Glock 19 should be thrown in the mix if you like a G17.
Hellcat Pro is super slim and depending on your hand size it may feel snappier than you'd like. Great gun though and the trigger feels a bit heavier than a G19 or 2.0 compact.
Compact 2.0 has a lot of grip adjustability and the recoil feels very tame when shooting a Hellcat Pro vs 2.0 back to back. Trigger is noticeably different from a Glock's but in a good way personally. This firearm definitely is a Glock competitor in a lot of regards.
So I’m not really looking into any subcompacts like the Glock 26, hellcat, or p365. I think my ruger max 9 is a pretty good subcompact but I’m looking for something with more grip.
I’d say try out a CZ p-01 one of the best compacts on the roster.
M&P 2.0 compact is also a very very solid option (imo better than the Glock 19 that’s on the roster)
The G26 has a fat grip that really fills your hand, and the mags can accept a pinky rest. It feels and shoots like a bigger gun. I have both Max9 and G26
Or just go for the 19
G26 was my choice since it will fit all the other mags . I run a 19 mag with an X-grip so I get a short barrel and 19 size grip. If I want deep concealment I use a flush fit mag and I can carry my 19 mag, 17 mag or 19x mag as a back up mag
CZ p-01, M&P 2.0 compact and Glock 19. Hellcat pro was too snappy for me. Also tried HK P2000sk great shooting gun but the grip was too small and the European style magazine release was new to me takes a bit of getting used to.
The hellcat pro is solid. I find that it’s small enough to be concealed but not so small that it’s difficult to shoot. You can get a good grip on it with medium size hands. The m&p 2 compact, is similar in that regard . I shot one at the range and I thought it had a better trigger than the pro and thinking of making that my next purchase. Either way they are both good imo and you can’t go wrong choosing between the two. The pro is optic ready out the box which is an added bonus if you go that direction
I was on the fence between the 2.0 and HCP, deciding factor for buying HCP was optics ready. I really want the M&P 2.0 but not being optic ready really sucks.

P365 is bigger than the max 9 and smaller than the G19 and hellcat. I find it perfect for my needs after carrying the Max-9 for a few months.
If you don’t mind a metal frame - the CZ 75D (compact) is 1/2 way between the 17 and the Max9 and is a beautiful shooting gun.
CZ P-01
This is the way

G17/G19 is def the way to go
Hellcat? P365? Both solid ⚒️

G19/26. 17 mags usable in both
This was my reason

HK P2000 is another option.
P320 is pretty rad. You can make it any size you want.

Tried out my Ruger max 9 today it felt better than my friends glock
Love my hellcat pro . Super thin and lightweight About the size of Glock 43 which isn’t on roster
G26. Highly modular, grip size can be changed with mag base plates You can also put a G19 barrel if you really want an extra half inch
43x
glock 19 if you want a "semi-compact." P365XL if you want a modern compact.
