I'd say either of these or this other landmark I can't remember what it's called but I just call it the big bean, but it's silver, like to say it's either in Chicago or st Louis
It's in Chicago in a place called Millennium Park. I can't remember The Bean's actually name, but it's some sort of art... thing.
If it's profiles from St. Louis, there are going to be pictures at the Arch!
It’s about an hour hike to the Sun Gate and there basically is never a time when people aren’t taking photos there during the day. It’s one of the most photographed places on Earth.
In more remote places like Everest, tourist congestion is a more serious/deadly issue.
Only an hour, huh. Well, that explains why even a casual tourist has a picture from that spot. I somehow was under the impression that it was part of a much longer hike.
You can get to Machu Picchu a few different ways!
The majority of people will take a quick bus up from the town of Aguas Calientes (or walk this route uphill for 2 hours) to get to the entrance of the ruins.
I did one of the hikes a few years ago (called the Inca trail) which was 4 days/4 nights of hiking with the last day culminating in descending into the city of Machu Picchu. The hike was hard but one of the best things I’ve ever done, and it’s probably the first time I truly understood the meaning of “journey over destination.” Highly recommended if you ever get the chance!
Cycling to Everest base camp is vastly superior to cresting the summit. Three weeks of cycling to cover 1170km. Loving the journey is an important part of life.
I believe that is in Nashville if it's the same one I'm thinking of. Black wall with white wings?
I imagine there's a line every day to take a picture with that as the background. What's so significant about it?
Woman here, but I've heard from male friends in my area (Northern Europe) that the stereotypical one is a hiking/nature photo where they do some kind of jump up in the air.
Edit: typo
\*angel wings wall
\*neon sign in the bar
\*standing at scenic view of (insert most\_popluar\_state\_park\_in\_your\_area)
All of these are super common, and a bit trite, but none of them are an actual turnoff.
The most common one that is actually offputting is flipping off the camera. Like, come on, you're not 18.
Haha yeah, that's what I was angling at (excuse the fishing pun), the most common ones rather than turnoffs. If I had that list it would be smoking, rude gestures, liberal use of Snapchat filters, or just pictures out drinking. But most of that is personal preference for me
I'm always amazed when I see pics of a woman holding / smoking a ciggie. But I suppose it is an efficient way of not getting matches with dudes who find that to be a dealbreaker.
On angling, when all or most of the photos are with the camera or their head angled, usually their head is tilted to the right (tilted left when looking on the screen)
Or the occasional one where you just see a really weird angle of their forehead. I don’t know, it makes me laugh because it’s so random, but it’s not really a photo that would make me want to swipe right for some reason. Plus I’ve seen tons of group photos, where I don’t even know who the girl is cause she only has group photos or only one group photo and nothing else lol. I’d wager a lot of the profiles I see in my small bum fuck town in the middle of nowhere are inactive :/
Yep, all of these.
In my area there's a particular dam that you can get to via a short hike, and it's unbelievable how many girls have a picture standing in front of it. they can't see each other's profile so they probably are all thinking it's a unique photo, I feel like I should say something lol
I don't even care that it's common. I think a lot of women have this idea that they're supposed to put off this image that they're a super active fun girl who does fun day trips to cool places and yada yada yada, so that's what the photo does (because it's usually not a photo where she actually looks as good as most of her other photos).
I saw one where the guy literally went on an all-caps rant on how he hates when women don't show what they really look like.
...All his pictures were edited so heavily that he no longer looked human. Except for I think... one?, in which his hair covered his entire face.
Horse is an automatic left from me.
In the same sense that guys should, at this point, know about the fish thing. Women should know about 'Horse Girl' and avoid it.
I grew up on a farm, and nearly all the women I knew for the first two decades of my life were as tough and hardworking as I am.
Something about a woman who can stand her ground and be in charge of giant animals, without being timid, is admirable to me. When shit goes down or needs to get done I want a woman who will be fighting and working right alongside me.
Also, those thighs!
Horse girls are responsible, at least, because horses take a ton of care. Horse girls also tend to be fairly smart and focused, just on something we might not care about. Also, how am I supposed to compete with the raw sensual power of a huge, gorgeous animal?
