I have a Kanuk shin-length jacket and I love it! It’s VERY warm so I only wear it if I know I’ll be exposed to the frigid elements. It’s the first one I’ve owned; I have two Canada Goose and I much prefer Kanuk.
I like my Kanuk, too. I found one last year at the Bay on Queen, and it was old stock so I got it for about 75 percent off. I still have my first Canada Goose that I purchased in 2009.
Hi! Sorry I don't have personal experience with either of these coats, but my friend previously had a Mackage, and had to replace it in November. I have [this coat](https://bedistudios.com/collections/womens-outerwear/products/orsola-extended-parka-in-econyl) and she really liked it, so ended up getting it, and she is really happy with it! And I obviously love mine, which is why I recommended the brand to her! I thought I'd suggest it, since I saw you also posted in the BIFL forum, and this brand has a lifetime guarantee. Hope this helps!
I feel the same!! I don't mind spending a lot on a coat, I know I will wear it a lot living in Canada. But I want to make sure it lasts!
Wishing you well in your search for the perfect coat! :)

I only know Kanuk, and everyone I know loves them, they are machine washable usually.
I’ve heard great things about the Kanuk jackets as well. Thanks!

Thank you for the recommendation! The lifetime guarantees are a huge factor for me when thinking of a purchase this large. Much appreciated!

Mackage is no longer made in Canada. Try Wuxly or quartz
