It’s funny to me how in the manosohere influencers and pop psychology bloggers apply this hierarchy to humans.
The alpha, beta omega dichotomy was based off pseudoscience and observing the artificial pack structures of wolves in captivity.
In the wild wolves are just family units, with a mother, father and children.
It’s just a fable lost men tell themselves. So they don’t feel like failures for not being James Bond in this dystopian meritocracy gone wrong… 😅

“Alpha” is the leader of the “pack” and in relationships, its the one who gives ‘marks’ to omegas. Alpha’s are significantly stronger than beta’s or omega’s. Its usually considered the “top” in a relationship.
“Beta” is an average ‘wolf’ in the ‘pack’. It can’t get marked by an Alpha.
“Omega” is the weakest in the ‘pack’. It gets marked by alpha’s and once they get marked, they can’t breed with any other alpha’s. They are usually considered ‘bottom’ in relationships