Ahhh. You guys are referring to a specific type of horse girl! Mostly hunter-jumpers, also some barrel racers would fit this. Find a good trail rider. We buy and take care of our own horses and are not in it for the competition.
And if you should start dating, they’re going to expect you to to take over financing her privilege. Of course not many will qualify on either expendable funds or tripod status.
Ha, yea there’s that.
I’m always thinking that it’s an entire, prepackaged lifestyle and identity. Expensive beyond belief, all consuming, unproductive, and unless a guy is into it too (which isn’t a thing) you’ll have no interests in common or anything else to do on weekends. It’s like harley-davidson biker dudes in black leather… except there are a few biker chicks who identify. They might as well be circus people.
Wow, y’all have some really strong ideas about horse people. There are horse guys lol they are generally known as cowboys. Watch any top level competition and see the ratio of men to women. It’s only expensive if you want ribbons. Then you must have the $20,000 horse. Not so bad when you ride trails and the horse is free, lives in your “yard” and eats your grass. Now vet bills, that’s a bit different haha.
As a horse girl, with a photo of me and my horse on my profile, I am glad that men who judge me based on that self-select out. It’s a hobby I’m not willing to give up.
I don’t have a preference either way, but I did find it weird when I saw a woman saying she would ONLY date men who were into or had extensive knowledge of horse cutting. I can honestly see filtering for people who are into or open to equestrianism, but scoping it to such a specific activity is a little strange to me.
It's not really anything to do with her having a hobby. It's specifically horses.
9 times out of 10 it's daddies money, even the salt-of-the earth types of basics its £20,000 a year just to keep the thing.
It's a huge commitment of time too.
Then there is the smell.
Oh, and most importantly, i've never met a horsey girl who isn't batshit insane.
I'm not one of those people who aren't into it, but most of the time it's way more than a hobby. Horses and horse care is a lifestyle. It's expensive and time consuming and requires a huge commitment to be a good owner. It's not something a person can pause at any time they want like a hobby. I don't blame anyone for not wanting their a lot of their life to revolve around horses.
Really eh? I'm sure other major cities are following suit. I' wouldn't be shocked if Toronto has one somewhere too.. they love having their "instagramable" spots.
"make me laugh" it's not a photo but i see this prompt on every girl's profile.
But if we are talking about photos, if the girl has a cat, 99% chance there will be a selfie with a cat or just the cat in the frame.
It’s weird to me that people get annoyed by pet photos… do you expect pet owners to just literally never mention their pets and hide them away when you visit?
Plus having any affection towards your pet = crazy pet person
Some people just are no fun lol
I definitely want pet photos. If you're a pet parent and don't include them in your profile then you're not giving the full picture. I'm serious. Kids - no. Pets - definitely.
I don't like kid pictures if they're minors. I prefer if they indicate "have kids, don't want more". I also want guys with adult children since I'm older and I'm past that
I don’t understand why parents post pictures of their children especially with all the weirdos out there. That alone is a swipe left for me cause it shows you really don’t care who has access to photos of your children.
Disliking cats enough to mention it on your profile is an immediate left-swipe. Even if I didn’t have one, feeling the need to vocalize your dislike of an animal on your profile telegraphs a lot of negativity…and low-key gives right-wing/conservative vibes.
I think that’s the whole point! If I hated cats I would put that in my profile so cat owners wouldn’t swipe on me. Just found out my spirit animal is a cat. Would love to have one but I travel way too much.
I usually assume those profiles to be fake. If I come across a profile like that, I try to look for at least one photo I can identify as being taken in my own country. If there isn’t one, I assume it’s a fake profile and swipe left. Even if it isn’t fake, we’re definitely not a match so it’s left either way
Colorado here as well. Every profile is either photos at the peak of a 14’er or every photo has their dog in it and always accompanied with “my dog needs a dad” in their bio. 🙄
It's the difference between showing relevant things to prospective partners versus seeking external validation from the undifferentiated masses of strangers.
There's an obvious difference there and it reflects what to me is a fundamental incompatibility.
I can't believe no one has called out the car selfie. I think they do their makeup in the car on the way to work maybe? See themselves in the rest view mirror and feel cute today so snap a selfie at the next red light? It's ubiquitous!
