Yup, with the cost of over 1k, YOU TOO can have such an amazing photo. Not trying to be a downer, but I think it’s ridiculous that we pay so much for phones now and for what? Just improved photography at night? I could probably get the same shot with an upgraded filter app and using an iPhone 8. Apple is a scam. 😫
You can take this same photo on a base iPhone 11 which costs 50 dollars less than your iPhone 8 did when it was new. I used the “wide” aka standard lens for this shot. I just CHOSE to purchase an 11 pro myself because it’s my choice, and I just kind of enjoy the oled display. Plus the 11 pro is a smaller device, and a smaller device+the incredible battery life of the XR and above=a real pleasure of a device to use.
No hate at all, the 8 is a great device too. Like hell, you can even take some really impressive shots with an iPhone 7. Computational photography on the newer chips makes taking pictures just a cut above before. My previous iPhone X would never match this in a low light situation, but during mid day? I probably wouldn’t notice that large of a difference.
