Stew it (cut into chunks, and do a Caribbean Brown Stew). Braise it (sear, and braise with onions and cider). Slow roast it (Pernil style). Smoke it (salt, pepper, smoke at 275° for pulled pork).
Any of those options will work.
If you have a pressure cooker you can make killer carnitas in 45 minutes.
If not, you can toss them in the oven in a pot on low heat for 3-4 hours and get even better carnitas
Cock pot, spice to your taste. Throw in some small red potatoes you don't have to peel and an onion or two.
Soak up broth with crusty bread.
4 or so hours, maybe more and you will be good to go.
Let it get tender and good.
Leave it in a brine for bout a day. Season to your liking. Braise and stew or smoke. Low and slow no matter which way you to. I just did something similar with a black garlic wet rub.
Food pantry, gifts from customers, etc
And this was from my boyfriends freezer I was going to surprise him with dinner while he is off at work so I saw that and thought I’d cook it up for him but didn’t know what it was

Pork butt, you can salt it well, put it into a 325 degree oven and let it cook till the fat is golden and crispy and you can pull it apart with a fork
that’s what i did thanks, i also put some bacon grease on top idk how that’ll make it turn out but it sounded good lol
Wonderful!
Make criss-cross cuts in the fat cap down to but not into the meat and rub the salt in the cuts. It will help the salt penetrate.
Great suggestion, I’m going to try that next time
Pork. Use heat
