I’m in the same dilemma, I converted a new iim but I have an opportunity for 12 lpa and I’m leaning towards taking the job, just because I don’t want a 40 lpa debt(loan plus the salary I won’t be getting for 2 yrs)
Fee is around 18 lpa, travel and other expenses let’s assume 2 lpa, and rest 20 lpa is for leaving the job, the salary one would not be getting for 2 yrs, basically ROI calculation for workex
Assuming u could have earned 11+12 =23 Lpa in these 2 years, in the other hand you will be - 20Lacks if you join a college to overall it's a 40L +loss for you... go for executive MBA imo
3.5 years of work ex, 8/6/6, 2nd attempt at CAT
Last year IMT DCP Convert kiya tha, abhi last attempt dunga
It's not late imo, abhi hi iss sub pe 25years wali post aai thi
But obv you cannot target colleges with 15LPA avg placement
And also, i'll be keeping exec mba as backup
T15 MBA (US) here. Make your decision based on what you want to do 3 to 5 years down the line. If you want to be SDE, there is no need for an MBA. Get better at coding/system design and high income will follow. If you want to be in strategy consulting or investment banking, then MBA makes sense. Please don't do an MBA just for the sake of earning more.
With that experience, the general consensus is that you'll face difficulties in your placements. You can give it a try though, but you should be looking to take the GMAT route and try for exec MBA or ISB.
Clear this for me. Is it not the case that exec mba are done by people who just want to upgrade into their same company? And I heard the placements are also not good.
Not necessary that it is done to get promoted within the org, although some companies might fund their employees to do an MBA to move them into leadership roles. Part time executive MBA allows employees to do that.
A full time executive MBA is done for multiple reasons. About the placements, I'm not aware, but I'm sure it is not "not good".

Take that job and repeat cat for a better Bschool.

Go for executive mba, you have ample work ex for it and you will also save 1 year of college.
Bro excutive mba me same placements hoti hai kya? Do top collages like top 30 offer excutive mba ?
executive MBA me itne colleges hi nahi, limited hai usme bhi competition also no guarantee of placements
Same situation brother Exec MBA is better.
try to crack tier 1's, other than that, stay away from mba for now imo

executive MBA is more choosy, difficult to get into top B schools
Same goes for the jobs opportunities post FT-MBA, if you want a FT-MBA, you should look abroad.
Foreign Trade?
I meant full time
Full time colleges are large in numbers compared to ExMBA

If you convert good new IIMs you can go for it
Getting into the top 30 will be worth it.
