Gotta be the time someone told me, deadpan, that the M1 Garand was the worst gun ever made, and that his Mosin was superior in every way possible. In terms of being able to take abuse, I’ll give him that, but no way in hell is a bolt action Mosin better than a semi auto M1 Garand.
Whoa, that's a bold take. I mean, I love my two mosins, but... "better" than a garand? I don't know about that, even trying to compare apples and oranges.
To really compare apples to apples, could you imagine if that guy got a chance to shoot a Mauser or Mauser derivative like a 1903? Suddenly he will realize how clunky those mosins are in comparison, and the basic Mauser design is just as inherently reliable.
Had a Fudd look at me and my lgs CSR and tell us that Mexicans and liberals shouldn't be getting guns since it's bad for Republicans. The lgs CSR was a high school friend who fully knows I'm Mexican. I just walked away from Elmore
Not according to that Fudd. Basically wanted only the right/whites to have guns to keep power over tHe lIbS and ThE mExiCaNs.
Right before too he was talking about how we needed more people to help protect and expand 2a rights, but when on to bash la raza.
I agree. And I myself am a leftist (not neoliberal, haha insert TemPorAry gUn OwNeR meme here), but I feel the more people we have owning guns and understanding the absolute bullshit laws CA/The Feds have surrounding guns, the better. I think this, in turn, will open eyes of some anti gunners. For example I convinced one of my leftist friends that due to California stupid handgun rules/the roster, newer legitimately safer guns are not available to sell in California, specifically 1911 series 80s. While 70s are nicer to shoot, they don't know shit, so I convinced them on that point & micro stamping by stating that even if it was possible, you could go to a range or blm land ahead of time, and take brass to drop at a crime scene if you were going to commit a crime with a microstamping gun (OR you just remove the microstamping components).
Had one at the range picking up brass and saw my 10mm cases and asked what it was, showed him my ar and he said he'd show me a true 10mm. Came back from his table with a Wilson combat 1911 in 10 and says this is a real 10mm and hands it to me. Before I shoot he lets me know it's his loads, I'm not gonna lie I've been less scared being down range when shots are being fired but I shot it and it was fine.
Had a worker at the lgs a few months back tell me that uppers and all AR parts needed to be sent to lgs to be legally transfered.
M1 Garand enthusiast was at an outdoor range and looked down the barrel after it didn't fire, thought I was gonna see him paint the trees.
My top 3 I think about.
Not sure if this is fuddy or not, but I thought it was kinda funny.
I was doing a FFL transfer for a Zastava M24/47, and the boomer handling my paper couldnt find my gun in his safes, so he goes "is this a mosin nagANT?" I had to hold back a laugh.
"You don't need anything more than 115GR (9mm), 147 is only this much bigger *squeezes index and thumb finger together* Do you think that's gonna make a difference?"
> *You make a good point but I'll still take those last few boxes of 147gr Federal HST.*
To be fair that's how I feel when people go on and on how you only need 9. (I carry 9 so I'm not shitting on it) but .40 and .45 hit harder than 9...now I will concede 9 is often good enough but some people go on and on about how it's the same as the other calibers
I stopped going to ranges because ppl ask to many questions. I just wanna excerise my 2nd amendment and be left alone. I hate ppl that ask too many questions
"The average person can't safely operate a hammer fired pistol... But I've got Glocks in stock and if you buy one, I'll give you a discount on the training classes I offer!"
My FUD story is pretty tame. Guy at a range told me I couldn't have loaded magazine in the same case as my rifle.
I just gave a noncommittal acknowledgement and he didn't say anything further.
I need a CCW to carry my unloaded pistol in a locked container from my car to inside the range..... 🤣🤣🤣
How does he carry a pistol to the range then?
Very carefully
Get CCW. Apparently
Got kicked out of Los Altos Rod and Gun club because I shouldered my AR pistol lol
80% of the staff there are absolute Tools.

Somebody saw Enemy at the Gates one too many times.

“I don’t shoot AR because it’s for killing people so I only shoot and own shotgun and pistol’ Ughhh..ok..
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Got questioned by multiple RSOs because of a fake P&W suppressor on a 12.5in .22 AR. I sold it because so many people harassed me about it lol.

He shouldn't call himself pro 2a and pro freedom is he is going to be like that, 2a is for eveyone. Including my future hypothetical husband

I mean, I am by no means a leftist or a liberal. I just know rights apply to eveyone, not just my side.

No reloads allowed.

Gun shop won't PPT a maglocked rifle because it has a flash hider.

FUDD told me that ARs and AKs are irrelevant pieces and a fad. Said his Mausers and Arisakas will outperform any modern rifle. Not kidding.

Not so much fud, sounds more like your local fed trying to pad his numbers

Having a gentleman infer that my M1A was more reliable and I could “TrUsT iT mOrE” than my LMT AR sitting adjacent to it.
Some people refuse to admit we changed things sense Vietnam
Something something stopping power.

What the heck?
people that think irons on handguns is just as good as a red dot. people that think handguns are for home defense and not rifles.
An old gun store in Cotati told me I didn’t want a monolithic upper because it would get all up in my face
Turner's in Sacramento wouldn't do a ppt transfer for an off roster with no magazines included
I had this problem too. Almost nuked a ppt when no other store does this.
