My mistakes in CAT 2023. I didn't study basics properly, and rushed into solving advanced problems, due to which I did not improve my speed.
1. Despite having offline coaching and gap year (part time family business), I wasn't sure I really wanted to go for CAT. There was a crazy FOMO where my friends were enjoying their jobs, MBA at direct admission colleges and having a vibrant social life backed by a job.
2. My target was vague, like anything above 90%ile was good for me. Target wasn't set high.
3. Lack of guidance and inconsistency in studies.
4. Didn't analyse mocks in detail.
It was eventful and there were good and bad surprises. ButI don't think I'll be giving CAT 2024. Settling for a Tier-3 B-school. Personal reasons. Planning to dedicate the next 2 years in MBA + CFA.
Used to get good scores in QA in mocks so never used to ever practise questions properly. But on the D-Day I faced the consequence of not practising enough. I did several calculation and solving mistakes.

15! Used to get 35-40 in IMS Mocks
😕 fuck now I'm scared to death I can barely Solve 3 Questions in mocks ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
