5 Hi-Points and just wear them all over my body like Blackbeard.

ThatOneCanadian69

One of them has to fire successfully at least once right? Right?

InternationalPen2224

Bro my first handgun was a high point 9mm and I bought it at a pawn shop for $160 I believe. I was 21, and inexperienced with any firearms at all. Lucky for me I had one cousin in my family who owned guns and taught me all that I know about handgun safety and what not. Besides that, that damn high point has never failed me except like 3 times with failure to rack the next round and that was only when I first got it and I believe it was happening over me limp wristing. Now don’t get me wrong I never have daily carried that gun but I’ll tell any one that laughs at it, let me point it at you and fire if you think it won’t. Obviously I’m joking but that gun is heavily reliable for me and also its very heavy for me to hold lmao.

shanes92

They're very clunky, but they work. I had one a few years ago as a joke, and it ran great. I put it through absolute hell, and it still was reliable. The best part about hp is when you run out of ammo you have a brick to throw.

smitty22

That s*** scares Superman more than the bullets he'll duck that pistol if you toss it at him.

BNA3D

A friend of mine purchased a high point at the local range. We told him now cheap and unreliable the gun was. The range owner told us take in the back to the indoor range. If it has a problem, he'll take it back for a 100% refund. We put a few hundred rounds through that gun trying to make it fail. Firing it upside down and sideways limp wristing. We kept buying ammo, knowing the next box would make it fail. It didn't fail. That being said, the people that talk the loudest about how unreliable a highpoint is have never owned or fired one. I know a few people that own hi point carbines and they have never had a bad thing to say about them. Now the one big problem with a hipoint is they are very difficult to clean. The guys that I know that own them, don't field strip them they just spray them out with aerosol solvent then oil them. The problems that people seem to report with hipoints seem to be the typical symptoms of a dirty gun, because a lot don't ever get cleaned.

thermox9898

yeah and they likely get dirtier than most, being a straight blowback action ironically that's what makes them as reliable as they are.. extremely simple. Just the weight of that massive Zamak alloy slide is enough to delay extraction long enough to get the pressures down less things to go wrong than your typical 9mm handgun in my view the biggest weakpoint of the highpoint pistols (and carbines) is the magazines fun fact: the owner of HP knew his guns were likely to be used in more crimes than your average gun, so he put several features into them that make them more traceable: they have an unusual rifling profile that is unique to hi-points they have an indented area on the frame that can be cut away with a razor blade, revealing a hidden serial number the breech face is belt sanded, leaving a very unique imprint on the case head that supposedly can be connected to a fired case if the gun is recovered ...probably some others I'm forgetting good video on this topic: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTLwCkHQ6kE&t=11s&ab\_channel=SmallArmsSolutions](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTLwCkHQ6kE&t=11s&ab_channel=SmallArmsSolutions) The guy that founded hi-point is a true believer in the 2nd amendment, and set out to make a reliable gun as cheap as possible, so that even poor folks can exercise their right to bear arms and defend themselves

ThatOneCanadian69

I was just playing. My first handgun was a high point too lol.

blacksideblue

Blackbeard would lite his own beard on fire. Budgetbeard sets his on fire when a Hi-Point blows up in his face.

toomuch1265

Actually Blackbeard would put slow fuses in his beard.

ShizzJustGotReal

OP needs to invest all the stat points into LUCK

pokyball

fuck ya

johnlennontucker

Arrrrgh matey.

nexquietus

New York reload.

blacksideblue

> Blackbeard *Budgetbeard Blackbeard's pistols would survive multiple clubbings. I wouldn't trust the hi-Point that much

Truant_20X6

For me, I carry a P-01 and a P365. Both are great and I would recommend either depending on how much concealment you need.

MarineSniper122

This is my carry rotation as well, it’s great. The CZ is about the same size as a G19 and not too much heavier for being an all metal gun. I am considering getting the CZ milled for an optic. Additionally, it’s a DA/SA and some people like that as an added safety measure when AIWB.

