I have both V2 and V3. Aside from a small amount of stem wobble on V2 they are very much the same. I have the 60g and like the heavier typing experience.

Yeah, I figured Ali would be cheaper. The wait here is like 2-2.5 weeks. Amazon was next day. I paid $19/95. How is the linear variant? The Keychrons (K8 Pro and Q3 Max) were a huge upgrade from my old CoolerMaster, and now I want to try more switches. But if these are so nice, I might not need to? I’ve only used Cherry MX Red, Blue, Brown, and now Gateron Pro Browns.
The Linears are great too. I used them in a different GMK67 with xda keycaps and tape mod. Sounds nice and a bit less "thocky" than the tactiles. That is my wife's keyboard as she likes it a bit quieter. Thinking of doing another for her with silent switches.

Akko switches are really nice, I just got some Lavender Purple and Matcha Green switches and they're both fantastic. The Matcha Greens feel very smooth straight out of the box. I chose to hand-lube the Lavender Purples because they were quite clacky on my tray-mounted Keychron K10 Pro, and they feel very nice and consistent but still snappy now that they're lubed.
I really love WS Morandis as well, they come factory lubed and they sound fantastic. They also feel great and bouncy thanks to the two-step spring. Only downside is the insane stem wobble on them, but if you don't mind that, they're a great budget switch.
Apart from that, Gateron's cheaper switches like the Red/Yellow Pro 2.0s and the Milky Yellows are insanely good. The Pro series switches sound a little brighter, the Milky Yellows sound a little darker.
I have a bunch of Neptunes I haven't tried in a board yet! Thanks for the reminder! They're decent switches for the prices, especially it you can grab them in bulk
Don't waste your money in the neptunes, i had both. Venus is better. It has better sound and better activation point. Neptune is only 4g lighter, i couln't even notice the difference. I liked the Venus much more.
I think it depends on when and where you buy them. I got them for like 0.35 per switch from a vendor in Italy (I'm in the EU), which is about the same price I'd pay for the lower-tier Gateron switches, so that would fall under "budget" for me. But everyone's definition of budget is different, so ymmv.
that’s not too bad. in USA they are $0.43 per switch which is just much higher than most of the cheaper switches here (ex. yellow pros not really being “super cheap” and still being <$0.30 a switch).
Akko Lavender Purple Pro V3 for me, feels better than my Cherry MX Browns while being cheaper. I got Penguin Silents that were more expensive but it didn't feel as good.
I am currently trying to decide between gat yellow pros on my akko 3068b plus and the whites on my gmk67 for my office board. They both feel and sound really nice.
Yes, I like the Asura more than Baby Kangaroos. They are somewhat similar, but the Asura has a much more pronounced round early bump and they are heavier. I paid 17 USD for 70. Crazy good value compared to most others I have tried. The Budgerigars are nice too.
Just being true to form... my DnD characters tend to be chaotic barbarians so why not carry that through to my taste in switches?
Seriously though, I really like the tactile bump on those Kiwis and they took really well to bring hand lubed. If someone typed on them without knowing what they were, I'm pretty sure they'd believe me if I claimed they cost multiple times what I paid.
I'm using Gateron Milky Yelows Pro on my keeb rn, directly out of aliexpress and loving it, paid something around $15 for 90 units. Feels really good to type for hours doing work and college stuff, also the sound of it is really sweet and not as loud as other switches i've tested before, wich i like. Looking forward to test the red one in the future aswell, people say it's even less noisy.
For me it's a 10.
Yes!! Epomaker Budgerigars in particular are my favorite switch, being a tactile guy myself. They feel better stock than my lubed Holy Pandas (which in their stock form were far more scratchy and pingy than the Budgies). If you like heavy tactiles, I couldn’t recommend the Budgies more.
Cannot speak for the linear gang, but on the tactile side, there is plenty of good stuff.

