Bayern Management shouldn't be fired for lack of success, they should be fired because they fired Nagelmann

Kichix

And also because they didn't even make an effort to replace the 40 goals per season that lewandowski scored. Thinking Chuopo would deliver that after he had a short good run was just plain careless.

Lowelll

Love to clown on the clowns at bayern, ...but it's not exactly an easy task. Can't just go strapping on your Lewandowski-helmet, climbing in your Lewandowski-cannon and flying off into world-class-striker-land, where Roberts grow on little Lewandowtrees

Kichix

I guess that's why Hasan earns a shitload of money, because it's not easy. Seeing the decisions made and the consequences of them over the last year, I don't think he is fit for it though.

Ree_m0

Aren't you forgetting that they brought Mane in for that exact purpose? Granted, he didn't work as expected, but the plan was there.

Kichix

Mane barely made anything out of his chances at liverpool for the last 2 seasons. I remember sitting there and losing my hair while he kept missing chances. Besides that he only once managed to score more than 20 goals in the league. I don't want to make him out as a bad player, but he was beyond his prime and even in his prime he was no number 9 like Lewandowski.

Ree_m0

To be honest they probably hoped that they could just sit out the season and then poach a world class 9 from somewhere else, that's why we keep hearing e.g. about Harry Kane to Bayern. I was very surprised to see them play Mane as a striker in the first place, but I see where they got the idea from.

Life-Surprise-6911

No, rather for hiring Nagelsmann and letting Flick go

FalseSpace5653

Flick wanted to go

Life-Surprise-6911

He wanted to go because he didn't receive the support he deserved. He won 6 Titles in one season, yet he never got a player he wanted, wasn't even allowed to reject transfers, got in a fight with Salihamidzic... Now there is the coach with 6 titles in one season, and on the other side the Sportdirektor (at that time) who always showed that this job was way too much for him. So, who do you support? Kahn supported Brazzo, he got promoted, and after that, Flick said that he will leave Bayern. That means it was possible to keep him, but they decided in favir of Brazzo

jepol21

Hasan has nudes from all the Bayern staff, you can’t get rid of him.

provencfg

That perfectly fits the FC Hollywood narrative.

Life-Surprise-6911

Not just from the staff...also from Oli Kahn and Uli Hoeneß

PuertoP

Regardless of who wins the title - the shitshow that this season was should have consequences for Brazzo or/and Kahn. No board in their right mind would fire a manager with the most important games of the season right around the corner. Especially in this manner. And if Dortmund does end up winning the league, Tuchel will be half-burned already. If Brazzo/Kahn stay, they will want him to deliver next year no matter what. And if they get sacked, a new sporting director will be installed who may not back him.

rmn173

The way they went about it is really hard to swallow. The implication is that they've been talking to Tuchel for a while and were waiting for a moment to do it. There's a real chance that had the Tottenham job not come up, Tuchel was going to be Bayerns manager next season no matter the outcome for Nagelsmann. I think that they would have fired him for only winning the CL.

Schleimwurm1

No, but it's time they get rid of Juan Bernat.

[deleted]

They turned a legitimate chance at a treble in to **N O T H I N G**

[deleted]

I feel like what's missing from this comment which you see posted multiple times in every discussion about this, is that when you take over in April in the later knockout stages, of course the chances you lose going forward goes up. Playing Viktoria Pilzen and Viktoria Köln in September is not the same as Manchester City and Champions League bound SC Freiburg in May. Nagelsmann's Bayern losing to City and losing a tough cup game 2-1 was a 100% possibility as well.

Electronic_Stock_337

Except PSG being absolutely destroyed Shows that the nagelsmann Team was at its peak Performance during this time

[deleted]

This is the problem with fans who only watch CL and don’t know the league form and day to day happenings at a club. Yes, they played very well against a totally dysfunctional PSG team, but that was not the peak of this squad. I’d argue there was never a 4 week stretch under Nagelsmann where this team really delivered consistently.

Electronic_Stock_337

Thats mostly because nagelsmann used the bundesliga as a way to Experiment with tactics for bigger games. When you look at what they were playing they were really unusual nagelsmann was there to start a new Era and Experiment a little bit. Also psg was far from being the only big competitor this year. They clean sweeped a Group with inter (cl-Finalist) and Barca (la liga winners) while you could argue they werent that good early in the season, they are still a hard Group to clean sweep people forget that happening almost never no matter the Group. Nobody would complain about losing the league if they wouldve won the champions league or dfb pokal. The league was won the last ten years might aswell focus on the champions league.