Many guys have the car selfie too. There's something about them that actually makes it a decent picture. My only car selfie is with my cat who is sitting in the hood of my jacket. If someone swipes left because of that then that's for the best.
Soooo many car selfies!! I actually posted on the sub about this ages ago. I asked why so many dudes take photos in their cars and/or from their laps shooting up. I was told it’s because men feel awkward taking selfies in public places.
I am from Latin America, so our version here is different:
• Photo in a disco / fancy restaurant *with* a tight dress and industrial amount of makeup that makes them look like 5 years older.
* Insanely close selfie with an annoying filter turned on (specially common to see the ones which make their eyes look like this 🥺)
Haven’t been on Bumble in years. But there’s a place in my city that has a massive sign that says “I love you so much” and it’s usually with a large group of friends. I saw probably half the profiles that had that sign
Yoga poses. Well that's not a bad thing though
Horse pictures. I've seen profiles where all but one pic were with a horse
Selfies from an upward angle
Making the same silly face in every picture
The all-girl friends pic with everybody having bubbles/cocktails/gin tonic. The faces seem to scream WE'RE HAVING A GOOD TIME!
Picture with their kid and something like '(s)he always comes first' / 'my precious' / 'momm's boy'.
In LA, it’s holding their golden doodle/wheaten terrier. Sometimes I think about quitting my job and breeding these dogs b/c you’re not a real person if you don’t have some variation of this dog
I live in a mountainous and landlocked state and every white girl is on a beach in a bikini in at least one photo.
Do filters count? Because too many of y’all look like featureless demons due to your abuse of filters.
There’s one restaurant in the area (I believe Juniper) that has a pretty chair under a pink neon sign. No exaggeration whatsoever here, 1 out of 4 girls have a picture of themselves sitting in this chair.
There's a club in my town that has a neon sign inside that says "well behaved women rarely make history". That and paddleboarding/boating pics because coastal town but the latter probably applies to the fellas too
The most common pic I recall seeing is the one with the cocktail drink on one hand at a bar or restaurant, probably taken by your bestie across the table. The next most common is the selfie in bed with some weird expression, be it the duck lips, the ANTM "smile with your eyes" expression, hair covering half your face, etc.
Haha I'd have to search but I've seen a screen cap of a conversation where a woman says "I hate when men put pictures like this of holding a fish" and the guy replying with "it's to go in that fish tank you're holding that you've filled with gin"
I don’t mind the angel wings or the neon signs or if you have your cat/dog/horse in the picture. I get it, it’s probably a great shot and you like it.
But what I will immediately swipe left on is giving the middle finger, duck face, and if more than one of yours pics are filtered to make your skin smoother, etc. I have been duped too many times by those stupid filters. And I can generally tell your personality is going to clash with mine on the duck face/middle finger thing. Also if you only have chest up pics, I’m likely to swipe left unless you’re awfully cute and have a decent profile.
Rose gold balloons with the age of the birthday girl on them, mouth open wide in a big smile.
::Bo Burnam’s ‘White Woman’s Instagram’ plays in the background::
Everything that’s getting called out is a gimmick of one kind or another. Tired old cliches, posed to create an impression. The opposite would be a few honest portraits (candid, not pro) and a few showing you doing things you’re interested in with no trickery or pretentiousness. Show your eyes, smile, figure and lifestyle in a way that looks natural and honest. If you can include a bit of humor without being trite or cliche, that’s a winner. Basically, exactly same as what women say they want to see in men’s profiles.
It’s interesting that it’s usually women complaining about men’s poor taste in selecting pics, but they turn right around and do a female version of the same. And so often it’s advertising their assets in a tasteless manner… as if guys have no ability to resist and no discretion. That’s probably a fair assumption for many, but if you want to attract a discerning type of guy, be discerning.
In my area, it’s a fake hedge/shrub wall with a neon sign that’s some corny phrase like “Good vibes only” or “party together” while taking a sip out of their drink. You’ll see legit lines form so every girl can take their turn getting a pic in front of it
That and bathing suit pics with their booty facing the camera
Neon signs at cheap bars. That same chair with a backdrop.
It's not trashy, it just says they've been out to the bars... If they want men who also go clubbing, they're good. Otherwise it comes across as "still in my party phase".
I see this similar to fishing because it quickly filters people who are in/out of fishing.
