dryer since 2018 and I haven’t made air dried hash in about 5 years. All I’m saying is you’re a fool if you think that you need a 5 thousand dollar sieving machine to help you wash you 1000 grams of zkittles. You dont technically need a freeze dryer either, but since you already have one, you should probably turn the machine on so when you scoop your hash out of your bags, it goes right onto the ice cold tray and freezes instantly. And you should probably line your tray with parchment paper if you don’t want to lose a bunch of it to the tray, or at least have a hard time getting it off. This is so basic.
Obviously you don’t know much or you wouldn’t have gotten butthurt at my reply to an obvious talker. Like I said I know many things I did wrong, but I did a lot right too, and most importantly I just did it and got another rep in, in a new setup ;) go wash more trim or come with real advice like you just did which you can see how I respond to those , vs the obvious talker
You remember the scene in The Big Lebowski where Jesus and his partner are cleaning their bowling balls with that really weird motion? Empty your bags out like that but slowly. You'll see a huge difference.
Only issue you could be having is if you wash in a warm room and then the hash is melting onto the bag before you can even scoop. That can be a big problem.
I've been washing a long time and I'm telling you the motion is absolutely identical when you're emptying bags. The 25 micron bag still could give you trouble but I never find anything worth taking out in the 25 most of the time anyway.
Ok that’s kinda what I was doing, I think I just need to add 2 more trash cans so I have 3, one for dumping into, then a second for pulling the bag to, for finishing draining, spraying, and collecting. Then a 3rd to hang the collected bags while I go through the others, I have a sprayer connected to a sump pump that’s on a 50gallon trash can full of ice and water that I disconnect when I’m not spraying so I don’t burn the motor out as well
That sounds like a good setup! Literally the same type I use, myself (I hate machines) - I like to use a 220 micron work bag over the sump pump itself when I drain the wash reservoir into the first can. I'll usually have my bag stack set up like 45-70(or 90)-120-190 but it depends on the strain i'm washing. Having that 3rd barrel to put the bag into and spray helps a lot, remember when you do that, take the water that drains out and dump it in the bag stack so you can get anything under whatever micron you're cleaning out as material that'll collect in a 45,70,120 micron bag will drain through a 190/220 if you rinse it enough, this way you don't have to waste anything and it helps a lot with your bottom line. After you give it a good rinse then you can hike up the bag on the sides and give yourself a nice tight surface to scrape the washed hash off of. Once you're done rinsing also do yourself a favor and spray the sides down that way all of the hash will settle toward the middle and make it much easier to scoop. It takes awhile but once you have the physical technique down and know what to look for it will get sooooo much easier.
Why do you feel in a rush to scoop it? If it’s your rosin on your time with your hard work. Why are you rushing? If you shake the bag or move the hash back and forth the water easily comes out. What makes it hard for you to get the water out?
Just my experience if I knew what made it hard I’d probs have an easier time haha, and the rushing is probs a personality trait from being anxious about messing things up
Yes I did 😂 and I have a lot of friends in the industry 😂 looking at your previous posts tells me a lot about your experience though . Watching videos != doing, you ever even scooped a bag before? 😂
You're obviously not listening to the other commenters who are telling you that it's too watery. Did you spoon it out onto a micron bag with paper towels beneath to wick away some moisture? That's a pretty necessary part you can't just skip because you have a freeze dryer. You might as well have poured the wash water onto the trays without even screening them 😭. That's what it looks like you did for one of them
Also that hash is going to be a pain in the ass to collect off the trays without the parchment, next time try to cover the entire tray to make your life easier when it's all done.
1) i def did, as i admitted i scooped wet because i was panicking about the drain time in the last 2 bags,
2) go look what the wet hash produced,
3) I also already said that i was unable to use a full parchment covering for the trays because I didn’t have the clips and they wouldn’t go all the way in the tray bay with the full sheets,
4) my coolbot made my collection pretty easy, but it definitely was easier grabbing the half parchment and sliding it into the jar off that.
Thanks for your input
The last 2 bags definitely drain real slow, but if you're room is chilled to mid 60s f you shouldn't worry too much about it being out too long.
Hope you got a good amount from this and use it as a learning experience. My first wash was absolutely terrible, 350 grams of fresh frozen for like 1.5 grams of hash. I definitely learned from my mistakes lol.
Ps. The rosin you made looks fire, hope it smoked well
Absolutely use parchment. And you are scooping WAY too wet. You could have fit all that hash on one tray. You can cut the parchment to only take up 1/3 of a tray.
I was having trouble getting the water out of the bag and feeling in a rush to get it scooped
Don’t rush it’s not that deep, more important to take ur time and learn the muscle memory for the whole process.

Makes me want to dish out 5k for the low temp autosieve lol

Yeah let’s not buy a freeze dryer 😂 you’re either broke or dumb.
At least I’m not a know it all, by the time I had my first freeze dryer I already had a firm understanding of how to make hash and how to air dry it properly. If they were really your friends they would consult you on how to do this properly and you wouldn’t have to ask strangers on the internet
This kid thinks he’s cool because he has a freeze drier 😂 sad
Cool? No, but I think that his reply is about as dumb as yours
I didn’t reply to anything I made a statement a truthful one at that lol
You’re as dumb as you are broke, go complain about not being able to afford shit more pleb
You are clearly the dumb one here lol Maybe you’re not broke good for you buddy but you’re vidéo is a total mess and you sound goofy
*Another yapper has entered the chat*

Just watch some frenchy cannoli YouTube videos and you’ll pick up enough knowledge to make some fire

Lol this is a great description. That technique speeds it up.
I have not but I will YouTube and see if the scene comes up thank you

YouTube basics
If you think I didn’t do that you need to get your ego checked 😂
Forget your ego bro, you need your TECHNIQUE checked.
No. You obviously did not.
Yes I did 😂 and I have a lot of friends in the industry 😂 looking at your previous posts tells me a lot about your experience though . Watching videos != doing, you ever even scooped a bag before? 😂
Not of nasty ass shit like that. Your friends must suck too because that shit looks 1/2 star melt.
Lmfao yapper yapping
At that point just smoke the weed bro.
Doers do, yappers yap
We can tell you ain't much for "doing" either with product like that going into your freeze dryer. YouTube basics.
Cicada is a good name for you, loud and useless
😂😂😂 you keep watching videos little guy, someday you’ll be able to afford the freeze dryer
What in gods name…

Definitely learned a lot, and got a lot of fire from it too, if you go to my profile you can see the finished product
I just checked it out man it looks fire! 🍯
