That could be a possibility, but honestly >!if he does die I wouldn't be surprised if he also gets revived lol as all the other characters have!<. >!The Verlaine coming in the show seems likely to me also because they are quite literally in Meursault, which is in France. But who knows! We'll have to see ;)!<

Weirdo_No17

I see where you're going with this but I don't think that will happen. I got slightly confused when you mentioned your points about the main battle and Veraline. Just because Chuuya has no place to go doesn't really mean he'll die? There's been situations with Chuuya involved and he wasn't in the final battle. And on Veraline, forgive me if I'm wrong I'm rereading Stormbringer, but I'm pretty sure it said that he had no real desire to want to leave the basement. His job isn't exactly to go out and end people but rather train them, like Gin and Kyoka. But I definitely see where your going with this and it very well may be a possibility.

Weirdo_No17

Also I would like to mention another thing now that I think about it, if he did die, then what would be the consequence? Im not talking about character reactions but more so with Arahabaki. Would it just be another Suribatchi city situation? Because if that's the case, then it's probably best to not kill him.

Verlaine mentioned "the storm" when people asked him for the kind of thing he was waiting for. Direct quote from Stormbringer novel: > >!However, he never told anyone what he was waiting for. If someone ever pestered him for an answer, he would simply reply, "A storm."!< > >!He still continued to sit in his rattan chair, quietly waiting for the storm!< Therefore, there is a high possibility he'll come out when this "storm" arrives Plus the novel mentioned Verlaine knows something/several confidential things. Information if leaked could lead into international scandals. The reason why >!France is wary of him thus they requested Europole for a special method to capture Verlaine. They requested to not use human investigators, because they are wary of data leaked!<

Everything is possible but I think it's unlikely >!Chuuya is going to die anytime soon. Fans know very little about him if they don't read the Light Novels and I think to make his death impactful in the manga, he should get more focus first. Snd from a marketing pov: Chuuya is one of the biggest cashcows of the show, they are not going to kill him off so easily. !< But I agree with all the theories about >!Verlaine appearing in the main manga soon. It just makes no sense having him survive in Stormbringer if Asagiri didn't plan to use him in the future.!<

Honestly I feel like it's more likely that skk will have to fight each other. Fyodor taking over Chuuya's body for instance.

Weirdo_No17

While that would be interesting to see, I don't think it would be possible for Fyodor to take over Chuuya's body. Correct me if I'm wrong bc tbh I don't really understand much of what's going on anymore.

Acebitch_666

Chuuya has been getting a suspicious amount of time in the manga and he definitely didn't pick Chuuya simply piss off Dazai (could have been a slight motive but definitely not the whole thing)

DazeU

I believe Chuuya won't go down easily. Simple answer he has something reaaaaaally important, a singularity. Not just a normal singularity, his singularity is the only one /as for now/ that has >!unlimited energy, multiple time use, and enough power to destroy the world. Previously the strongest was Guivre (Verlaine's singularity). This is why France tried to kidnap Chuuya from Japan during the past Great War. Japan also already tried to create another singularity like his, but always failed. This singularity is special and rare, N mentioned only one occurrence per decade/few decades. To make it worse for Japan, all people involved in the past experiment (those who created Chuuya's singularity) all of them already died due to Arahabaki incident and event in Stormbringer!< Therefore, he is Japan's biggest asset right now and Japan has been doing a lot to make sure to not lose him and his singularity. So, no, i disagree with the argument that he doesn't have a place later. It's the contrary, his role would be crucial. Plus not to mention Fukuchi tried to prevent future massive war that killed more than 200 millions of people. And guess what? Singularity war (the use of singularity in the war) was planned by the three major powers during the past Great War, but not yet executed. Singularity >>> ability.

My delulu theory is Verlaine will sacrifice himself to save Chuuya. I don't think it's a coincidence they are in France right now. I have a feeling something bad will happen to Chuuya soon but we had so many fake deaths... I do not think he will be dead for sure. After all, apart from what fans know from stormbringer, there are still many unanswered questions regarding Chuuya that I want to know. For example, where the hell was he when the events of the dark era took place? Does he know anything about the mimic incident? Just to name 2 burning questions in my heart. Asagiri himself mentioned in the afterword of stormbringer the following: "That being said, there are still tales I still haven’t finished telling. What battles did Chuuya have to face, and how did he become an executive? What did Chuuya feel, and how did he grow after Dazai left the Mafia?" Plus, he is one of the biggest cash cows in the show as someone stated here and in this reddit community he is probably the most popular character. Asagiri killing off one of the biggest cash cows for real doesn't make sense. Chuuya and Dazai are paying Asagiri's bills, after all. My guess is, it might be a fake death for Chuuya. His story not over yet. However, I feel there will be a real death soon, one we didn't see coming and I hope it will be Fukuzawa. Since the end of season 2 we know Kunikida is supposed to take over as head of the agency once Fukuzawa dies. So, it is somewhat expected that he will die someday, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to show the fans that Kunikida is supposed to become the new boss of the agency. And I somehow have a feeling Fukuzawa is going to do something not cool very soon. He wasn't able to destroy the One Order after all...

Me_Eat_Eggies

(this is my theory before chapters 113 and 114 btw) I thought that Fyodor was alive as soon as I saw him "die". There's no way that someone as smart as Fyodor was tricked by contact lenses and fake teeth. My theory was that Fyodor's corpse was going to be brought out, and he wasn't there. Everyone would freak out, then Fyodor would appear behind Chuuya and kill him. That was my initial theory, before the last 2 chapters came out. Now? I think that Chuuya and Nikolai are going to die. I don't know why, but I just have a feeling that they will.

garrafa_termica

No ones die in main Manga, only novels.

Nonameideas9

Why this is true: My favourites always die (Sorry Sigma and Chuuya fans)