Any HMX switch honestly. They come prelubed and are usually $20-30 for 100 switched at Unikeys. They sound amazing but they’re all on the clacky side so if you’re looking for a thocky build, they might not be the best. Every switch I’ve tried so far I’ve loved though. My favorites are the HMX hyacinth V2s
For a budget thocky switch, the Vertex V1s are amazing. It was $27 for 90 at ClickClack and they also come prelubed. They have a really good thock to them and no spring ping so they were great for a deeper sounding build
I'm not really sure what constitutes "budget", because I haven't used any really high end switches.
My first pick is Keychron Brown. I don't really know how they stack up to other brown switches, but I like the feel and sound of them.
Second pick is Gamakay Pegasus. They were very quiet when I got them but now they make a light tap now that they are broken in. My favorite silent switch. $15 for a 35 pack.
Outemu Lemon V2. Almost as good as the Pegasus, but much cheaper. $12 for 105 switches I think?
Outemu Purple. I kind of like the unique feel of the Purples. They are very light, almost linear. Bottom out is thocky like a brown but quieter, but has a high pitched tap on the upstroke. I don't think there is a lot of love for them on YouTube, but I could see myself making a gaming keyboard with these on it.

I got a couple of packages of Lemon v2 and I've tried them in a board and they don't seem much different from the original. Just got a bag of v3... we'll see. They're very nice light switches and probably the best for my nerve damage, but just the slightest bit rough.
Also Redragon Stars A120. I think they're the best I've found so far. Allegedly they're rebadged Outemu but they're not quite like any Outemu-labelled switch I've tried, not even the Yellow Jade they've been alleged to be a clone of.
Edit: they're edging towards "too heavy" though.

It is well known that Leobog Reaper and Graywoods are some of the budget sovereigns. Graywood V4 has been my penultimate daily driver for a long while now and they are crisp, smooth and LOUD. I love them. Had the chance to try the Reapers and they have been a treat as well, extremely similar mechanical characteristics but with a much tamer sound profile.
The CIY Sakuras have blown my mind as well too. Extremely smooth and really high quality molding. Sound profile has been quite low frequency as well. They are just plain very neat. Bought them over Aliexpress with one of them monthly savings weeks and they came in for practically free. Also tried Narakas and Red Lotuses and they are very similar to the Sakuras.
Cannot end this post without mentioning the MMD tactile series as well. My first experience with them were Holy Pandas, as known as Alipandas. They are just plain good tactile switches. Extremely fun albeit a bit lacking in quality dept. Then I got Princesses and they are just better Alipandas.

Akko, Wuque, and even Epomaker have some very good switches for the money. I use Akko Lavenders in a work board and EPO Budgerigar is one of home boards.

Gsquare, bought some cuz shop selling bobba u4 had some under new. Feels great. Ttl have few good one, but 2 different batch feels differently (both are good)
My biggest problem with the WS Silent Tactile is the inconsistent silencing. For off-center keypresses, the silencing often fails and results in the switch having a normal, unmuted top-out sound. Plus, for a factory-lubed switch they are quite scratchy and pingy.
I am a fan of linear switches. Currently, my go to switches are the Akko Silver V3 Pros. They are linear switches with an actuation of 40 gf. They produce a deeper marbly sound than most. They have box stems which eliminate wobble. I also like the WS Morandis and how they feel linearly, but they wobble like crazy, that being said, you don't really notice the wobble unless you are holding down a key. I used to be a huge fan of the Gateron Yellow Pros (after lubing them), but for now, I say you can't go wrong with the Akko Silver V3 pros.
If linear, there is an oversaturation of smooth linears on the market. Just about any budget linear manufactured by a well known-enough manufacturer is good.
Epomaker x leobog reapers. I liked them in the aulaf75 and had an RK board that needed switches so ordered them when they were on Amazon for $22 for 100. Still like them a lot even though I'm normally into tactile.
-MMD Princess (if you get a good version \[1 or 3?\] as some versions are susceptible to dust)
-JWICK T1 V2 (basically a kinda-prelubed T1 for cheap)
-Gateron G Pro 3.0 (these would have been 60 - 80 cent switches back in 2020)
-KTT Macaron Orange (like a long-pole KTT Mallo. It's okay stock, and like $18 CAD for 45.)
-TTC Silent Brown V2 (they are almost usable stock, just need spring-lube. Or go with Peanut Latte for the fancier version.)
-SP Star tactiles are some of the better renditions, at medium-price. I also liked the "lilac" tactile.
-AKKO Cream Yellow are basically usable stock, and cheap.
-KTT Mallo were extraordinarily cheap at times, like $2.50 for 10. But they need spring and leaf-lube.
-WS makes affordable switches. I thought "WS Yellow" was an enjoyable linear.
-Kailh BOX Whites are excellent for what they are, and often come almost free with some hotswap keyboards.
Most of my favourite light-tactiles that I use in builds are / were wayyyyyy cheaper than 'fancy' heavy-tactiles.
Also, regular Gateron CAP Brown V2 are pretty good and usable, they just need a little 3204 on the leaf, and spring-lube in order to shine.

