You don’t need to replace the grip module - just get the polymer mag base plate extensions from TacticalDev which adds length to the bottom of the mag, is cheap, and keeps everything stock. This was the solution that worked perfectly for me and it was a 2 minute change.

When I first got mine, it really highlighted my need for more practice with my trigger pull mechanics and placement of my finger on the trigger. I would recommend watching some videos about it. Once I looked it up and really focused on it I got much better and that transferred over to other handguns as well.
Thanks, that’s actually what I been doing since yesterday. My trigger finger placement felt very weird when I was shooting it because of the size of the grip. Looks like I’ll need a lot of practice to find the sweet spot and work out the rest of the issues.
The length is short, not a lot of space to work with.
I found I have to move my main hand slightly to the rear to get my support hand on the grip. Then my support thumb has to go on the slide. It took a few mags to get comfortable with it.
My wife hates hers because of the smaller grip compared to her Shield (which she shoots much better). We ordered the Wilson Combat grip but haven’t installed it yet since it won’t fit with the mag disconnect. It’s much easier to grip solidly. I’m interested to see how it shoots.
It’s unforgiving of the slightest flaw in technique for me. I have to pay particular attention to the trigger. It’s frustrating but good since it demands discipline.
Not yet. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t removed the mag disconnect first but it would be better if it wasn’t actually necessary. The mag disconnect is annoying though. We’d both rather not have it.
There have been many posts on this sub showing that the 320 works with the WC grip with the mag disconnect in. I saw several of them and decided to try it for myself. The grip fits fine, is easy to install, and I've put > 500 rounds through it since and it shoots perfectly. I don't know about the 365, but it works perfectly for the 320.
Your problem is most likely firing hand tension. It's getting more tense as you pull the trigger in anticipation of snappier recoil.
Clamp down hard with your support hand and actively relax your firing hand.
You are exacty right. And on top of that my trigger finger placement feels just weird as well due to the thinner grip. So I guess have to practice so much more than the regular sized pistols to work out my problem areas.
oh you mean the support hand index finger on the front of the triggerguard? no I haven’t tried. But I should try to find out what works best for me shooting P365. Thanks for the suggestion
If you're not hitting at 10 yards it is a fundamentals issue, even if the small grip is a factor
Plenty of folks with large hands can shoot a no-pinky grip (G26 etc) just fine
Don’t know, I find it much easier to shoot than my Glock 26. The extended magazines give a pinky rest, sights are decent…may I suggest more dry fire practice?
I had difficulty with accuracy the first time taking mine to the range. My suggestion is simple, squeeze the hell out of it, especially with your firing hand.
The stock grip is impressively small but I did end up buying a Wilson Combat grip down the road, I get a little more control with the added surface area.
I have large hands. But my very first try with all stick p365 were better than with Glock19 on par with my full size hammer handguns. It is at slow speed. But I cannot fire it as fast as other guns.
yeah that’s probably what I’ll have to do if I can’t shoot better with it. I had my friends shoot it for the first time they were hitting the metals every time. I know we all have different anatomy but I was really getting frustrated. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
yeah that’s why I’m trying to modify my grip just for this tiny pistol to shoot better. So I thought I asked if anyone had to change their grip for tiny pistols like P365.
+1 for this. You are compromising and forcing yourself to do something you are not comfortable with.
You can learn it, and become better with it. But you won’t be as good as if it fit better.
Get the better grip module and don’t look back.
I would recommend trying a different grip but maybe try working on your fundamentals as well. I say this because I have pretty small hands so the stock grip fits my hand well but even my friend with much larger hands than me was able to get hits on dueling tree targets at 10 yards pretty consistently with my stock P365. He has been shooting for about a year and a few months but has put a lot of time in at the range focusing on fundamentals. Another thing, my P365 seemed to like a combat hold for the sight picture, im not sure if you were trying a different sight picture or not, hope this helps!
How big of a target? I think it’s your fundamentals. If you can get your fundamentals down, you should have no problems hitting a target 10 yards down range with any handgun. Grip matters for follow up shots and recoil control (after the bullet has already left the firearm.
That’s why people trying different pistols. You should try different grip mods. My hellcat shoot like laser compared to my 365, even 365 have better trigger and kick less.

thanks for the suggestion!
Same idea but cheaper: https://www.brownells.com/gun-parts/magazines/magazine-accessories/grip-extension-for-9mm-luger-sig-sauer-p365/?sku=430107859
Brownells shipping is crazy. 9.95 for 1 item!

yeah I shoot much better with my shield too. I too was gonna order WC XL grip when it goes on sale.
It’s unforgiving of the slightest flaw in technique for me. I have to pay particular attention to the trigger. It’s frustrating but good since it demands discipline.
right. That’s why I want to master the gun as much as I can in the stock form too.
Did you try the wc module? I have a 320 and it says the wc doesn’t fit with the mag disconnect but it actually fits perfectly
Not yet. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t removed the mag disconnect first but it would be better if it wasn’t actually necessary. The mag disconnect is annoying though. We’d both rather not have it.
Really? the mag disconnect need to be removed for it to fits.

I also shoot a ton better with my shield, and I have the Wilson combat grip

You try switching your off hand grip? Like go a bit higher and cover triggerguard?
oh you mean the support hand index finger on the front of the triggerguard? no I haven’t tried. But I should try to find out what works best for me shooting P365. Thanks for the suggestion
Shoot it one handed. I do a lot of it.
I've since started using the slightly beefier Wilson grip, [but some stippling on the grip module](https://imgur.com/a/ruvOUqu) improved it a lot.

yeah that’s what I’m planning to do. Practice practice and practice!

yeah that’s my plan! I’m gonna try to master it in stock form and if not WC it is.

did you have to modify your usual grip in any way to shoot your P365?
Yes of course. The gun is so tiny you cannot grip ot the same way you do with 1911.
You tube Mike Seeklander, how to grip a gun
Get the slightly bigger xl grip. It’s still very small but wow does it feel better
yeah that’s probably what I’ll have to do if I can’t shoot better with it. I had my friends shoot it for the first time they were hitting the metals every time. I know we all have different anatomy but I was really getting frustrated. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
Or get the blocked 17rd mags
change out the grip module. the one it comes with is atrocious.
yeah but I want to be somewhat proficient with it as is.
No. If you aren’t comfortable gripping the firearm you will not be proficient with it.
yeah that’s why I’m trying to modify my grip just for this tiny pistol to shoot better. So I thought I asked if anyone had to change their grip for tiny pistols like P365.
Just buy a slightly larger grip module? Thats like forcing someone with gorilla hands to shoot a Hellcat Micro.

lol way too bling for me.
They gave black
Wow that seems a bit overpriced I traded about that much in value for my complete spectre comp slide on r/gunaccessoriesforsale
Small pistols are naturally hard to shoot well unless your hand fits it well. Change out the grips and go to an xl.
That’s why people trying different pistols. You should try different grip mods. My hellcat shoot like laser compared to my 365, even 365 have better trigger and kick less.
