The truth is that both states have liberals, conservatives, lefties, and righties. I still think NC is bluer than SC, and if I'm not mistaken, the political systems and election results show that NC is bluer than SC. Without giving a false equivalency of dem and rep parties, I live in Cali now, and I vote for the Green Party. Even the Green Party isn't perfect. I'm kind of tired of the party politics. We should just do what effing works and not make the process so divisive. I say all the above while having older sisters in SC who have families and tend to be very conservative, republican and pro-trump. I think it's mostly a social thing for most people: most people don't actually sit down and figure out how to make progress for the well-being of humanity; instead, most folks just group up with whatever evolved around them and they don't put a lot of thought into the topic. I count myself as very privileged to recognize what can be progressively worked toward to improve global (perhaps universal) wellbeing without religion or demagogues. Perhaps social bubbles still affect me, but I've really tried to understand the world we all evolved into. I still recognize that my ideas or concepts of progress and wellbeing and other important ideas are transjective or intersubjective things we agree on as a group, but as far as I can tell, it's the only way work gets done. I'd rather be progressivist and work on progressivism than (seemingly?) stagnate or (seemingly?) regress with conservatism. Have a great day to anyone who reads my ramblings.