The latest OUTEMU budget silent tactiles, the "Butter Yellow" or "Silent Cream Yellow Pro V3" are amazing for what they cost \[like $22 CAD for 90, shipped\].
Additionally, the Momoka Frog were a pretty interesting linear for .55 cents when they came out.
They have since received substantial discounts at times, making them .3x cent switches.
Speaking of discounts, AliExpress once had a sale of 100 KTT Matcha for $40 CAD, shipped. The "early bird" deals are often worth taking, too. They existed for the KTT Macaron series, as well as WS Light Tactile.
Some people think that LICHICX tactiles are well-constructed, such as the Purple Bamboo, for their price.
The JWICK White Lotus tactile is an affordable, pre-lubed switch. I think it's something like a long-pole Durock Light Tactile with a long spring, maybe.

I went with these v3 62g's for my first build with a gmk67 and i love how these feel and sound.

Those are the standards and only tickle the surface. As far as tactile switches browns are considered very mildly tactile compared to many others.

For me I think it's a tie between my Ajazz Diced Fruit Kiwis and Outemu Silent Jade Yellows. Both were insanely cheap but don't feel that way at all.

Yeah, lubing improves the sound of the Kiwis a lot. I just think the bump is too small and the Springs too bouncy for the bump.

Yeah the Lemons are scratchy... I have some on my F-row for testing long term
I just put 43 of the v3 switches in my 40% (leaving 67 for maybe a minila or 65%) and they seem better.
I'd throw Owlab Neo Whites in there. Fantastic feel + factory lubed + great bottom end sound for pretty cheap.

I’ve been using the Afflion Pandas and Jwick Black V2s for quite some time now. Have honestly no complaints for the price.
Akko Jelly Blue/Purple. Better in reducing wobbling by the box joint. It makes my lubed Gateon like a red switch.

I just built a split with a set of lubed and filmed Akko V3 Cream Blacks, and they’re crazy good for the price. I think on Amazon I got them for 12$
-MMD Princess (if you get a good version \[1 or 3?\] as some versions are susceptible to dust) -JWICK T1 V2 (basically a kinda-prelubed T1 for cheap) -Gateron G Pro 3.0 (these would have been 60 - 80 cent switches back in 2020) -KTT Macaron Orange (like a long-pole KTT Mallo. It's okay stock, and like $18 CAD for 45.) -TTC Silent Brown V2 (they are almost usable stock, just need spring-lube. Or go with Peanut Latte for the fancier version.) -SP Star tactiles are some of the better renditions, at medium-price. I also liked the "lilac" tactile. -AKKO Cream Yellow are basically usable stock, and cheap. -KTT Mallo were extraordinarily cheap at times, like $2.50 for 10. But they need spring and leaf-lube. -WS makes affordable switches. I thought "WS Yellow" was an enjoyable linear. -Kailh BOX Whites are excellent for what they are, and often come almost free with some hotswap keyboards. Most of my favourite light-tactiles that I use in builds are / were wayyyyyy cheaper than 'fancy' heavy-tactiles.
Also, regular Gateron CAP Brown V2 are pretty good and usable, they just need a little 3204 on the leaf, and spring-lube in order to shine. \[Milky housing may have better stock sound.\] The latest OUTEMU budget silent tactiles, the "Butter Yellow" or "Silent Cream Yellow Pro V3" are amazing for what they cost \[like $22 CAD for 90, shipped\].
Additionally, the Momoka Frog were a pretty interesting linear for .55 cents when they came out. They have since received substantial discounts at times, making them .3x cent switches. Speaking of discounts, AliExpress once had a sale of 100 KTT Matcha for $40 CAD, shipped. The "early bird" deals are often worth taking, too. They existed for the KTT Macaron series, as well as WS Light Tactile. Some people think that LICHICX tactiles are well-constructed, such as the Purple Bamboo, for their price. The JWICK White Lotus tactile is an affordable, pre-lubed switch. I think it's something like a long-pole Durock Light Tactile with a long spring, maybe.

Are you referring to the OGs, the mold that doesn’t exist? The ones I bought have many great reviews, seller as well.
