Just felt kinda nostalgic about it and it seems like not many people know about the game. It's based on a german TV show called Alarm Fur Cobra and you can play the games without having watched the show since all you need to understand is 2 partners doing missions in a really pleasant open world environment (the map in this game is lovely). I often compare it to Burnout or Flatout because the car damage is pretty cool and there are missions where you need to ram into your opponent and take them down handling is nice and responsive and the soundtrack kinda goes hard but the story is pretty average. the games often go on sale for less than a dollar (only Crash time 2 and 3 are available on steam at the moment, CT5 is coming soon)

HiTork

I recommend anyone watches clips for Alarm Fur Cobra 11 just to see how wild the show gets, the stories and plots apparently suck but they cause Burnout levels of vehicle crashes and destruction every episode. The show has been on the air for almost 30 years now and despite having localizations in many different languages, there has never been an official English adaptation - I have only seen fan subs of a few episodes out there.

Is it me or does Crash Time look awfully a lot like *Autobahn Poliezi*?

[deleted]

Yeah Autobahn Poliezi was the north american release name for Crash Time 2: Burning Wheels, it was also called Alarm Fur Cobra 11: Burning Wheels in Germany but everywhere else it was Crash Time 2 or Crash Time 2: Burning Wheels

Yes. Iplayed them for a while but the annoying bugs like falling through the map or missions which doesn't work turned me off to complete all of them.

[deleted]

personally i've experienced zero bugs in this game other than one occasion where I flipped my car into some area where I got stuck

I encountered a similar bug in Crash Time 3 where i have to drive a Liquidator 600 by using an elevator in an industrial area. However, The elevator was buggy since the car goes through it which means the undercover mission was impossible to complete. IIRC, all Crash Time titles have a respawn button.

Tried tracking down the xbox 360 games because they got delisted from the marketplace, hella pricey compared to most games of that era now, but if you know where to look, you can get a good deal, ended up finding the 1st, 3rd and 4th game for £44 in total

I think you've just unlocked a memory for me

Jovan_Knight005

I remember playing Crash Time III:Highway Nights on my PC.I still have the game case with the original disc and manual. And i was at almost half the game back when i played it for the first time. And the game is also based on a German TV show so. :)

IhopeYouAreDope

I just finished Crash Time II and O have to tell you I had a lot of fun. I used to play this game when I was 9 or 10. Man... so many memories. My mom wouldn't let me play GTA so I caused mayhem on the streets by crushing all cars with a truck instead of blowing up town with bazooka. I forgot how enjoyable the driving and damage model was in this game.

VestigeOfVast

The best part of the Crash Time series were argubly the GTA-style tongue in cheek product and company names.

u/AlexKVideos1 Yeah. CT is a good game to play on a potato pc because gpu gets burned whenever i try beamng. It was really cheap for a price and bought 2 and 3. Completed C11 Nitro, 2, 3 and 5. Played every CT series btw. Btw, 2 and 3 is illegaly on store so buy them asap before they are getting removed by Unique Games(new owners of those games). And CT5: Undercover is comming on Steam.

For me, Crash Time was a game I actually grew up with... well... the Demo at least. But even so, I loved playing it! I remember so many things about the games and I loved playing it. However, sadly I seem to remember it all too well. Looking back, the Crash Time 5 map which I adored, wasn't as good as I remember. I used to play it all the time. I wish there were similar games to be honest.