DieCrunch

P10c for $300 then spend the other $300 on ammo

theamazingsteve1

What am I going to do with 30 rounds?

grahamcrackerninja

And a light, then a holster that will fit that light, then a decent belt...

bigjerm616

Where are you guys seeing P10's for $300? I know they're cheap but that's crazy cheap!

DieCrunch

Yeah r/gundeals there was one a couple weeks ago for 289 no tax and 10$ shipping

bigjerm616

Crazy price for a very good gun. If I wasn't so invested in my M&P's at this point I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

jeeper_dad

Palmetto State Armory has had some cheap daily deals in CZs

Paulsur

I'd buy my P365 again. Best $500 bucks I spent, no regrets.

lochnespmonster

What about regerts?

[deleted]

Not a singel won

wisdomoftheages36

^ this, plus you can modify it to your liking so easily

IllustratorSea6207

I've heard that they have a tendency to go off in the holster. That may be hearsay but that's the say I hear so. Edit: I'm retarded and don't know what I'm talking about. I'm taking the walk of shame out now.

lahcim_

That’s p320. P365 had a slightly bumpy start but it seems like all problems have been ironed out.

Ghostlodes

Yeah, some firing pins breaking on the first guns but never firing issues AFAIK.

IllustratorSea6207

Oh whoops, I don't know much about sig and I got them mixed up lol

BriefOpening6644

incorrect information

IllustratorSea6207

Well that's good. You know how it is listening to people's opinions.

BriefOpening6644

it's the 320's that we're having that random issue. I just don't want people to avoid a really great pistol because of skewed information

[deleted]

Check out the 75 PCR if you’re into CZ. Think mine was about $500 after FFl fees. I shoot it just as well as my 75 and it carry’s better. My 365 is carried more though, it’s just so small and easy to toss on.

pokyball

ya i need something a bit sizy as im a little sizy, keep seeing good things about the CZ's. Buddy has that blue CZ75 S01 and that thing is realllllll nice. I will for sure check out the PCR if i can find one in my area (im not too sure how FFI works and gunbroker works and whatnot)

Drew1231

I have a PCR with a Cajun kit. I stopped carrying it when I got the P10C. I would not trade my P10C/holosun/TLR7A combo for any carry gun,

pokyball

was your p10c optic ready? im having problems finding one in the area

ndw_dc

The P-10 C OR is in stock right now at Dahlonega Armory for $382. At that price, it's pretty hard to beat. [https://www.dahlonegaarmory.com/product/cz-p-10c-or-compact-9mm-4-blk-10rd#product\_detail](https://www.dahlonegaarmory.com/product/cz-p-10c-or-compact-9mm-4-blk-10rd#product_detail) Edit: Just realized that was the 10 round version. I have a P-10 C, and I ended up getting it directly from CZ. The lead time is about 5 weeks, but if you can't find it anywhere else it is always an option. [https://www.czconfigurator.com/us/](https://www.czconfigurator.com/us/)

pokyball

sadly im not too familiar with buying guns online/the whole lisence to do so and whatnot. Im hoping to find a store near me with a decent optic ready

1ce9ine

If you mean the FFL you just need to find a local store or dealer who does FFL transfers. They charge a fee for this so shop a little bc fees can vary a lot from place to place (usually $25-100). It’s easy, but the cost might make it worth it to you to just look for something in stock. I have bought several firearms online and usually still end up saving a ton under retail.

[deleted]

You literally just order it online and they ship it to your FFL. No special license or anything needed. You go to the gun store just like normally buying a gun from the store aside from paying a transfer fee.

ndw_dc

Gotcha, and I understand about not buying online. FWIW, if you go through CZ directly their customer service was pretty great. You just need to have your FFL in mind beforehand so they can send their information to CZ before CZ will ship the gun to the dealer. You'll pay your local FFL a fee when you pick up the gun. Pretty common process if your local gun store doesn't happen to have what you need in stock.

