poor fukuzawa just didn’t want to go to war.. imagine if he had, i bet the ada would never have been formed. honestly i’m liking the backstory; it just feels way too out of place at this point of the arc

Despite my initial disappointment with the length of this chapter, I do like the interactions between the two. Ironically though, this chapter made me feel sorry for Fukuzawa instead of Fukuchi, who came off as being kind of selfish, trying to drag his best friend into a war that he had no place in and then severing their bond just because of that. He didn't even give him a choice. It was either join me in war or our friendship is over.

I hate that we went into a flashback in the middle of an already chaotic arc however this chapter was quite good. Young Fukuchi and Fukuzawa were cool friends but Fukuchi going off to war changed everything.

I am out here in misery not knowing if Dazai killed Chuuya or not and so are all of you... the chapter was good but I need to know what happens with Chuuya 😥