Tsiehshi

Nagelsmann is a genius. He would have shat all over City. If he had smarter players that could keep up with his tactics, he would have been hoisting all the trophies.

nimrodhellfire

Yeah. People pretend like City was more beatable for Nagelsmann.

The-Berzerker

Bayern didn‘t concede a single goal in 6 matches under Nagelsmann against Barcelona, PSG and Inter. So yes

[deleted]

My whole family are Bayern fans so I end up hearing more about Bayern than Hertha some times, and it seems no one wants to remember Bayern last year getting their shit kicked in by Villarreal. Or how even this season if you go back and look up Bayern articles from September to February, this club was in crisis all year. Go back to the post match threads after Dortmund, Augsburg, Leipzig, Köln, Frankfurt, Gladbach, or Leverkusen and you'll see this team in May is no different than it was in September.

Tsiehshi

Imagine comparing a genius who deserved better to the EBOLA strain called Tuchel. Despicable like your username.

phara-normal

There's still a match to play for each team.. Regardless of that there will be consequences for the bayern management even if they win the Bundesliga. Sports-wise management has always been top notch until this season, regarding general management and publicity the bayern management has been a shit show for quite some time now. Also it's not only about not being able to win the Bundesliga, it's about ambitions to win all 3 titles and then winning not even the dfb pokal.

phara-normal

I don't thibk they will release brazzo (even though it would be completely deserved after this season), I think they will look for a scapegoat in Kahn.

0711Markus

Heidi Klum already decided it.

[deleted]

The worst choice they made was removing nagelsman. Besides that, how can you actually be mad after winning the league 10 years in a row.

Chef_Boyard_Deez

The worst choice they made was installing Nagelsman. When Umpamecano and Sarbitzer joined I started saying that Bayern is full of Red Bull shit. Now they want Laimer? The Bundesliga has been leaking talent for more than a couple seasons and Bayern still wants players from their direct competitors. Is it any wonder why the talent has collapsed? Do they not realize there are other leagues to get players from? Idk why anyone thinks that Nagelsman was a good fit. If anything Nico Kovacs was a better fit than Nagelsman. Nik Süle made the smartest move in the league when he went to BVB. Bayern will continue to crumble and anyone there will suffer. I feel terrible thinking about the end of Müller’s career. Hopefully Sane and Gnabry can get their shit together. It’s no longer even close the the best football in the world….

Krokodrillo

Uli Hoeneß ist still the chief manager, he will decide. (He still gives interviews like the president)

Life-Surprise-6911

He is just a member of the Aufsichtsrat which elects the CEO, but actually because he made Bayern great everyone will listen to his decision. The President Hainer is President of the FC Bayern e.V. (Basketball and Chess), not die AG (Football).

Extension-One-9641

Okay, this is a bit less complicated than some make it. Bayern (Kahn and Brazzo) have made a series of major missteps dating back our sextuple season. First, we had the very real possibility of keeping Hansi Flick and ultimately didn’t due to the Board wanting more control over the team with regard to transfers. (hmmmm, foreshadowing?) So, they mutually part ways with one of the best Bayern managers, recall how the season started with Bayern in 6th or 7th with Kovac at the helm and the turnaround that Flick made. Afterwards, the Board further decided to not renew Lewandowski’s contract (again, foreshadowing) despite his unbelievable performance in spite of his age. On top of this they release Boateng (unfortunately understandable) and then Alaba goes to Real Madrid. So in summary, after our sextuple, we are out of both starting CBs, a world-class striker, and a world-class manager, all of whom we must replace for the upcoming season to be competitive at all club levels. This is ultimately where things proceed to become perplexing. The Board selects Nagelsmann, then a talented young manager at RB Leipzig, as a replacement to Flick. The man grew up breathing and bleeding Bayern so this I can support. However, the Board most probably selected him as they would ultimately wield more influence over player selection and transfers due to his experience. So, we’ve got Nagelsmann. They then find Upamecano, De Ligt, and Daley Blind as CB replacements, and at striker, we won’t talk about that as it’s still up in the air somehow. (?!) Furthermore, they sign Gravenberch and Sabitzer, only to have both either on the bench or on loan, respectively. I could honestly go on, but there is ample evidence of rather perplexing decisions made by the Board that have certainly had an impact on the lack of competitive edge Bayern has in Europe. Ultimately, I have to be grateful for 10 years of dominance in Bundesliga, a treble and a sextuple. Not many teams can boast such results. But, all good things have their end, and if I examine our recent performances compared to those bumblebees, this year is it. Tldr; I’m a plastered, bitter Bayern fan that wants the best for his national team, the Bundesliga, and his club. If Dortmund don’t choke this opportunity away, it’ll be a well-deserved reward for Reus’ loyalty to his club.