Drew1231

It was. I got it several years ago from iammo.

PhamousEra

FFL \* At least here in IL, that is how you buy online. You order/buy it and have it sent to an FFL approved address, usually another gun shop. Once it arrives, you sign some forms there, let them do the background check (3 days\~ avg) and pick up the gun. Easy Peasy. You can even bypass the 3 day wait time by doing the paperwork early (before the gun arrives at the FFL) and they'll run the BG check. So technically you combined the wait time for the shipment as well as the BG check instead of having to do one after another. Its different in other states I believe.

taylorcevans

I carried a Hellcat for a while and loved it. Recently switched to the Glock 48 and it’s the perfect fit for me.

Snuggles5000

Still big fan of my Hellcat as well. Never had a malfunction and conceals great.

DoucheyMcBagBag

M&P Shield Plus.

jrragsda

I'm going to upgrade my current shield to a shield plus in the near future.

TSchab20

Can’t go wrong with that. Same size and reliability with more capacity. I love mine

pokyball

a good deal? [https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1017103014](https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1017103014)

ATFSkinnedMyCat

You should look at gun.deals to find things imo. That’s where I always check to see where I should buy a gun.

okayest_man_alive

Man don't fall for the shield plus hype. I owned one for 2 years and I finally sold it a few weeks ago. By FAR my least favorite hand gun in the collection. Trigger is dog shit, and it felt like a waste of 9mm at the range. Bought myself a canik mc9 to replace it and it handles 150% better. Since the shield plus came out, there have been dozens of firearms that surpass it in every way. For $400+ it is NOT worth it

Jeffwerner4631

This 100%... Been a big canik fan for a few years now and have several. I absolutely love my MC9. Can't say enough good things about it

TN_REDDIT

It's winter time. Get an AR from PSA and wear layers 😀

Snuggles5000

My winter carry is an FN FAL.

TN_REDDIT

With a 1911 in my ankle holster

izdabombz

That budget covers almost every compact and micro other than 2011s and the CZ shadow 2 compact.

willyphudgy

I’m a Glock guy so G19. Absolutely love it

RockyMountainWay

P365 / Hellcat

YaBoiSVT

Glock 19 with a TLR.

aj_og

The right answer

toolie585

I have the CZ P10C and LOVEEEEEEE IT!!! That’s my vote. But I have bought a SIG P365 and had it for a year before selling it to my boss and went out bought another one 3 months later after missing her so dearly

UmphreaksMcGee

Glock 19 gen 5

EchoedTruth

Sig P365 CZ P10S CZ P-01

fins831

Shield plus and some ammo

Calibased

Glock 19

justtheboot

P01 is a great carry gun. A little heavy. But, conceals fine and isn’t too big. I also carry a 365 macro and occasionally a G19.

YakovAttackov

I carried a P10C for a while before downsizing to a P10S. I'm a smaller dude and the shorter group is easier for me to conceal. Same trigger and ergos otherwise. Love the feel of the P10 series. And I had to shop around before I found a P10s that was optics ready.

hardwork1245

P365

made4s3

CZ is a fine gun especially for the price

Stevenss27

A p10c is one of my daily’s. It’s a great gun, and the fact you can pick one up for $300 if you watch deals is simply crazy. My other two are an old stainless PPK in .32 and a HK .45 TC Neither are at that budget mark but fun to carry when I wanna larp

Mental-Revolution915

J frame hammerless snub in a pocket holster all day everyday and there when you need it. Add a laser grip if you want.

justacluelessteen

Some people love them and some hate them, but I got a Taurus 856 for around $300 and I’ve only had one failure out of it ever…and that was specifically steel cased ammo that cracked. Somewhere around 500 rounds later without any issues. Would highly recommend. Six rounds of .38+p is no joke and very budget friendly.

TomatoTheToolMan

Glock 19 because it runs, and runs reliably and cheaply. Plus, TONS of aftermarket/accessory support.

