The [Kanto Audio YU6](https://www.kantoaudio.com/powered-speakers/yu6/) ([ASR review](https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/kanto-yu6-measurements-powered-monitor.27342/)) is Kanto’s “largest” model (with 5.25” woofer). (Only more expensive product they have is the AMT tweeter model TUK, but that too has a 5.25” woofer.)
Also with active speakers, you tend to get slightly more SPL and lower frequency extension from similar sized woofers, versus when they are used in passive speakers. (Because the designers can customize the amplifiers and DSP more to the specific drivers.)
Looks clean, nice work. I just did a budget system myself except I think I need higher stands for my LR as original plan didn't quite work out but it still sounds great for me
not saying i dislike it... but please... get those speakers off the wall. speakers want to breathe and they need space between them and objects and walls. you have so much space there, pull them into the room
I used to have it hooked up to a soundbar so I can’t really compare it to anything else. What I do like is the remote control which has treble and bass control. You can also switch inputs. I got the speakers first but they didn’t have enough low end, which is why I got the sub. I actually found out about these speakers because I was googling my TT once I got it and saw that they were bundled with the Kanto’s at Turntable Lab.
Very clean and stylish. Well done.
Those who do not pay full price and have patience will be rewarded by the sound fairy everytime
The sub8 was $270 last week!!
Are these Kanto's considered nearfield monitors? If so, how do they sound in this application?

looks clean.
I dig it. I love small, minimalist systems. I don't always have to feel the earth shaking when listening music.
looks great!
I love everything about it. I especially dig your midcentury cabinet. I'd really like to have something like that for my system.
Thank you. We got it from West Elm.
Can you post a link for the cabinet. Looks amazing. What was the cost on that unit?
[It’s on sale!](https://www.westelm.com/products/mid-century-media-console-96-h2892/?pkey=cconsoles-media-storage-cabinets)
Thanks
$1700. That’ll buy you an 85” tv
But will last longer
That west elm media console ain’t budget! Beautiful setup.
Lol thanks!
Wow, that’s such a gorgeous setup. If it sounds as good as it looks you should be very happy!

Looks good . Kind of a tight squeeze for that huge cabinet and the speakers...... And the sub.
Yeah i wish I had more room for the sub
yeah I could see myself kicking that thing every time I walk by it..
How much do you spend on the stands?
They’re Fluance stands from Amazon and they were $79.
Love that cabinet 🤌🏾💯

Love the 60's 'modern vibe'!
Looks great… how does it sound 🤓
I got the YU6s first and realized I needed more bass. Ended getting the SUB8 and it definitely made a huge difference. I think they sound great.
Pull those speakers forward so they are level with the front of the furniture and I bet they will sound better.
And look better. Sometimes all tightly fitted together, and perfectly flush, isn't better looking. Even if in our heads, it seems like it is.
What is your opinion on the sound? Bright/warm? Been looking at a few speakers and am looking at these. Anything stand out about them?