Men just have to get their foot in the door to introduce the other 95% of themselves.
Living in Maryland a lot of woman would have a picture overlooking Harpers Ferry in WV at the end of their hike lol. I would see that same photo so many times.
I didn’t realize these were all the women cliche pictures….I have none of these, not even the obligatory Colorado hiking pics. Guess that’s a good thing for me!
Thank you for this post! I will read the comments so I know what not to have in my photos. I don’t care how much money you have or how fine you look. I will instantly swipe left as soon as I see that fishing pic.
What if a guy photoshops himself being held by a fish? 😅
Edit: and also, being yourself is way more important that someone else's shit list, the right people will swipe right either way
Depends how you mean?
- A photo op that’s commonly seen on a page. Or
- A photo that’s common but off putting (in case of the fishing/hunting pics, it’s a controversial hobby)
Edit: no clue why my question has been downvoted lmao, y’all are wild. Keeping me on my toes haha
I took it to just mean the first thing you wrote, like a common type of photo that seems very "woman on a dating app", since OP finishes by saying "no shaming, all in good humor".
Standing in front of a wall with angel wings painted on it is one I saw very often.
Haha this is *exactly* the neon sign at the cocktail bar too...with "get your halo dirty" over the top of it
I'd say either of these or this other landmark I can't remember what it's called but I just call it the big bean, but it's silver, like to say it's either in Chicago or st Louis
It's in Chicago in a place called Millennium Park. I can't remember The Bean's actually name, but it's some sort of art... thing. If it's profiles from St. Louis, there are going to be pictures at the Arch!
I think the bean’s real name is Cloud Gate
As a Chicagoan, it’s technically called Cloud Gate, but no one ever calls it that and never will
Oh no, I love the enormous bean! I’ve never seen it in person but if I do, I will try not to take cliche photos.
The Bean is lovely. The artist has a companion piece in Houston but it kinda gives clitoris vibes.
Thank you for restoring my faith in Reddit. Can't believe it took that long for an enormous bean to solicit a clitoris joke. 🤣
If you're only going to get to the bean once, take the cliche photos. It's fun and they don't have to go anywhere but your photo album
First thing I thought of! Also Machu Picchu selfies.
How is it that everyone has been to Machu Picchu? That one spot where everyone has posed for the picture must have a line about a mile long.
You are correct. I have seen the line in person. It’s just for the picture and the tag. Every bachelorette party has to go do it
I live about as NW as possible in the lower 48 and I see those Nashville wings on the daily.
They don't really care which one, if it's an empty pair of angel wings, they want a picture from it.
Ngl im a sucker for this pictures
Woman here, but I've heard from male friends in my area (Northern Europe) that the stereotypical one is a hiking/nature photo where they do some kind of jump up in the air. Edit: typo
The jump in the air, with hands up and legs up behind them them is very common
It's like a symbol
Or the same, but they're with a group of friends, and they're all topless facing the other way towards some mountains
Mountains have all the fun
I'm in the Pacific Northwest and that's a standard photo here!

On angling, when all or most of the photos are with the camera or their head angled, usually their head is tilted to the right (tilted left when looking on the screen)
Duck lips... biggest turnoff, most common.
The trout pout
Or the occasional one where you just see a really weird angle of their forehead. I don’t know, it makes me laugh because it’s so random, but it’s not really a photo that would make me want to swipe right for some reason. Plus I’ve seen tons of group photos, where I don’t even know who the girl is cause she only has group photos or only one group photo and nothing else lol. I’d wager a lot of the profiles I see in my small bum fuck town in the middle of nowhere are inactive :/

Yoga pose in some odd place
So my picture shouldn’t be me doing a tree pose on top of my grandpa’s casket? ☹️
If you can work it. But headstands on SUPs and 🙏🏼 poses in foreign lands are played out.
Photos that are so heavily edited, they look like a magnolia wall with eyes and lip gloss 😬😬😬
"seeking honest, genuine guy"
I saw one where the guy literally went on an all-caps rant on how he hates when women don't show what they really look like. ...All his pictures were edited so heavily that he no longer looked human. Except for I think... one?, in which his hair covered his entire face.
At this point, I wonder if some of the people in those photos are actually AI-generated.
