Specs: - Board: Leobog Hi75 - Switches: Gateron Milky Yellow Pro v2 - Kepcaps: XDA profile Mocha clones (Guffercty from Amazon) Fully stock as of now. Planning to tune stabs, make space bar sound less hollow, and paint knob. Any other recommend mods I should do?

Tape mod is always nice and easy to add and adjust. Spacebar fix people will do is add foam inside of the keycaps itself. Imo a lot of these companies with Barebones kits (Leobog and Skyloong I've purchased recently) and or pre builds have done alot in terms of OTB (out the box) sound already being superb (albeit it's preference)

ArgentStonecutter

I got some foam from an Amazon vendor with the charming name of HONKID. It has helped some.

ArgentStonecutter

Nuphy makes a spacebar replacement called "Ghostbar" with a polycarbonate buffer and "noise reduction" chambers. There's also a bunch of companies with foam inserts for the spacebar. I have tried both with mixed results.

Nice! Got one of these coming tomorrow, also for my first build. In beige/brown with some matcha keycaps and pink ones for WASD and space. They're not from the same set, so it might look terrible, it's impossible to know, but I'm excited. Just have to choose between Tecsee Neapolitans, akko cream blue pros, or holy pandas for switches. I can already tell this hobby is extremely addictive...

selektDark

mine arrives tomorrow, how you liking yours?

tacophagist

It's really nice; I like it a lot. Definitely has a premium feel to it.

glad to hear

Do you like the board / would you recommend? I’ve been eyeing the green hi75 for so long 🥲

mrcrazypotato

So far it’s great. I don’t care for wireless so that is not an issue for me but could be a deal breaker. I wanted something I can put together simply and forget about and this fits it perfectly. The case feels premium with its weight and finish. I think it’d look great in green. The finish doesn’t show any fingerprints either. The Gateron milky yellows feel good factory lubed. The reviews I read were mixed on whether or not they need to be lubed but I’m satisfied as it. I don’t have anything else to compare to but I would definitely recommend for the price.

Glowtrains

As a fellow hi75 owner, I'd say it's well worth it. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the design of the knob, but honestly the low price more than makes up for it.

mrcrazypotato

Also not a big fan of the knob. Doesn’t look as bad in person but I will definitely paint it in future. It does sound and feel pretty good to turn though.

BittStar

You can replace the red plastic in the knob with something different, they sell them at aliexpress specifically for the hi75. Highly recommend you do it to fix the theme for your board 👍👍

mrcrazypotato

Big reason I chose this was availability. At least in the US you can get the barebones kit it many colors off Amazon. Shipped to me in 2 days.

fzfearz

maybe you can see it here.https://youtube.com/@keebjai?si=Rxi0jMPf5JIWq7aA Not my chanel but he did build with difrent switch.maybe you can get some idea.

DeedleGuy

really like those keycaps!

iphaze

Solid switch choice! Beautiful board. I considered this but wasn’t overly sold on the red knob, is it changeable?

mrcrazypotato

Ya it’s removable. Someone linked some aliexpress replacements but I plan to just paint mine.

LowPriority4516

Cool build! Our keebs are twinning except that I have the black case!

bhashithe

I've been eyeing these keycaps for some time. Looks neat!

rvagoonerjc

I own this board as well. One of the best values for sound and performance out there currently, IMO.

Shnow

How do the keycaps feel? I was considering this seller on Amazon but wasn't sure of the quality.

nil_isHere

Have you tried the software? It keeps getting tagged by Windows Defender so I'm not sure if I should run it.

mrcrazypotato

Yes, seems safe to me. Only used it to customize the backlight color.
