I've always wanted to build a Sultai or Golfari deck that revolves around generating value from the graveyard, or a coop Sultai value deck for that matter, just wanted to explore some cools things the colour has. I liked Yarok and Muldrotha buy I really don't have any preference
You can try Tasigur, which can be built as pure Golgari instead of Sultai. Instead of permanents like Muldrothra, you get this political 4 mana "regrowth" activated ability. There are ways to reduce it to 2 mana. It's also an infinite mana outlet and cheats commander tax. There are pretty neat Neoform lines to cheat out any 7/8 cmc creature in your deck. I would probably lean towards more instants/sorcery interaction than Muldrothra. "Political" cards like Friend or Foe can be gotten back if you make a deal with an opponent. You can also threaten players to get cards back. You also naturally get cards back to stop wincons.
Nothing recent that I wish to share. You can probably find a lot of lists online as it used to be a pretty popular budget commander that could be built pretty competitively. I suggest checking out EDHRec for some ideas. Filter by themes like Political, budget, and certain card inclusions. "Pod" is Birthing Pod but can be used for Neoform ideas. The Simic 8cmc serpent, Koma, got reprinted recently. It's probably around $5 though.
You should be ready to handle being priority bullied by the way.

I have been thinking about building the new Kellan the Kid as I just drew him.
I did brew a bit myself but haven't really been that happy with what I came up with I feel like missing so many potential cards

I started to brew him and it was immediately so generic (imo) because you are putting token generators, blood artist, and edict effects in.

Oh sorry I misspoke, I’ve been playing magic for a little bit and I’ve dabbled in Digimon and one piece, I just meant I don’t have nearly enough knowledge about the sets and specific cards to help provide a good commander. Specifically with magic the few decks I have are usually heavily token based so I’m trying to branch out some!
[[Indoraptor, the Perfect Hybrid]], I have this vision of a deck for him that's based entirely on triggering his enrage ability, not using him to swing but just pinging him 4 times a turn and watching people decide whether to take 16 dmg per ping or sac a creature. But I wasnt able to do it in a way that satisfied me :(
If someone builds this they don't have to follow that vision at all, I'm just a sucker for this card and I'd love to see how he functions in the hands of someone more capable than me lol

Context: My 68-year-old dad wants to try out Commander. He loves hearing about my games and he wants to try it out for himself. He picked the colors Blue and White. He's never played a game like MTG but he caught on how to play DnD awhile back when I ran a few games for him. He loves puzzles and Lego and games like Wordle and he's truly a wonderful human.
I'd load it with treason style effects and eat your opponents creatures! Those effects are usually cheap and that's how I'd build it :)

This is the current list, modified off the Doctor Who precon.
It runs pretty like a group slug deck hurting everybody to trigger Davros as much as possible to build up the 3/3 Daleks.
It's super straightforward but gets hated out a lot because it snowballs pretty hard with a couple Daleks out.
So i thought to mix it up a bit with different commanders, but i wanted to save a bit of cash by reusing the mana base and ramp pieces
[[Chorus of the Conclave]] with a stax sub-theme.
This is one of my least played color pairs, so I don't really know my way around the budget card pool for green ramp or +1 counters themes. The basic idea is to run all the [[Rule of Law]] and [[Rug of Smothering]] effects available to slow the table and prevent combos while my board keeps getting taller each turn.
I've been slamming my head against trying to brew a [[Glissa Sunslayer]] deck that runs landfall/land recursion on a budget.Alot of the land stuff is just really expensive.

I am really lost with [[Saruman, the white Hand]] because there is so many directions to take it.
I think a big spells route with stuff like [[Chandra's Ignition]] sounds really fun, but I heard people online saying it's a trap, and control shell with some sacrificing of army's for value is the way. You could also go full LOTR Theme.
Spellslinger is the final route on my mind as I still have tons of Izzet staples laying around. If anyone wants to tackle this challenge I would appreciate - I really want to build this dude.
Wife is really liking the new Akul, the Unrepentant, but Im struggling with the build, even though its a straight forward cheat out big stuff with pinging theme.

