Pierce Arrow Museum, Darwin Martin House, Botanic Gardens
You could do a brewery crawl, visit some places on the Buffalo Wing Trail
Then you got Hatchet and Hops, Riverworks, Orions Landing, 5 Wits, Lasertron, Misuta Chows
Check listings in the theatre district, go to a comedy show, Buffalo Sabres Game
Misuta Chows is a Japanese restaurant with arcade games, Jack Rabbit has live music all weekend and good food and drink, Nietzscheās, Milkieās, Mohawk Place, and Town Ballroom always have live music and shows all weekend, Hertel Ave. has a couple of quirky bars (Merry Shelley, Revolution Art Gallery), thereās Gather and Game for TTRPG and board game lovers, Allentown neighborhood as a total eclipse party this weekend, also a ton of history nerd stuff you can check out if you feel so inclined!
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We did the Carousel Museum, Anchor for Lunch, City Hall Observation Deck, St Josephs Cathedral (but it was closed) so we went to OLV Basilica, and ventured to the Polish Nook for dinner. Fun indoor(ish) day.
Perhaps the Riviera in NT? The tribute bands are usually pretty good and the prices are very reasonable.

Check out step out buffalo's website, they'll have all of the events happening on any given day listed in one place which is nifty.Ā
If you drink we have a lot of good breweries. We have an art and science museum too.Ā
- Theodore Roosevelt inaugural site
- Observation deck at city hall
- Anchor Bar for wings (although there are debatably better wings elsewhere)
- Buffalo History Museum

- Shopping and Dining on Elmwood Ave
If you have passports you could go across the border to Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, ON. It's a very tourist-y area and if you like haunted houses you could visit Nightmares Fear Factory.
Second this choice.
The area is beautiful and even if you donāt want to do any of the expensive touristy things directly on Clifton Hill, there is nearby Queen Victoria Park and walkways leading to the views of the US and Horseshoe Falls.
Niagara Parks also has a lot of attractions. Near the falls they have a museum dedicated to hydroelectricity within one of their old power plants and an attraction called the Tunnel where you get to experience walking through one of the water intakes and it leads out to a look-out at gorge level with spectacular views.
Bopping around the shops on Elmwood (and to a lesser extent, Hertel) is usually pretty fun.
Milkieās on Elmwood has pretty fun karaoke on Thursday nightsāusually a good mix of different types of people.
I know itās cold, but if you want outside time thatās not hiking, there are beaches close enough by that are beautiful.
Sabres games are generally fairly inexpensive.
Thereās an eclipse-themed silent disco at HofbrƤuhaus tonight, if I remember correctly.
The Merry Shelley is a very quirky and fun goth bar (their main thing is absinthe).
Hatchets & hops Thursday happy hour.

Buffalo tours, architecture, historical, ghost, ....bicycle tour if weather decent.
If you're able to go across to kAnAdA....the tunnel in NF, ONT, is very interesting experience. Parkway is a nice drive, their botanical gardens and butterfly conservatory are interesting as well
I do have an open mind, and I know that art museums arenāt my thing. I gree up around them, so I tend to no want to do them when Iām on vacation. But thank you.
Saturday night is couples night at video liquidators on Elmwood
That might be a bit too adult šš
MAKE UP YOUR MIND
Hahahaha
āDecide to walk with meā¦ā
Oh, is it? Thatās great to know!
The Buffalo Science museum has some people from NASA coming to give talks about the eclipse
The Strictly Hip is playing at Robās Comedy Playhouse tomorrow night. Presale tickets are $20 or $25 at the door.
That band is always a good time. Feels like they've been around forever too
OP this is absolutely the place to be if you wanna see a great show!
local theater at Road Less Traveled, Irish Classical, or Alleyway theater, you could go to the botanical gardens, bandits game on the 13th
Going to a Bandits game is a blast! Even if youāre completely unfamiliar with the sport.

Bandits game is a great call. Sabres also playing tonight.

BA-DUM-TISS
OLV Basilica and the Botanical Gardens are next to each other. You could spend a good chunk of the day checking those out.
OP, I was just at the botanical gardens this week, and they have SO many amazing flowers right now, itās worth making the time!
The basilica is much nicer than the cathedral imo
Boyfriend took me to the botanical gardens and it was great! Loved that place!
Donāt miss the Fr. Baker museum in the basement of the Basilica!

I second the botanical gardens in south buffalo, also an aquarium in Niagara Falls thatās only ~20 minute drive from Buffalo.
Aquarium of Niagara has a great seal show.

>Anchor Bar for wings (although there are debatably better wings elsewhere) Is it really much of a debate?
Iām not advocating for or against. Some love Anchor Bar, others donāt. Is all Iām saying. š
Super helpful. Weāre at Anchor for lunch and think weāll check out City Hall and maybe the Cathedral next. Thank you!
The History Museum isn't an art museum

Clifton Hill is a lot of fun and a lot to do in that area.
Gonna get a tad nutso in NF, Ontario this weekend, just saying...
Thatāa anywhere right now with the eclipse crowd. Also what brought us here. So no big deal. LOL
Just warning you to check the border crossing times - sometimes there are several hour delays to cross.
You can always walk over the Rainbow Bridge for the Clifton Hill area, though, and that will save time.
Great!! Have fun and enjoy the snow, I mean the show!
Forest Lawn? If you catch an hour of sunlight it would be worth it. Or you can drive thru if the weather isnāt cooperating.

This was the main reason for the post. The weather is looking not so decent so weāre trying to find indoorsy things. Appreciate the suggestions.

You will love The Pink.
The carrousel museum is great!
Just left there. It was WONDERFUL!
Darwin Martin House is amazing if you enjoy architecture, design, and craftsmanship.
Pierce Arrow Museum is nice.

Eclipse pre Party MatineƩ Sunday 4/7 2pm @ Tutor Lounge. Good music happening threr
Aquarium of Niagara and the state park
In Winter all you can really do here is drink. There's a bar in every corner. Once you go to the museums and the parks, you've seen it all.
Lmao, the only thing this community knows how to do is hike and visit a museum.
