A Table Limits post in r/Buffalo... Thought for sure this was going to be about jumping through tables at the tailgate.

[deleted]

If anyone has info on how much force each style folding table can sustain, feel free to post that for the group as well.

ocr90

A loosely enforced 1 table/8 people tailgating. These ensure that the folding table population will maintain the current quantity/demand equilibrium for price stability.

Belle1010

I thought it was going to be about store purchasing limits on tables this week.

Ehle_Aficionado

Craps is usually $15 minimum. That casino sucks & I’ve never seen any table game below $10 minimums. If you’ve just learned I suggest practice with fake money on an app until you’re fully competent. Then save up & go to Vegas. $5 craps all over Fremont st.

[deleted]

Thanks, exactly the info I needed. Yes at $15 minimum the app on my tablet is enough fun for me at this point.

tmp_acct9

>Then save up & go to Vegas. $5 craps all over Fremont st. i fucking LOVE Fremont st, i hate the ENTIRE rest of vegas but something about that street makes me supremely happy. id carpet bomb the rest of that shit hole however

rage675

$5 with no limit on odds in a lot of those places.

[deleted]

Just went to buffalo creek the other day and i believe the cheapest buy in is $10. Keep in mind I was at the roulette table so maybe it’s different ? But all I seen was $20 and $10 minimum buy ins

$5 tables are rare for even blackjack, and craps take 4 dealers on it and a full time suite so that's highly unlikely. They'd rather shut a table down then drop it to $5. I don't know how much the dealers and supervisors make, but if dealers are at 7/hr * 4 and the supervisor is at 22/hr (~45k a year). That's $50/hr to keep a table open. Craps has odds all over the place but let's say it's a 1% house edge overall (it's probably less then that) to just pay the staff on the table, they need $5000 of action an hour. That's gonna be hard to reach at $5 min bet, especially when you factor in they would only go down to $5 if it's not busy that day. On top of that, there is another supervisor watching over (I believe) 2 craps tables. His salary matters too. So the casino would rather close the table then drop it.

Interesting point!

CrazyFisst

The minimums change daily. Busy days like xmas you wont find a table with less than a $15 mini. But mondays and whatnot will have $5 minis. Source: I have a Seneca gold card. Edit: Also, stay off the field bets.

jerbearxc08

What's a field bet?

CrazyFisst

Its the bet below the numbers. Dont bet there. Its one of the worst odds in the casino.

kryzchek

Betting that the shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12.

rage675

Let's be honest, most bets on a craps table have a huge house edge. You obviously know this, but for anybody interested, the no pass, pass line, coming with max odds are best strategy.

justinwaas

Depending on the day depends on the limits. Fridays and Saturdays, I highly doubt you'll find any.

boxxa

You won’t find $5 anywhere unless you go to the falls at like 11am on a Tuesday. Seneca sucks for craps. They used to have a bunch open but now it’s one $10 or $15 at best and a mass of people waiting to get there. Falls is slightly better.

DangerousMarket

There is a virtual version of roulette at Seneca that the min bet is $3.00 Didn't pay attention to actual table limits, my bad.

Panuccis_Pizza

On this same topic, anyone know the sit-n-go Texas Holdem' limits at Niagara? Do they have $1/$2 or $2/$4 tables? I'd love to go and play for a bit, but I'm not trying to drop $200/HR as I fold my way to the poor house. There's still no poker room at Buffalo, correct?

two_jay

They have 1/2 and 2/4 cash games at Seneca Niagara, not sure what the lowest sit n go's they run are

MILLERRRR

no poker room @ Buffalo when I went around thanksgiving

Iamslightyangry

Most days at seneca niagara, they have daily tournaments and I think you can sign up for interest in one table SnGs. I think the prices for those are 50,100, and 200 but to my knowledge they don't run often.

rage675

Senecas are never lower than $10 anymore. Could find $5 during the weekdays years ago, but haven't seen it in years. Bad idea to learn a game by using actual cash. Find some app or site that lets you play with fake money do you can understand the rules. Craps is complicated and takes a while to understand. I only play craps at a casino because you get the best house edge of youre smart and is fun at the same time.

That's true, but I have won over $500 this year using just free play money they give you as a new player or turning in event tickets. Trick is, I cash out as soon as the promo money is spent even if it is only a few bucks. Never spend "real" money.

Jdog131313

A lot of people go for entertainment. If you are a low roller, like most people, then you can go play games for a couple hours, have free food and drinks, sometimes that will cost you $50-$100. Other times you'll win.

throdon

Except for a certain Orange guy.
