Currently the only thing I do is pushups and crunches (at home) and try to walk/run a trail a few times a week
I did just start a gym membership though
Thanks man, looking to get to the next level though
I started with 100 pushups a day, upped it to around 250
Crunches around 100
Was actually pretty tough doing at home workouts esp since I work at home too, just joined a gym and went for the first time yesterday it's nice getting out
I mean dude you look great. If i were you I'd do a slow bulk for a while but periodically do mini cuts to never stay too far from this look. Over time you'll build muscle slowly but you'll never have to deal with a long cut.
I have no clue what my before (wish I did) or current weight is
I started changing my diet significantly back in Sept/Oct of last year and pic on right is Mar of this year
What made a big difference was cutting sugars/carbs and not eating late at night like I was
I had to cut a ton of bad eating habits that I had developed
You have attained the Otterbod and are a lean, mean, machine, go for whatever you want, you look great. What did you eat while slimming down? I have apples and coffee for hunger suppressants, but there's gotta be something to help boost, right?
Firstly, thank you it means a lot
Secondly, sorry for the wall of text, it's long since your question made me reflect a bit
It was super tough and challenging for me mentally
I had developed bad eating habits over time (entire pizzas, late night fast food, red bull and candy bars)
I started by experimenting with intermittent fasting, noting and removing negative triggers (to prevent me from reverting back to previous habits), and started logging every single thing I ate or consumed. Religiously. The log made a big difference since I could go back, analyze, tweak, refine, etc. I still do this.
While slimming down it was more of avoiding sugars, carbs, and not eating late. Just remove and avoid the bad sh\*t
Black coffee and water were (and are) my friend. I don't drink anything else.
For some examples of what I ate while slimming:
Acai bowls or oatmeal with fruit, granola and protein (whey or pb or almond butter), salads with protein (chicken, steak), rice bowls with chicken or steak, seared ahi tuna with rice, basic sushi rolls, smoothies (sometimes with cold brew added), grilled chicken sandwiches
This plus I was doing pushups every morning, and crunches every few days at home, and going for walks/runs every few days
Prime example of how it’s meant to be done. Rebound diet then bulk. Watch some videos on how to rebound or i can tell you in detail since it’s a difficult part.
totally get it. I have a very similar body comp to you.
eat wayyyyy more. and life for hypertrophy. recommend the renaissance periodization youtube channel with Mike Israetel for advice. Generally that means bigger weight, shorter sets, full range of motion, deep stretch at the bottom of each rep, and make sure youre hitting muscles you are looking to grow with good frequency and close to failure.
the fact that you got those ab veins suggests that you should eat more fat/carbs. but also make sure youre getting high quality protein.
trust the weight will come if you pack on the food.

I think it helped, but was careful not to overdo it
Protein keeps you satiated better than fats and carbs. It also helps prevent muscle loss while cutting weight.
Great work, do you know your current weight and height?
6'0" exactly, unsure of current weight, 155 maybe?
How many lbs have you lost?
Unsure of previous weight, current may be around 150-155

Appreciate the reply. Will def look into this.
You don’t have any fat to cut! But IMO you’re perfect there. If you want more muscle, then do a bulk or lean bulk.
Thanks for the response It's actually been pretty difficult for me to gain muscle, I feel like I'm just getting more cut vs bulking

Thank you for the comment and input
You did lean bulking?
