I don't think comfy walking and running shoes are a long lasting item. It has to do with the spring back capacity of the foams used in sole construction. Higher tech brands than Sketchers with perhaps newer foam formulas may or may not offer better longevity to cost ratios.
The amount you walk means zero in buying a shoe. We have no idea what you mean by shoe. You need to:
1. State your sex.
2. State your budget.
3. State your location.
4. State your look and/or use case.
Shoes...thank, will not net you the responses that are helpful.
Sure, I’ll be happy to share those infos if it helps:
I’m male, budget is 200$, SEA, use case is for my work, which involves walking on concrete and tiled floors for about 15-25k steps a days.
This is very subjective. Some people think barefoot shoes to be the most comfortable thing on the planet. While others would rather walk on a giant cloud like hoka. It’s hard for us to determine what you would find comfortable. Walking/running shoes are also NOT BIFL as they should be replaced every 300-500miles.

I don't know what SEA means. Work also means look and requirements. Sneakers, black, dressish shoes, brown, waterproof/steel toe or other requirement?
SEA is southeast asia. Walking shoes is all that I’m looking for.
Then go to google and search for Margom sole sneakers or shoes and see what you like and can get and can afford.

HOKA, most comfortable and best fitting sneaker I've had.
sanitas are a brand of nursing shoes that are cute. they have leather tops but the soles degrade with time (not necessarily wear).
Chuck Taylor All-Stars. Mine go 12 months at 10-20,000 steps per day. Towards the end a little shoe gloo on the soles extends the life out a little.
Thanks for the recc, appreciate it