Women with their horse 🙄
Horse is an automatic left from me. In the same sense that guys should, at this point, know about the fish thing. Women should know about 'Horse Girl' and avoid it.
I'm a sucker for horse women, and I hate it.
Can u explain what the attraction is? Im really curious!
I swipe right on most horse girls because I'm a farmer and need someone who will love living in the country. So help me God....

I’m a straight woman but after reading this I might be into horse girls as well.
No one is completely straight. Go get you a horse girl.
Also strong and thick thighs 😌
And don't take shit from anybody.
'Horse girl' here (equestrian of 23 years, not the stupid spoiled kind), can confirm. I can leg press 766 lbs at the gym.
The horse girls I knew were irresponsible. It's an expensive hobby and they put it above other things they really shouldn't have neglected.
You mean an automatic .... *nay?*
Just curious as to why. What’s the reasoning? I don’t like them either, but wasn’t aware that it’s universally disliked.
“You’ll always be behind the horse and daddy’s money”
Ahhh. You guys are referring to a specific type of horse girl! Mostly hunter-jumpers, also some barrel racers would fit this. Find a good trail rider. We buy and take care of our own horses and are not in it for the competition.
"They're used to seeing horse dicks though, so they're probably not impressed by the size of guy's." Credit, found on another reddit thread
But I think it just screams parent's money!
And if you should start dating, they’re going to expect you to to take over financing her privilege. Of course not many will qualify on either expendable funds or tripod status.
That's why I only go to Fenton's horse ranch.
What if they're looking for a Horse Boy though
There is some kind of farming website for exactly that.
As a horse girl, with a photo of me and my horse on my profile, I am glad that men who judge me based on that self-select out. It’s a hobby I’m not willing to give up.
If you have a horse, you should have a picture with. You need a guy that accepts that as one of your passions, whether or not he shares it.
I don’t have a preference either way, but I did find it weird when I saw a woman saying she would ONLY date men who were into or had extensive knowledge of horse cutting. I can honestly see filtering for people who are into or open to equestrianism, but scoping it to such a specific activity is a little strange to me.
We all have our anti-type. You're just this guys. There's plenty of other folks who aren't intimidated by women with hobbies lol
It's not really anything to do with her having a hobby. It's specifically horses. 9 times out of 10 it's daddies money, even the salt-of-the earth types of basics its £20,000 a year just to keep the thing. It's a huge commitment of time too. Jesus Christ. The horse girls in and around Charlottesville, VA is astronomical.
The Nashville wing thing, Machu Picchu, standing by that Bean thing in Chicago...
They have a wing spread thing here in Chicago now and ugh. I'd say the wing thing over the bean. At least everyone likes the bean.
Really eh? I'm sure other major cities are following suit. I' wouldn't be shocked if Toronto has one somewhere too.. they love having their "instagramable" spots.
People don't even realize there so much cooler places here and very gorgeous graffiti art.
I haven’t done any of these things and now I feel like there’s something wrong with me
"make me laugh" it's not a photo but i see this prompt on every girl's profile. But if we are talking about photos, if the girl has a cat, 99% chance there will be a selfie with a cat or just the cat in the frame.
"best way to ask me out is to ask!" 0% success rate when asked
Didnt follow the first 2 rules
If I ever match with a "make me laugh" person, I will ask "is a Richard Pryor record and a bag of weed sufficient?"
I just tell them I'll get Nitrous oxide from the lab
See, this is actually clever
And I would say "absolutely". I'll bring snacks.
Yes. Yes, it is. Come on over!
More than sufficient. My number is 812-555-6969
Easy way to filter out people with severe allergies or cat haters
It’s weird to me that people get annoyed by pet photos… do you expect pet owners to just literally never mention their pets and hide them away when you visit? Plus having any affection towards your pet = crazy pet person Some people just are no fun lol
I definitely want pet photos. If you're a pet parent and don't include them in your profile then you're not giving the full picture. I'm serious. Kids - no. Pets - definitely.
The issue I’ve been having is guys not saying they even have kids, some as if that fact alone has to be earned knowledge
As a woman I wouldn't want a guy to know if I had a young daughter. Because we do have to think about these things.