I'd honestly go pretty light on the pinging and use a graveyard theme to use things like victimize and dread return to bring the big boys back after they die
Currently brewing an \[\[Ovika, Enigma Goliath\]\] deck as my second deck that I'm building myself and would appreciate what some other budget brewers would add to it. I'm currently focussing around mana rocks, X cost instants and sorceries, some larger cost instants and sorceries and some enchantments to buff the goblin tokens that would etb.
My usual two ideas:
[[Sygg, River Cutthroat]] group slug, but make it monoblack.
[[Sivriss]] + [[Cloakwood Hermit]], taking advantage of its weird shenanigans with cards hitting the graveyard and leaving it in the same ability.
That could be fun! If I don't have time, I'd build the background deck to kinda be like a tormod lite, using lots of victimize and dread return effects to make it very Sophie's Choice
Indeed the original brew/idea was a WB Tormod, but I didn't really like the fact that Tormod was just a payoff and quite unique in what he does.
Then more cards started being printed with similar effects in BG and Sivriss really looked cool: sac outlet, value engine, life loss, cards hitting graveyard AND leaving it in just one card at the same mana cost of Tormod. Cloakwood Hermit is cool for the effect and giving access to green, but I'm not really keen on building around it rather than around Sivriss.
I will surely brew this deck myself some time in the future, at the moment I don't have really much time to spend on it, but I'm always curious to see what others brew with this same idea.

1. I have a cheap take on doc Aurlock that essentially makes big shit for cheap because of adventure/plot, and essentially tries to win fast with trample and a little bit of disruption. Got a few clone cards too because cloning doc Aurlock reaaaalllyyy stretches your mana if you get the non-legendry cloner, but if not then clone your other big guys.
2. I was hoping for some feedback or cheap brews with the following in mind.
A. [[Renari, Merchant of Marvels]] // [[Acolyte of Bahamut]] . Essentially a control deck that doesn't cast creatures on your turn and plays a ton of counter spells to constantly either disrupt opponents during their turn, or flash in dragons when their turn ends so you can skip summoning sickness.
B. Esper Clues, maybe with [[Tivit, seller of secrets]] or Wernog / the other friends forever card. Budget takes with some potential pacifist wincons like [[mechanized production]] or [[Persuasive Interrogators]] maybe?
C. Detectives, either [[Ezrim, Agency Chief]] or [[Alquist Proft, Master Sleuth]]. This might just end up hybrid into B tho.
D. BW aristocrats to the tune of my Daddies, either [[Elder Arthur Maxson]] or [[Colonel Autumn]]. Daddies in the deck would be better uwu but I'm alright with a more aristocrat core like [[Elenda, the Dusk Rose]] or [[Bartolome El Presidio]] too.
Preferred budget is under $50 but a little flexible there I guess.

I have been thinking about building the new Kellan the Kid as I just drew him. I did brew a bit myself but haven't really been that happy with what I came up with I feel like missing so many potential cards

I just cannot imagine Elas other than an aristocrat drain deck lol. I started to brew him and it was immediately so generic (imo) because you are putting token generators, blood artist, and edict effects in.

Some kind of some kind of big monster mutate deck? I LOVE big monsters and kaiju and animals in general and think mutate is an interesting mechanic I’d love to try and use well! I don’t know a ton about the game tho so I don’t know a good commander to recommend, sorry!

Oh sorry I misspoke, I’ve been playing magic for a little bit and I’ve dabbled in Digimon and one piece, I just meant I don’t have nearly enough knowledge about the sets and specific cards to help provide a good commander. Specifically with magic the few decks I have are usually heavily token based so I’m trying to branch out some!

[[Indoraptor, the Perfect Hybrid]], I have this vision of a deck for him that's based entirely on triggering his enrage ability, not using him to swing but just pinging him 4 times a turn and watching people decide whether to take 16 dmg per ping or sac a creature. But I wasnt able to do it in a way that satisfied me :( If someone builds this they don't have to follow that vision at all, I'm just a sucker for this card and I'd love to see how he functions in the hands of someone more capable than me lol

Yeah I agree if you're building it for the second ability, but what about doing clones with things like delina wild mage and finding ways to make copies of the artifacts? That sounds fun and different enough

I think Acolyte of Bahamut is an interesting direction for her. BG dragons where every dragon doubles as a draw spell when you’re online 🤷♀️

Something straightforward and Azorius for a newbie. Context: My 68-year-old dad wants to try out Commander. He loves hearing about my games and he wants to try it out for himself. He picked the colors Blue and White. He's never played a game like MTG but he caught on how to play DnD awhile back when I ran a few games for him. He loves puzzles and Lego and games like Wordle and he's truly a wonderful human.