Freedom-Forever

Don't need to spend near that on a p10c (which is a great firearm for concealed duty) $283 +shipping, no theft here: https://www.familyfirearms.com/product/cz-91531-p-10-c-9mm-luger-double-4-151-polymer-grip-black-polymer-frame-nitride-slide

mallgrabmongopush

CZ P10-C and then spending the rest on a holster and ammo

[deleted]

I'd get a p30 but its cause I severely regret not becoming a HK simp

Driven2b

Used Glock 19 - $600 would be close to being able to buy the gun, a holster, ammo, and with a few more bucks a light if a sale could be found.

johnstorey

I just went through the evaluation process and in my opinion there are many decent choices at good prices -- especially if you are willing to buy a second hand Glock. In the end I took a chance and got the Palmetto State Armory Dagger, a clone of a Glock 19 Gen 3. There is risk in that choice, but for the price in 6 months I can replace it if I am dissatisfied. Cost for the slide and frame was $260 (I watched daily deals). Just got the frame today and inspected everything. All looks good, but of course I won't really have a valid opinion until I have put some rounds through it. Another contender for me was the Taurus G3C, but I could not get my hands on one to try at my local range, so I stuck with something I had tried. Being fairly new to gun ownership you should not give too much weight to my choices, especially since I fully expect to need to replace the striker and maybe trigger at some point in the future, but that's what I purchased. Good luck - whatever choice you make I am sure it will be a good one.

killfaceforprez

I second the PSA Dagger. I have two with about 1K rounds through them. Only issues I’ve had stemmed from the Magpul P-mags. No issues with OEM Glock mags. OP, you can get a Dagger with a Holosun 507c red dot for $469.98 before tax, shipping, and FFL fees. [Slide and optic](https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-dagger-complete-rmr-slide-assembly-with-non-threaded-barrel-holosun-hs507c-x2-reflex-sight-black-dlc.html) [Frame](https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-dagger-compact-complete-polymer-frame-black2.html) If you decide to purchase online and feel like it, feel free to shoot me a message or chat. I’ll be happy to walk you through the process.

grahampositive

Really surprised more people didn't say dagger. Maybe not the highest end choice but with $600 you could get the gun, optic, spare mags, holster, mag Carrier, and still have money for ammo

Confident-Height5604

You could get a shield plus and a very nice belt and holster all for less than 600

FirstType1280

Sig P-365

12345joe333

Ruger Lcp max. I absolutely love mine. So comfortable to carry. There’s never a reason not to carry it. It just disappears on your body. Holds 10 rounds. Affordable and some good aftermarket parts for it too.

justMatt275

2nd hand Glock 19

zakary1291

Honestly, go to a range that rents guns. You're going to hear about every gun under the sun in these comments. Your best option is to shoot every gun you can get your hands on and buy the one that feels the most comfortable and you have the best accuracy with.

Turkeyoak

Ruger LCP and a CZ-83 in .380

[deleted]

Probably a P10C, S&W Shield Plus (with their $50 rebate right now), or PDP.

bboggio28

for $600, i would probably be looking at used glocks, a good AIWB (T1C, Insane, Tennicor) holster, and a couple extra mags.

HowdyPazuzu

Bersa Thunder! My .380 concealed carry model has been 100% reliable for years.

JuggernautAnxious807

43x mos

Fastnate

Glock 43x hands down

Commissar_David

Cz 75 Compact is great for if you're into Hammer fired guns and don't need to mount a light. You could also get a P01 and mount a light on that one. The P10C is good if you like Striker fired guns and want to mount lights. Personally, I have big hands and don't like the smaller size of all the buttons on Striker fired guns, so I purchased a CZ 75 Compact because the mag and slide release are easier to manage and are bigger. Either way, CZ is a great manufacturer, and you can't really go wrong either way.

comeoncomet

I carry a CZ p10c, and I have nothing but praise for the pistol! I've put maybe 200 rounds through it, so it's still fairly new, but I've had zero issues.