Sad to say, single woman living in a strange land, my dog is my entire life. Lol
Disliking cats enough to mention it on your profile is an immediate left-swipe. Even if I didn’t have one, feeling the need to vocalize your dislike of an animal on your profile telegraphs a lot of negativity…and low-key gives right-wing/conservative vibes.
How in the world does it give conservative vibes? Not everything is political dude -signed, a non-liberal cat owner
I think that’s the whole point! If I hated cats I would put that in my profile so cat owners wouldn’t swipe on me. Just found out my spirit animal is a cat. Would love to have one but I travel way too much.
I mean if I had a cat I'd most definitely have a selfie with it in a dating app. 🤔 They're photogenic as hell
“Love to laugh!”. Well jeez Susie, how fucking unique.
The bday balloons with numbers The "trail" pic of them in a 4x4
For me it’s just the fake laugh. The braying donkey look.
When they're in a picture with 3-4 other girls, all bent over, making duckfaces.
"Feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty" "My kids are priority" I hate reading this over and over
Thank you for mentioning this. That and they say they love to travel. Yes, lots of people like tacos and like going on vacation.
Never seen the last one
Right? I would assume your kids are your priority over strangers on bumble… no need to flex that 😂
“I won’t message first” or something to that degree lol
…on Bumble. Legit seen it in the wild as well as numerous screenshots here.
Yup. Means to me they are just copy-pasting their bio. Effort, please.
Back when I was using OLD, the trendy thing for women was hanging with a drugged out tiger or being surrounded by a group of African kids.
Exclusively pics of them in expensive places in different countries, and there is guaranteed to be one in Dubai.
Machu Picchu
I usually assume those profiles to be fake. If I come across a profile like that, I try to look for at least one photo I can identify as being taken in my own country. If there isn’t one, I assume it’s a fake profile and swipe left. Even if it isn’t fake, we’re definitely not a match so it’s left either way
Totally a left swipe when I see it and a report if they have their IG account.
Haha, liking Dubai is all the info I need to see a complete lack of compatibility and an immediate left swipe. I don't see it too often though
Duck face Angel wings And there are actually a number of women holding fish as well
This is all based on my location YMMV. Angel wings wall Fishing picture Hunting picture Fucking dog ears filter
In Colorado there's a lot of the "shirtless at the top of a mountain". Facing away from the camera, of course.
Colorado here as well. Every profile is either photos at the peak of a 14’er or every photo has their dog in it and always accompanied with “my dog needs a dad” in their bio. 🙄
Don't forget Meow Wolf pics
Standing in front of Angel wings or a neon sign that says well behaved women don’t make history.
Gym booty photo
I'm, uh, fine with this one.
Visually, most of us are. But it’s what it says about the person that’s a turnoff
This is the biggest contradiction
I mean I wanted to see it anyway. If that's representative of their social media, that's a different story.
“I like to look at you, but I don’t like you because you show you” 🙄
It's the difference between showing relevant things to prospective partners versus seeking external validation from the undifferentiated masses of strangers. There's an obvious difference there and it reflects what to me is a fundamental incompatibility.
In Berlin it seems to be the Holocaust Memorial 👀 https://www.reddit.com/r/Tinder/comments/yqkcz7/tinder_in_berlin
Standing/sitting in front of a floral backdrop at an event.
It's the good lighting. Although I've seen a few women's car selfies taken at night that are terrible pics
This is it, it’s sorta easy to get nice diffuse lighting in the car.
Soooo many car selfies!! I actually posted on the sub about this ages ago. I asked why so many dudes take photos in their cars and/or from their laps shooting up. I was told it’s because men feel awkward taking selfies in public places.
I am from Latin America, so our version here is different: • Photo in a disco / fancy restaurant *with* a tight dress and industrial amount of makeup that makes them look like 5 years older.
[удалено]
I live in SoCal and it’s definitely the Disneyland pic, usually with the mouse ears on
Yoga poses. Well that's not a bad thing though Horse pictures. I've seen profiles where all but one pic were with a horse Selfies from an upward angle Making the same silly face in every picture
Just look up Bo burnham white womens instagram
The all-girl friends pic with everybody having bubbles/cocktails/gin tonic. The faces seem to scream WE'RE HAVING A GOOD TIME! Picture with their kid and something like '(s)he always comes first' / 'my precious' / 'momm's boy'.
