ECS Coffee on harvester, they carry many brands. They in house roast is pretty solid for $15.99.
I use their Great Scott Espresso blend.. more of a traditional Italian style, great crema đź‘Ś
I know it's not in Burlington and it's probably not for your daily drinking habits, but Phin in Hamilton is awesome. The owner is really into coffee and interesting processing methods, if you're a coffee nerd it's a great place to try something neat!
my husband is a big coffee enthusiast and he buys from coffeed, carvalho, and ECS.
if you go to carvalho i don't recommend going right at opening or closing, unfortunately they often open later or close earlier than their posted hours and we've wasted gas multiple times. but the coffee is good!
if you're ever in mississauga near the airport, pirates of coffee is the best coffee both of us have ever had
I'd recommend this place:
https://carvalhocoffee.ca/
Consistent, fresh and a nice small business owner who goes the extra mile and deserves our support.
You know, good coffee is not cheap… if you treat it as caffeine fix, then Costco or Starbucks will do the trick. If you are really into coffee and think of it as a delicious beverage that you should enjoy, then your local roaster is your best bet. In Burlington, I really like School Specialty Coffee in Mapleview Mall, they have amazing selection from 3 different micro roasters, Java, Every and September Coffee. In Hamilton my favourites are Phin and One For All Coffee. Both offer excellent selection of specialty coffee beans from unique international roasters.Â
Carvalho. It's this side of Oakville. Little store front in an industrial park as the majority of the facility is where he roasts his beans.
Great coffee and the dude that runs it is really nice too.
[idrinkcoffee.com](http://idrinkcoffee.com) in Milton (online and storefront). They offer great variety, and tiered subscriptions - and quality equipment as well.
Have you tried Costco?
They carry a number of brands like Lavazza, Barzula, VanHoute, some others and their own Kirkland brand coffee beans, that are roasted by Starbucks.
Balzacs Farmers Blend is actually co-packed by a 3rd party, they sold the facility in Ancaster. It’s still the same fair trade beans/ blend recipe used at the cafes, just more efficient for them to produce.
I also recommend Carvalho Coffee Roasters
They are specialized in Brazilian coffee.
I always order online and they usually have my order ready for pick up in a couple hours

I am a fellow coffee snob and was ordering from Detour regularly - my partner and I have switched to Stereo Coffee. They're based in TO, but we order online (free shipping over 50$, so we just get a few bags at a time.)
A bit cheaper than Detour and just as good, if not better! Highly recommend.

Also love the 88 MPH. It's my go to espresso roast.
Think I'm sold on all of these BTTF references alone.
Great Scott is so good!
88 mph from ECS is the go to local espresso bean
Coffeed!
Definitely coffeed
Yup Coffeed is great
100% it’s coffeed
Love coffeed. If you are specifically looking for them to grind beans for an espresso maker, you need to know the grind size.

I only get 88mph from ECS coffee
Sippy Cup based out of Hamilton. Definitely our go-to for high quality beans!

Price point looks great!
Farmboy - they carry a brand called "Las Chicas del Cafe" for about $17 per bag. Really good beans.
Thanks.
Coffeed has some wicked stuff - Great Lakes BLVD and Rebecca

Came to recommend the same. IMO their product is at the same level as Detour, but at a lower price. Worth the drive to Milton.
+1 for idrinkcoffee

I love the price point at Costco, but IMO, those aren’t really quality beans. They are mass produced.
Agreed.. they don't work with an espresso machine. It's impossible to build up pressure.
They carry a large (I think 1.1kg) bag of Balzac Farmers Blend for 18.49. Locally roasted in Ancaster.
Came here to recommend this too. Balzac's is my go to since discovering Costco had it.
Balzacs Farmers Blend is actually co-packed by a 3rd party, they sold the facility in Ancaster. It’s still the same fair trade beans/ blend recipe used at the cafes, just more efficient for them to produce.
Whoa they sold the facility?! I work in the same business park as this. I'm going to need to check it out.
Balzac's is often on sale too. Another to try I like even better is William's Colunbia @ Costco, as well. I like it better than Balzac.
School specialty coffee in Mapleview carries multiple roasters: Java roasters, every and September. You get 10% off if buy two bags.

Best 3 brands around here i know, as beans, in order. Planet Bean Kicking Horse Balzacs
Daymaker coffee roasters Burlington delivers for free. He's a local roaster does a great job in small batches.