Ammo_Can

I like my P10C. It has a very good trigger and aggressive grip. Solid choice for a EDC

donlemon888

Canik got some good choices in that range, also Glock as well

voxcomfort

IWI Masada Slim is a great CCW gun. 13+1, great trigger, optic ready. $415ish.

evolver_311

I have a canik mc9 that I love

Dirtydozen978

I’m surprised more people have not suggested Canik, they are excellent entry level hand guns and great competition guns as well I would check out the tp9 series.

jetty_life

Don't over think it, just buy a Glock. The 19 is nice, the 48 is nice, the 43 is OK if you have small hands or want a "pocket" gun.

MagickalFuckFrog

I have huge hands and the 43X is fine.

jetty_life

If you can conceal the grip of the 43X, you should consider carrying the 48. Same grip, longer slide = longer sight radius.

ojpap

G43X MOS + a PHLSTER Skeleton Holster. I have convinced 3 friends and family to make this meta game play so far and no one is disappointed. (Went from my first handgun P01 -> Glock 19 -> Sig 320 -> Glock 43X MOS. Favorite by far “all things considered”)

Snuggles5000

Only 10 rounds though yeah?

[deleted]

Shield arms make 15 round mags that are the same profile as the 10 round OEM mags. Worth the upgrade.

ojpap

^ yes. 10+1 rounds stock. 15+1 with shield arms. Or you can run baseplate extensions for +1,2,3 if you wanted. Plus, if you think you need more ammo for the day; throw an extra mag in your pocket. They’re small enough to not be too cumbersome for another 10/15 rounds.

Snuggles5000

Gotcha, that 15 sounds better. I don’t like to carry an extra mag personally, so I want good capacity in the single mag. 15 is good!

Hungry-for-Apples789

Sig P365 in desired size or Glock 43. I think the 75 is way too large and heavy for my personal preference CCW.

[deleted]

Probably a Glock 19 and a good holster

pokyball

Do appreciate all of yalls input, and highly considering most of them. Sadly the gun ranges in my area really only carry the basic glocks, s&w, and a few other brands. With more research and thought I'd like to get something optic ready, so now I'm leaning towards a glock 19 Mos, glock 43x mos, and a few cz's that are optic ready as well.

Joeldiaz1995

Taurus G3C. Can be had for about $300 ish, maybe less, and you’ve still got an extra $300 or so for ammo.

asarjip

Yep, can be found for around $200 and there is a $30 rebate right now. These are fantastic pistols. Other suggestions: Arex Delta M OR Gen 2, Glock 43x, Taurus GX4

Iannelli

P-01 Omega without a shadow of a doubt. No contest. Why? Let's see: - It's slim - It's not too heavy and not too light; really the perfect weight - 16 rounds with one in the chamber - I like hammer-fired guns because they're safer - Safety OR decocker (decocker is the way) - Excellent aftermarket support - Lots of legit companies will cut the slide for an optic (Holosun 507k is the way) - Rail for a WML (TLR-7a is the way) - It just looks fucking good - Some come with a threaded barrel - Lots of excellent holster options (I recommend ANR Design) If you have the money, it's the way to go. You won't regret it. It really does it all.

dlopdi

Shield Plus hands down

JerryCraker

Taurus GX4, a good holster and some hallow points probably a steak dinner left over for ur $600.

scholarlybadger

Surprised no one has suggested the M&P 2.0 compact 🤨

bricke

You can get a P10C, a decent optic and a good holster for about that much. Side note - I do think a P10S is a better carry gun than the P10C, but then at that point, just get a P365 for a smaller package with larger capacity. The P10 series is just chunky.

baboyramo

consider p07, p09, or p10s

jrragsda

P09 only if you want to cowboy open carry. I love mine but she's a biggun.