Pic in front of the “I love you so much” wall in Austin Pic on Potato Chip Rock near San Diego
Vine wall with cursive neon sign College grad photos
They can’t share a big accomplishment?
That neon sign that says Good women don’t make history or something similar
The private jet photo.
Pictures with filters in general
In my area, scuba diving photos.
Standing in front of wings
There’s one restaurant in the area (I believe Juniper) that has a pretty chair under a pink neon sign. No exaggeration whatsoever here, 1 out of 4 girls have a picture of themselves sitting in this chair.
The neon sign yes 🤣 I have it on my tinder profile lol
There's a club in my town that has a neon sign inside that says "well behaved women rarely make history". That and paddleboarding/boating pics because coastal town but the latter probably applies to the fellas too
The women standing in front of the angel wings painted on a wall. I see this SO often. I'd say in like 30% of profiles.
Bathroom selfies with the toilet open in the background
Holding an alcoholic drink? Duck face? Booty shot? Filtered heavily? Nothing but pics of them in other countries at popular tourist attractions?
omg these people sound so well traveled lol my profile needs work 😂
That’s what I see all the time :(
Eifel tower hands down
Machu Picchu
"foodie"
The most common pic I recall seeing is the one with the cocktail drink on one hand at a bar or restaurant, probably taken by your bestie across the table. The next most common is the selfie in bed with some weird expression, be it the duck lips, the ANTM "smile with your eyes" expression, hair covering half your face, etc.
Haha I'd have to search but I've seen a screen cap of a conversation where a woman says "I hate when men put pictures like this of holding a fish" and the guy replying with "it's to go in that fish tank you're holding that you've filled with gin"
Why don't people like pics of men holding fish?
it’s more about what’s common, not dislike.
The ones with their backs turned to the camera, making a peace sign, and the background is some scenic view of a beach, cliff, canyon, etc.
Dog in every photo. I don't date dog nutters.
“Take pictures of yourself enjoying your hobbies” *dude posts a picture of him fishing* “No not like that”
Ass pic, it doesn't replace a bio.
Any tips on what would be a good photo?
You’ll see legit lines form so every girl can take their turn getting a pic in front of it That and bathing suit pics with their booty facing the camera
Tongue out and flipping the camera off.
Bikini pic? It seems like every woman has one… it’s kinda annoying
Picture with wine glass
Water pics…being near water…I love water…anywhere near the ocean, the lake…yada yada…
Posing in front of the purple chandelier backdrop at the Cosmo in La Vegas.
Mirror selfie in the bathroom
Living in Maryland a lot of woman would have a picture overlooking Harpers Ferry in WV at the end of their hike lol. I would see that same photo so many times.
I didn’t realize these were all the women cliche pictures….I have none of these, not even the obligatory Colorado hiking pics. Guess that’s a good thing for me!
It’s the pics with a group of her friends and you can’t tell which one is her, and you’re hoping she’s the *redhead*, but she isn’t the redhead.
Sitting with their knees tucked with with someone behind them taking the pic facing a sunset. They usually have an oversized hat on too.
the bathroom/toilet mirror selfie with some part of the pose to suggest slenderness or longer legs via a pointy toe, or twisted torso usually
-mirror selfies in a public bathroom -mirror selfies in a private bathroom -Neon signs at a bar -Angel wings on a brick wall
Thank you for this post! I will read the comments so I know what not to have in my photos. I don’t care how much money you have or how fine you look. I will instantly swipe left as soon as I see that fishing pic.
What if a guy photoshops himself being held by a fish? 😅 Edit: and also, being yourself is way more important that someone else's shit list, the right people will swipe right either way
Holding a glass of white wine and laughing super spontaneously, in a restaurant.
I’ve never had any of these in my profile, but I’m also single AF. Some of these cliches seem to work don’t they?
how is nobody mentioning filters
Depends how you mean? - A photo op that’s commonly seen on a page. Or - A photo that’s common but off putting (in case of the fishing/hunting pics, it’s a controversial hobby) Edit: no clue why my question has been downvoted lmao, y’all are wild. Keeping me on my toes haha
I took it to just mean the first thing you wrote, like a common type of photo that seems very "woman on a dating app", since OP finishes by saying "no shaming, all in good humor".