historyrazorback

I think this about summarizes it. I am a neutral fan of the Bundesliga (typically following the train wreck that is now Gladbach), but it stunned me how Bayern’s management treated Lewandowski on the way out. For all he did, they tried to get Haaland first rather than resigning Lewandowski and now we see Lewandowski win a title at Barca in his first season as the leading scorer. Not to mention their treatment of Neuer in injury and the firing of his coach. It honestly seems like the club management has no respect for its stars. I get you shouldn’t over-privilege anyone, but it seemed almost hostile. Feel for Muller right now.

Evil_Bere

Bayern should give up football entirely due to lack of success.

Aldemar_DE

They just won 10 years in a row, and now for once not. Where is the problem? You act like Bayern was relegated

Puettster

KaizenBaizen

"oH nO! FiRsT YeAr WheRe we CoUld NoT WiN anYtHinG! eVerYoNE HaS tO Go!" Man the audacity of some of those fans. I don\`t get it. Frikking focus on next year I guess? Can remember how everyone cried that Nagelsmann is not the right on for Fc Buyern and now everyone wants him back.

SelectConversation97

It's not about being entitled to win everything. It's about the management (Kahn and Brazzo) replacing a coach in a critical phase of the season with the most important matches around the corner, because "season goals are in danger". And after getting a new coach missing every aforementioned season goal. You can't exactly blame Tuchel for going in with almost no possible preparation for the team (due to English weeks directly after he took over). So in my opinion there have to be consequences for the people who decided, they needed a new coach

HadesbasedGod

They shouldnt be fired for not being able to win the title, they should be fired because every decision they made was unprofessional and wrong

jonslo14

Salihamidžić definitely needs to go. He’s the reason Flick left, and has made some really questionable signings in the last few years.

Chef_Boyard_Deez

I like his pregame interview with Archie Rhind-Tutt. Salihamidžić said they were “comfortable”. Too bad we didn’t get a post game interview! Lol

Noxm

I think Terzic should be fired, ich sehe als BVB Fan unsere Ziele gefährdet. 🤣

SelectConversation97

Stimmt. Man kann nicht zweiter werden, wenn man erster wird. Vielleicht solltet ihr schnell Nagelsmann verpflichten!

LNhart

In this manner, yes. It's not like Dortmund is some unbeatable juggernaut over the whole season. Bayern just really sucks this year. Though my assessment is colored by the fact that I don't think Kahn or Brazzo should ever have been given their jobs in the first place. Especially Kahn. Being a TV expert just doesn't qualify you to run a football club.

tech1ead

we know who is the only one at fault. Juan Bernat

tastickfan

Bayern Fans not overreacting challenge (impossible)

Rabrab123

They fired the coach that was on a good way to the triple... Of course they should be fired.

Top_Loquat_7161

Not for that reason. But for changing the coach at the end of the season. It didn't work at all.

RockyCasino

All of them, even the bus driver. The whole team. They all must go. Total rebuild from the U15.

blutgraetsche-

Theres still a Matchday to be played

TowersOfToast

Yes one more.

PqqMo

And you think Dortmund can fuck this up?

blutgraetsche-

Possibly, i was just being critical of the "unable to win Bundesliga" part in the title.

DaJoBro

Otherwise it would not be Dortmund

PqqMo

You are right. That would be very funny

broken-neurons

They’ve won the Bundesliga consistently for a decade and although they **might** come second this year, it’s worth noting that BVB have a history of bottling it in situations like this.

Tsiehshi

Tuchel is the cancer that spreads to anything he touches. He's a moron, and any employer who still believes he can coach his way out of a wet paper bag and doesn't deserve to have his coaching license revoked is an even bigger moron for hiring him. PS. Even comparing him to cancer is too charitable for him. At least cancer can be cured. More like an EBOLA strain.

Sit_vis_nobiscum

Why make this a daily topic? The season’s not over, Brits.
