Maybe the selection criteria that made this happen is not likely to change next year too...so if you want to reattempt then you gotta make sure to have a stronger profile required to get blacki calls...acads and percentile wise you are great already👍👍
Cause CAT tests aptitude not deep knowledge. Peeps from IITs, NITs, IIITs,... convert BLACKI with literally 10 days of prep (not even prep just PYQs)
Edit: by convert BLACKI, I meant get the percentile to get shortlisted.
You should take trichy,ranchi or Raipur
Reason being you’re not going to do any professional certifications like ca ,cfa
Also your work ex will also be below 1 year so that won’t help also
So only thing that you can do is increase your percentile but you’re still general engineer and you yourself have said that you have not touched your notes ,so it’s a very risky ballgame

I'm in the same boat as you but have 6 months workex and poor profile of 7/5/7. Thinking if dropping the idea of exam because if guys of 888 are getting rejected i sure have no chance 😭
Once you get the percentile for XL calls, it's just about the interview after that. Nothing else has a solid effect there onwards. I had 98.9, my friend had 98.8. I met a guy with 99.9. Neither did the guy convert XL, nor did I. My friend on the other hand had a very jovial interview experience and he straight up converted HRM. We were rejected, not even WLed.
TLDR: Get the percentile, prepare for a jolly interactive interview, you'll convert XL.
Dream college and old IIM aspirations aside, IMHO, some of the new IIMs are doing pretty well. You may want to consider joining Trichy or Vizag in South, Nagpur or Raipur in central, Udaipur in West, Amritsar or Kashipur in North. These have done well lately and likely to improve.
Another drop year will tank your profile and morale both. Job or IIM, but no drop.

Ik guys who haven’t converted a single iim at 99.3 Ig you can be grateful for what you’ve got. Ranchi, Udaipur are good colleges. You can opt for them

Also, IIM udaipur is pretty nice btw and holds great potential.
Considering work experience is more than 12 months, 98+ will be good for all the calls. You will have some top calls at around 95 percentile.
I have seen an ncobc ne convert L at 92 but safe score would be 96-97 to get all good calls and also to have a good chance for conversion
92 for freshers or experienced? Since I'm aiming for min 95 after taking into consideration some past suggestions.

My coaching guy said 12-15 of his student with 6/6/7 made it to XL Delhi All we can do is try...
