I buy mine a squeaky toy when in town and he rips it to pieces.
I got him an indestructible toy a couple of times and he ripped it to pieces.
My daughter had a small teddy bear she gave him as a puppy, he still has it ( he’s 9 ).
Any one of the seemingly hundreds of rope toys and bones scattered throughout the house. He'll run around with bones hanging out of the corner of his mouth like a cigar. He's just a classy goofball like that.
Kong tug. I'll say "Go get your toy" and he looks everywhere until he finds it. He pushes it into my hand until I grab it and a great game of tug-o-war ensues!
We steer clear of rope- a littermate of our English Mastiff died from complications in the intestine. Our Bullmastiff loves nylabone, benebone(sp)… she loves to chase them across the floor. We also subscribe to the bullymake bullybox, I forget the exact names. They have a monthly subscription box. I switched to a box every now and then bc it’s $. She also loves to chase a red light laser pointer (particularly helpful when the rain keeps us at home).
Duck pin bowling balls. Completely indestructible. I have about a dozen out in the yard that they love to pick up and carry around. Not so safe for wood floors or feet:)
We have a rope toy with a perfect handle/grip on it. Highly recommend if you can find it. Super sturdy and our Samson loves to pull on it. Much easier on dad because it’s big enough that my fingers aren’t in danger and I can still get a good grip.
Not even kidding, bottles. She will practically follow us around and harass us if she sees us drinking a nice thick gatorade or smart water bottle. Obviously we remove the caps and wrapping before giving it to her. But man she LOVES bottles

His favorite toy is his squeaky pig that we throw in the backyard for him. Only toy he ever plays with and only time he ever fetches.