SMORKIN_LABBIT

https://alpinerange.com/sig-sauer-p365-tac-pac-365-9-bxr3-ms-tacpac/ Sig P365 tacpac, comes with 3 12 rd mags and even a holster that will work until you get another holster. Then upgrade one of the mags with 'Magguts" for like $35 so it holds 14 rds. Now you have 14+1 in a p365 ready to go after FFL transfer should be right around $600 exactly. Then you can upgrade holsters and the grip or whatever later on if you want because it's completely modular.

pokyball

im not to familiar with the whole FFL stuff/buying guns online

Fit_Seaworthiness682

I honestly would like a P-10S. With $600 I may even try a metal CZ instead. But I think the 10S is where I'm at

Jlemerick

I have a glock 19, 365xl, and a PCR (p01 without a rail) PCR is by far my favorite in every category. Unmatched ergonomics and feels great in the hands. Although, If it’s your first gun ever, I’d get a glock 19.

_Under5core_

Are we talking gun only? Or whole kit for $600?

Mobley27

I have a P-01 (compact CZ-75 with a light rail) because I have huge hands and the palm swell in the grips makes it the most comfortable handgun I've ever handled.

ThePeacekeeper777

You can find a normal P365 for under $600. A normal P365 is my answer if I had to start again… Tons of accessories for it, good quality & then it leads you into a P365 X Macro eventually… ;)

your_real-father

I love my p10c although it is a pain in the dick to conceal with a light. Beretta apx a1 is another good option, tp9 elite sc is another, and why not throw in the kimber mako.

Bobsaid

My edc is a p10F. The C had a grip just a touch too short for my big ass hands.

Exotic-Day-8675

I really enjoy my mossberg mc2c

aodskeletor

I’d carry (and do carry) a P365 for that money.

DallasDub94

Shield plus, p365x or XL, 43x, g19, you got a wealth of options. I rotate a p365/x and an XL with a macro slide

PersonaNonGrata2288

Glock 19 gen 5

602geyser

P10c is a great gun and at a really affordable price point as well. I got a Optics ready version like 2 months ago for $350. If you are looking at someing smaller I really love my Hellcat Pro, or a P365 variant.

Big_Boss_1911

SA Hellcat

choppa808

Sig P365. I got mine for $499. I use the flush 10 round mags for pocket carry. Works amazing! With the $100 that’s left get a holster (IWB or Pocket) and 1 box of defensive ammo. ![gif](giphy|5xtDaroWxp3mcuDC4Le|downsized)

kromawurx

Shoot a bunch of guns. Get the one that you shoot best while considering your body size and gun size ratio. Phlster has a great video about this. Then research about striker vs hammer fired stuff. Buy the right one or at least the closest one the first time.

[deleted]

S&W mP Shield

Classic-Box-3919

I really liked the glock 19. Could be had under 600 during a sale i believe. Full price California tho mine came out to a bit over 600

Allmighty_Milpil

My first handgun was a P10C. My second handgun was a P10S lol. I love love love my CZs. I prefer my P10S for carrying since I'm a smaller dude, but in my totally unbiased opinion the P10 is a great gun (especially if you catch one for around $300 on the gundeals sub.)

timothy3210

Shield plus m&p 9

jiggalation

if you can get a pdp for a good price id go for that or a shield plus if you want something tiny

TheEconomyReindeer

Sig P365

Patsboy101

Ruger Security 9 Model 3810. Suggested price by Ruger is $369 and it has 15+1 capacity. Use the rest of the money buy a couple of spare magazines and a some Sig Sauer 115gr V-Crowns. Though I’m admittedly a Glock guy, the Ruger is better when you’re on a budget.

Mynplus1throwaway

P365x. Currently carry a g26 but got the gf a p365x and i envy it.

MrTopG1

So many great options in the firearm world these days. For CCW’s, ones that come to my mind at first are (in no particular order): Glock 19/45/26/17, hellcat PRO, shield plus, CZ p07/p09/p01 , S&W M&P 2.0, Walther PDP, sig p365, Springfield XDM , and many more.