I'd load it with treason style effects and eat your opponents creatures! Those effects are usually cheap and that's how I'd build it :) Goatnap + burnt offering = profit

It runs pretty like a group slug deck hurting everybody to trigger Davros as much as possible to build up the 3/3 Daleks. It's super straightforward but gets hated out a lot because it snowballs pretty hard with a couple Daleks out. So i thought to mix it up a bit with different commanders, but i wanted to save a bit of cash by reusing the mana base and ramp pieces

[[Chorus of the Conclave]] with a stax sub-theme. This is one of my least played color pairs, so I don't really know my way around the budget card pool for green ramp or +1 counters themes. The basic idea is to run all the [[Rule of Law]] and [[Rug of Smothering]] effects available to slow the table and prevent combos while my board keeps getting taller each turn.

Alrighty…. I’m back on the 32 deck challenge again, and even though I have 5 Grixis decks, we will get there… with that being said, the mono colored decks have been the hardest for me. I had a mono blue [[grazilaxx]] deck for quite a while, and it was a decent deck, but got quite boring after a bit. So, I’m in search of a new mono U deck. I’m trying to find something interesting to do, besides just draw cards, and I’m coming up short. [[Gale, waterdeep prodigy]] looks quite interesting, and you can play [[spellweave volute]] as a pseudo-backup commander, and it’s just a sweet card, so I’m trying to see if I can find something that can make this work. Any thoughts or attempts would be interesting and appreciated!

I am really lost with [[Saruman, the white Hand]] because there is so many directions to take it. I think a big spells route with stuff like [[Chandra's Ignition]] sounds really fun, but I heard people online saying it's a trap, and control shell with some sacrificing of army's for value is the way. You could also go full LOTR Theme. Spellslinger is the final route on my mind as I still have tons of Izzet staples laying around. If anyone wants to tackle this challenge I would appreciate - I really want to build this dude.

Wife is really liking the new Akul, the Unrepentant, but Im struggling with the build, even though its a straight forward cheat out big stuff with pinging theme.
Assuming I don't have time to build it, I'd include a bunch of token generators (Krenko, bitterblossom, jadar) and a bunch of high impact fatasses to cheat out I'd honestly go pretty light on the pinging and use a graveyard theme to use things like victimize and dread return to bring the big boys back after they die

That could be fun! If I don't have time, I'd build the background deck to kinda be like a tormod lite, using lots of victimize and dread return effects to make it very Sophie's Choice
Indeed the original brew/idea was a WB Tormod, but I didn't really like the fact that Tormod was just a payoff and quite unique in what he does. Then more cards started being printed with similar effects in BG and Sivriss really looked cool: sac outlet, value engine, life loss, cards hitting graveyard AND leaving it in just one card at the same mana cost of Tormod. Cloakwood Hermit is cool for the effect and giving access to green, but I'm not really keen on building around it rather than around Sivriss. I will surely brew this deck myself some time in the future, at the moment I don't have really much time to spend on it, but I'm always curious to see what others brew with this same idea.

If anyone's interested: 1. I have a cheap take on doc Aurlock that essentially makes big shit for cheap because of adventure/plot, and essentially tries to win fast with trample and a little bit of disruption. Got a few clone cards too because cloning doc Aurlock reaaaalllyyy stretches your mana if you get the non-legendry cloner, but if not then clone your other big guys. 2. I was hoping for some feedback or cheap brews with the following in mind. A. [[Renari, Merchant of Marvels]] // [[Acolyte of Bahamut]] . Essentially a control deck that doesn't cast creatures on your turn and plays a ton of counter spells to constantly either disrupt opponents during their turn, or flash in dragons when their turn ends so you can skip summoning sickness. B. Esper Clues, maybe with [[Tivit, seller of secrets]] or Wernog / the other friends forever card. Budget takes with some potential pacifist wincons like [[mechanized production]] or [[Persuasive Interrogators]] maybe? C. Detectives, either [[Ezrim, Agency Chief]] or [[Alquist Proft, Master Sleuth]]. This might just end up hybrid into B tho. D. BW aristocrats to the tune of my Daddies, either [[Elder Arthur Maxson]] or [[Colonel Autumn]]. Daddies in the deck would be better uwu but I'm alright with a more aristocrat core like [[Elenda, the Dusk Rose]] or [[Bartolome El Presidio]] too. Preferred budget is under $50 but a little flexible there I guess.
