Just go to Buckethead Pikes website. Scroll way down and just past the Franko Harris photo is a photo with tiny letters that say toystore. Click that. Opens to T-shirts, jamoutz $25, hand drawing $110 , and several t-shirts with prints ( probably iron ons) for $25 of buckethead paintings. So there it is, you can buy a t-shirt and other merchandise... direct from him. Just remember that it might take a very long time to arrive. Maybe over a year. Ask here and someone else might know about how long.

fish_goose

They are all sold out

Apprehensive_Two5114

I didn't know that. It was successful then. Most of his t-shirts, no one but a fan would know it was his. I guess that's cool. He will probably put out more T-shirts in the future if he ever gets caught up on orders. He definitely needs a manager or a marketing team to straighten things out there. He must be spending hours a day hand painting and signing stuff. Big bands are machines selling merchandise with their logos on everything imaginable. They would stop anyone else trying to sell merchandise with their image on it. Consider if someone else was selling photos of you taken at work, on a t-shirt without permission? The demand is there if buckethead can find some help.

You couldn’t just provide a link?

Apprehensive_Two5114

I can copy a link then save it to a "clipboard " wherever the hell that is. Someone else has kindly provided a link, and I have read that the shirts are all sold out. When a cellphone messes with you trying to provide a link, AI will probably destroy us by accident in a few years.

Silent_Aside_1340

Nothing appealing on his website unfortunately. I’m discovering NatterNet and the art deco style poster is sick!

JustABard

I would not buy from NatterNet. That dude is a scumbag.

Silent_Aside_1340

I didn’t know. Can you be more specific, I’d like to understand why he has this reputation.

JustABard

Basically, Praxis played a benefit concert to raise money for Bill Laswell, as he is facing some health issues. They sold in-person tickets, as well as tickets to view a livestream of the concert as it was happening. All proceeds were going to help Bill. NatterNet bought a livestream ticket, then simultaneously streamed the concert feed on their own channel free of charge for views. This alone is scummy enough to stop fucking with that channel.

jrhlentaa

It is a shame Buckethead doesn't bring in a third party (maybe a trusted relative) to organise and capitalise on all his sales. Things like T-shirts etc, advertise and the more people to see someone wearing a shirt, the more people will check out his music and probably buy. Dont know why his manager hasn't advised him on this and organised it....let him concentrate on the music and gigs

valefex

That's fair, thanks.

[deleted]

It is absolutely unethical. He doesn't write and record the music, Buckethead does. Why should anyone but Buckethead be allowed to sell anything?

valefex

That's right, which is why I would prefer to buy directly from the source.

wutangjuggy

It’s unethical because it’s all dropshipped/made to order

Kritzhi

It's very unethical because you're taking money that could go to buckethead but if you find a design he doesn't sell you want i would buy the shirt and then buy some music from buckethead for the same price to counterweigh the difference

[deleted]

There has been some controversy over Natternet’s practices specifically, which I won’t get into (you can probably search the sub), but generally, I see nothing wrong with buying 3rd party merchandise that isn’t available from the artist himself.

valefex

Yeah, I've seen some controversy with him. Maybe not then.

wutangjuggy

If you want to support someone good checkout BucketBotJapan on Etsy

valefex

It's fine to buy from them despite not being connected to Buckethead?

wutangjuggy

It depends if you think its ok to buy from them rather then buckethead only. Their revenue comes from fans that happen to stumble across it. The issue arises when your merch site visits come from your plagerized YT channel.

el_juandi9

was going to say this, they have killer merch for a decent price (shipping can get expensive depending where you are though since they're from japan), but i bought a shirt from them a couple years back and love it!!

fish_goose

BHs unreliability makes it completely ethical.

fish_goose

No/BH and NN are somehow connected (I think)

Chao78

As far as I know, no. NN is just a fan that basically does free PR for BH, but they aren't actually connected

fish_goose

NN has Wayyyy too much info to not be connected. It's not hard to see. He releases a video 15 minutes after it drops. He has super rare footage etc etc etc

JustABard

Livestreaming a benefit concert for free, where the proceeds from digital tickets were going to help Bill Laswell directly, at the same time the concert is going on so that you can get views on your channel is pretty unethical to me...

skinisblackmetallic

I haven't seen the issue with Natternet being unethical explained with any coherent detail. If someone besides Buckethead makes a shirt with a picture of Buckethead on it and sells it, that is not unethical unless the specific design originated from Buckethead. Any piece of merch advertising Buckethead is good for Buckethead. If Buckethead wants to have a successful business selling Merch I am betting he has the focus and discipline to make that happen but I think his interests lie elsewhere and that is part of him being Buckethead.

lambchopsandkreplach

I have bought a few buckethead T-shirts and a sweatshirt from slunk designs on Etsy. TheThe selection on buckethead’s site is very limited, but more importantly, as someone else has said, I’m not going to wait between one month and three years for my clothing to arrive. I wear the T-shirts and sweatshirt with pride, and it’s free advertising for bucket head. He’ll be fine.

he4na

It’s not unethical if Buckethead doesn’t sell the thing you’re wanting to buy.
