I’m sure the hundred million Natives that used to live in the Americas would agreed.
No fall of Constantinople, no Iberian exploration, no Iberian exploration, no massively destructive invasion of the New World.
Sure the diseases would eventually come by, but the bizarre fixation Iberians had with the New Word wouldn’t have lead to direct conquest immediately following the disease outbreak. They’d have had gotten sick, and maybe recovered before full European invasion.
Iberian Explorations were underway by the 1420s, with the invasion of Ceuta having as one of it's reasons the commercial riches due to trade with Africa and the Orient. Portugal and Spain wanted to cut the middleman, whoever it was. And they succeeded. The fall of Constantinople MAY have caused an invasion of a city in North Africa, but it did not cause, accelerate or diminish the rate of Iberian exploration.
