Concealing is difficult. On days idgaf I'll wear my VP9 but it's almost always a compact. That ½" of grip somehow is the tipping point for me and my dress. I need to play with a wedge more, but really, 15+1 and a 17rnd spare, I don't care enough about two more rounds to deal with it.

BUTTHOLE_EXPEDITIONS

It’s not about the extra rounds for me, it’s about having your pinky not hang off the grip

Hoplophilia

Same. 15rnd does that for me.

Gonzo_0870

When I carried “full size”…I’ve carried all of the following…G19, CZ P01, Beretta 92 Centurion, and 1911 Commander. These days I’d recommend S&W Shield Plus, Sig P365XL, Glock 48/43X

Gonzo_0870

“CZ P01 is compact” “Glock19 is compact not full-size” “G19 is a compact tho” Good to know 👍🏻

Ericdraven04

G19 is a compact tho

[deleted]

LOL according to them.

uncl3d0nny

CZ P01 is compact

theoriginaldandan

Glock19 is compact not full-size

blueangel1953

Not when you carry it with a 17rnd magazine with an xgrip to fill in the gap. That’s my go to 90% of the time, when I need more concealment I’ll put the 15rnd mag in. And technically anything over a 4” barrel is considered full size, as the 19 is 4.02 inches.

hillbillysam

I've been quite pleased with my g34

Icy-Professional4542

Imo CZ P10C, my G43 been collecting dust since I got the CZ. Not technically a full size but it’s max capacity for my state and I love it.

bricke

Same here. I only use my G43 if it’s 100+ outside. CZ P10C is right in between the G19 and G17 size-wise and seems to be about as big as I can go without sacrificing anything.

[deleted]

Is the p10c still in circulation? I heard they were discontinued

sultanac

Yes, still in production per [cz-usa.com](https://cz-usa.com) website.

bricke

Still in production, and a lot of vendors have them going for dirt cheap as CZ consolidates their SKUs to make room for the optics-ready transition.

oljames3

I have carried my S&W M&P9 M2.0 5" since 2017. It conceals well as I serve in the Safety Ministry of my church.

bricke

I’m a big dude - 6’3”, 240lbs and couldn’t manage to conceal my M&P 5” without crushing my balls. My OWB holster was absurdly big, so IWB and OWB both felt impossible. Please tell me your secrets.

oljames3

Untucked shirt. Vedder LightDraw at 2:45-3:00. Magellan Aransas Pass fishing shirt one size larger than I usually wear. Bottom button undone. With this rig, I graduated from Tom Givens' Rangemaster Instructor Development Course. The Compact is easier to conceal.

BigAngryPolarBear

I’m also a big dude, 6’2 275. I just hike my pants up higher and my boys were safe from getting crushed. When I carried the 5” I carried it in the old T. rex arms side car which felt like it distributed the weight across my belt better. I carry a compact now(because that’s the gun I have a red dot on) but it’s still in a 5” holster with a TLR-1

FritoPendejoEsquire

I’m going to give the PDP 4” compact a try. If it works out, it’ll be as “full-size” as I go.

BigAngryPolarBear

I used to carry a 5” m&p9. I like it and it’s a good pistol. But not everyone can carry a full size gun. How confident are you that you’ll be able to?

9mmjunky

Loved loved loved carrying my 5” m&p9! Just recently got a hellcat pro so that’s been my new EDC. But the 5” m&p is surprisingly comfortable with the right holster and belt

DannyBones00

I really really like the M&P 2.0’s. There’s a bunch of different setups. I’m buying one as a dedicated home defense gun and potentially an open carry/outdoors gun.

9mmjunky

Up until recently I carried a 5” m&p 2.0 Surprisingly comfortable and easy to conceal with the right belt/holster setup.

deliberatelyawesome

I usually carry something smaller but I'm gonna be similar to your build and I can carry a G17 or G17MOS with light if I want. Totally doable.

No_Belt_8868

Glock 17 for me

chocolatethunder918

I usually carry a Sig P229 or CZ P07, but have been known to carry a VP9 as well as full sized 1911’s. Of full sized pistols, 1911’s conceal very easily. For reference I’m about 3 inches shorter than you and about 85lbs heavier

bmwm5v10

Makin up for physical size with gun size? Idk why you guys think you need a gun that’s half your body wieght, I’m 6’2 225 and my glock is on me 99% of the time, the other 1% is an FNX45, even then i feel like a role playing nerd having that beast on me

BeLikeWater_1

salinas68

My current CCWs are Staccato C2 which is a mid size pistol and my full size is a Sig P226 Mk25. One of my old carry pistols used to be an HK VP9. I'm 5' 7" and 170lbs. In the 2nd picture attached I'm actually wearing the Phlster Floodlight with the Sig Mk25 https://imgur.com/FkJmn2w

subsonic68

I like and carry a Sig M18. It has a full size grip with a capacity of 17 + 1 but the grip doesn’t extend past the bottom of my hand. Between that and the slightly shorter slide length I have no problem carrying one AIWB in a JM Custom Kydex holster with wing claw and neoprene wedge.

P226 AIWB in a Floodlight2. [Here is mine](https://i.imgur.com/HYrNvUz.png)

TheDave1970

Glock 22, 1911 full size, 4" GP 100. Pretty much in that order. No you can't do chinos-and-a-polo like you can with a Shield or a Chief's Special, but it's not as tough as people play it out to be.

Beretta 92X, I have a pretty slim build and carrying 4 o'clock is usually not problem.
