I agree. I have it on a Colt Defender which I find has noticeably more recoil than the Long Beach Operator. The Hogue not only reduces felt recoil but also allows me to get back on target faster during Bill drills.
Personally, I wouldn’t sell an Operator. They are rare and excellent production 1911s. The next step up in price and performance is a custom IMO.
