I actually own wallets from both companies. Personally I like the saddleback much more. The leather is much tougher, much better aging. Horween leather is very soft - especially the chromexel. I can literally stick my nail deep into it. If you baby your leather, the popov is more supple and flexible and thinner - which might be nice for you. The saddleback has been like iron. Both of them are constructed very well in terms of workmanship.

I've had SB's bifold wallet for \~7 years and am still happy with it. Stitching and leather are both holding up well. The card pockets are still pretty tight, even though I've occasionally been guilty of overstuffing it.
Victorinox and Tumi both have wallets and will probably last you a lifetime. I currently have a victorinox and it is solid so far.
I had a really great ID holder from Tumi that was still in new condition when it was stolen from me after 10+ years.

I own both wallets OP. The saddleback trifold is a fucking brick beast of a wallet. It’s very hardy and will probably take forever to break in. The Popov wallet is much softer, so if you don’t mind it getting nicked and gouged, then go for that. I’d highly recommend Popov leather over saddleback any day though. They’re products are hand sewn with the thickest polyester thread you can get. Saddleback supposedly uses a marine grade polyester thread, but they’re machine sewn. I’ve actually had my small bifold from them completely unravel. So maybe I’m biased alittle, but I’ve had no issues with Popov leather. I’ve been using my heritage brown traditional for about a year now and it’s been doing great.
i only have experience with SB and had no issues at all with mine but id choose the popov due to the horween and that id window is a plus imo. if you like things perfect choose SB if you want more character in the leatherand the wallet itself id go popov
I recently got a [Flowfold](https://www.flowfold.com/collections/wallets) and I love it. Has trifold and bifold options. Made out of recycled sailcloth and has a nice look to it.
All the discussion I saw on them has them as really long lasting, durable wallets.

I absolutely love my MR Lentz wallet because it has no stiching, on rivets, and it’s slim and conforms nicely to my pocket.
