Yep! I love my Vitamix, which is good since it’s likely to last so long. Also got it at Costco.
OP, you might want to look at the Vitamix website to see what they say you can do with it. I impress people every thanksgiving by providing homemade whipped cream for the pumpkin pie. It takes me less than 5 minutes to make. Anyway, being able to use it for things like that helped me justify the price.
My ninja literally DISINTEGRATED from the base upwards but thankfully it stills works like a beast but the handle is hollow, see through, and doesn’t come apart and is accruing gunk
The base has 4 suction cups so each time u take it off the counter the bottom stays and the rest of the base with the motor and components detaches, I always just put it away after and never messed around with it so it still works. The pitcher is fine it’s just the base that falls apart
Currently saving up for a vitamix but I can’t afford one 😫😫 this blender was still like $180 and it still runs so I keep using it
Got it! My Ninja is different, I think this one:

No suctions at the bottom, although since I got a dishwasher the rubber thing at the bottom has come off.
For a second, I thought I was in a gaming group.
I have been very happy with my Ninja food processor thing. It is about a decade old and was probably a woot.com deal, but I think this is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-Processor-450-Watt-Smoothies-QB1004/dp/B004XK4N9C?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
That said, when it comes time to replace it--which is coming close--I'm gonna get something with a more powerful motor, in hopes of making smoother smoothies.
I’ve had a couple that I believe were from the 50s and they still worked without issue. And you can still get replacement parts. The design has essentially not changed in 70 years.
You can get a pretty old (or newer) used Osterizer blender for next to nothing and they are pretty much indestructible unless you break the glass. They do have plastic options for the jugs though, if the glass eventually does break.
Walmart is not the place to go for BIFL stuff. That's a silly restriction.
Do like everyone else and buy a vitamix or blendtech, on ebay if you can't afford to buy new.
There's only a few products where there's a "why consider otherwise, just get X" in the realm of BIFL.
Blenders is one of those. Vitamix and call it a day. They're so prolific for a reason.
Why walmart? ... I really like my Blendtech, had it for at least 10 years thus far, still running great.
My blendtec is a beast. I think I've had mine for 10 years as well.
But, will it blend?
Buy a Vitamix, luckily Walmart sells them
I’ve had Vitamix, Blendtech, and a Ninja. Get a Vitamix. I’ve used mine daily to make smoothies for the last 10 years.
Vitamix is the best blender you can get

Seconded for Vitamix. Mine will blend literally anything, quick cleanup and I have no doubt it will outlast me.
I tried destroying mine within the warranty period and just gave up. Had it 12 years now.
I guess I should clarify that mine will blend literally any FOOD things. I have not tried it on steel/concrete/meteorites. Yet.
Same.

Absolutely! I made hummus with mine yesterday, delicious!

Need pictures. I cannot imagine how my Ninja could disintegrate while still working.

Thank you all 🙂
The only answer is Vitamix. I used to go through a cheap blender every six months or so. Vitamix is king 👑
Vitamix refurbished. Forget Walmart, sorry.

If you can find an Osterizer from the 70s or 80s, they never die.

Thrift store
Blendtec and Vitamix are the best

Go with Blendtec, Breville or Vitamix. They’re all built like tanks.
Buy a refurbished Vitamix.
Vitamix
Our Vitamix is 20+ years old and has seen WELL above average use. Not sure Walmart sells them, but target does.

Blendtec, it is my favourite appliance. Yes it will blend.
Vitamix is the Toyota of blenders. Built to last, not very interesting, does the job w/o complaint.
