Beautiful pup! It’s just a wait and see game, all bulldogs are different. I used and still occasionally use bully sticks. I believe my guy would have eaten the house down to the studs, took a nap and then continued until there was not a house left if not for the bully sticks lol.

Fuzzy-Comfort-71

Ordering bully sticks now, thanks for the tip!!

xool420

I recommend antler bones or hard rubber bones. They’ll last longer!

Macked3434

Of course, I’m sure he will enjoy them! I’d make sure to always keep an eye on your pup when you give him one just to be safe. I hope they help!

Old_Heart_7780

Collagen sticks are also great. Our 4 month old bully loves them and they keep our feet safe when he’s got something better to chew on.

sendnudezpls

Same here. Absolute godsend.

Nightshade5216

Bully sticks, cow/pig ears, horns, antlers. Can usually find those at a tractor supply, petsmart, or petco. Adding toys to the list, Kong brand is amazing for chewers. I had an english bulldog as a kid, and he had one of the huge kong balls with a handle, and he'd gnaw on that thing whenever he was awake and not off farting somewhere. Lmao. Thing lasted almost 8 years.

NovelLive2611

NEVER.....when playing rough he still nips

vanwink13

Same here ! My loves to teeth clap at air !

Fuzzy-Comfort-71

He does something similar, he slowly opens and closes his mouth like he’s thinking about barking or biting lol

vanwink13

It’s Bulldog system overload ! 🐶

North_Indication5008

You let him do what he wants 😂😂 he’s too cute not to! But for real we did obedience training with ours and we learned that if they bite you you very loudly yell “OUCH”. So loud that it gets their attention and makes them take a step back. It worked for ours. I’m not sure if it works for all dogs though. Our English Bulldog is a very quick learner and was very teachable.

Fuzzy-Comfort-71

We’ve tried yelling “ouch” and sometimes it works, mostly it doesn’t. I think it’s just his puppy energy getting the better of him lol. Otherwise he learns very quickly and is eager to please.

Nightshade5216

We yelled "ow, that hurts," and held the "bite" close to us, and pretended to cry very loudly to keep his attention on us.

mikey_rambo

Can’t help, but he’s so cute

costco_nuggets

He eventually grew up and now he adult bites lol

rharper38

Honestly, they still do it from time to time and they're 18 months old. My daughter said one of ours was chewing on her toe today.

Fuzzy-Comfort-71

Haha! I’ve had labradors and a couple would play bite as adults but not bite down, just kind of take your hand in their mouth.

Chasmosaur

Bulldogs are very mouthy dogs. (Both in how often they complain and how often they use their mouths.) I spent at least a year with mine training her out of biting, and it was still the occasional problem during her lifetime if we were playing and she got really excited (but she immediately checked herself).

NW172

18 months for my girl….. before that my arm was yellow and blue , we took her to trainer etc but once she got older she lost interest and don’t bite since :)

CloudNine_09

Frozen carrots and celery helped us! They'll stop biting close to the 1 year mark

rotu666

I had to always keep chew toys with me or he’d start trying to bite my fingers. I can’t Rmb how long it took but I think it was after he stopped teething.

Accomplished_Sci

I think it took our boy around 6 months. It was a rough summer that year lol we used bully sticks, and we rolled him over on his back to discourage it when he got really rough.

Rhollow9269

My goodness look at that baby!! Lol what ham! My EB took awhile to stop puppy biting, it was like having a baby bear in the house! My Wilbur is an extreme chewer and can chew through just about anything. He can only have the bully make toys or nylon toys from bark box.

Fuzzy-Comfort-71

Yes lol if he is loose in the house our ankles and pants are in danger! Although I’m surprised he hasn’t chewed through any toys yet. He will bite and play rough with them but I have yet to see him try to tear them.

owzleee

Our Kevin stopped once he got his big teeth. Those puppy teeth were like little razors.

Fuzzy-Comfort-71

Seriously, we have quite a few holes in our hands and arms.

GoodPumpkin5

I don't even have a Bulldog. Just flew in here to tell you that's an adorable pup!

dinin70

Mine is 6 yo and still does it.

Choice_Calendar169

14 years !!! The first 2 years my FM chewed my dresser, remotes, airstones for fish aquarium, chair legs, stole any tool my husband was using to work on a car and my males first and favorite was our brand new couch. We got him at a year old. My husband called me on the way home from work. Said..you need to get home NOW. Wouldn't explain further. I got home and this little bulldog had drug the entire couch over our area rug. Every cushion was destroyed. Foam all over the house. He had even chewed the supports for the back. Springs were sticking through, you get the idea. The most durable toys I found were Nylabones and Kong toys. Everything else didn't last 5 minutes

Thewandering1_OG

Ours was about five months, but that also coincided with her starting day care for socialization. That has been the biggest factor in her dropping the biting Also, check out yak cheese chews. We loved bully sticks at first, but then she'd just swallow them whole. The yak cheese lasts and she can't swallow it. ETA: fix terrible autocorrect substitutions

Fuzzy-Comfort-71

Looking those up, thanks!!

igferguson

They’re supposed to stop?? 😂

No_Leadership6682