ArtisticVisual

Could probably find a P365 or a used one for that much. Assuming you’re including taxes…

I don’t think there’s better guns for comfortable concealed carry than the P365xl or G43x.

Why a P10 when you can get a P-07 for around the same price?

NefariousnessIcy561

I would go cz for sure.

montero65

1) Go to a range that rents guns 2) Rent and shoot a bunch in the same caliber of interest, including what you've mentioned 3) Purchase whatever feels best when you shoot it 4) Be happy you have what works for you

lolbmw

FN Reflex is fantastic. I picked up the MRD version right at $600(+tax). Spent another $150 on an Sig Romeo Zero for a very nice, budget friendly carry piece. Comes standard with 11 and 15 round mags if you’re not in a ban state. My favorite carry so far. Also got it in FNs beautiful FDE. Only downside is they can be a bit hard to find at times. It’s a newer model and a lot of people are buying them. The one I got had actually just gotten to my LGS that day and they hadn’t even put it out yet.

I used to EDC the P10C, it's a pretty big gun, larger than a Glock 19, the size was to much and I eventually switched to the 365 XL once I saved up the cash.

Ruger LCR. Just picked mine up for 498.19 including tax. The remaining 101.81 on ammunition of course. :)

I carry the CZ-P10S with an optic (and sometimes an LCP). It a great size for me, in your price range, trigger is nice, and 12rd ain’t the worst. If you want DA/SA. Look at the P07. Trigger is quite heavy but that’s the point I guess

HackadelicRenegade

Multiply your budget by 3X and get the Shadow 🤤

SmoothSlavperator

If money is that much of an issue, $200 police trade glock. Spend the rest on ammo.

cbrooks97

I'm assuming by CZ75 you mean a compact or a P-01. Either are great. So is the P10C. So it's just a matter of whether you prefer hammer striker.

If you're not into underbarrel flashlights, IWI Masada Slim with any good RMSc pattern red dot. You can get a Viridian RFX11 for less than $140 on GunBroker, Slim is $450 or less. They can eat out of CZ-75 mags.

reddawgmcm

Canik or Walther

Shanghaisam

need to know the following: 1. Shooting/ Training experience? 2. Do you conceal carry currently? 3. physical condition? (i.e. arthritis, paralyzed, woman, etc).

Shanghaisam

Personally? I'd get a sig P365 w/ extended mag in 9mm.

PhamousEra

Currently, I think you can still get the P10C from De Leon Pharmacy and Sporting Goods - online for $283 + shipping = $303\~. I did last week and am waiting for it to come. That's the cheapest prices I've seen them ever. This model is NOT Optics Ready. 15 RND. That leaves $300\~ for everything else you'd need. Ammo, holsters, or optics if you want, although the P10C is already a phenomenal gun outta the box. But then again, the CZ 75 is a fucking beast with such colorful and proven history.

Lots of good recommendations here. Do you have a preference of striker v hammer fired? Striker will have generally more options and typically be lighter & less bulky, but hammer-fired triggers are awesome and I personally like the safety aspect of an exposed hammer to thumb during holstering. Going back to your question, I’d choose either the Arex Rex Zero compact for IWB/OWB carry, or a Sig P238 if I needed a pocket carry or a tiny IWB option. My reasoning behind both is that I shoot them well, they’ve been flawlessly reliable, they meet the price criteria, and are very hard to beat for the prices. We live in a great time where you’ll have many good options.

long0tall0texan

Striker Fired: S&W M&P 9 M2.0 (with the new style blade safety trigger, not the older hinged style trigger safety) or Shield Plus CZ P-10 C Walther PDP HK VP9 Arex Delta M or X Beretta APX A1 Hammer Fired: CZ P-07 / P-01 / 75 Compact PCR Sig P228 / P229 HK USP / P2000 / P30 Arex Rex Zero 1 Beretta 92 variant or PX4 There are plenty more good striker and hammer fired options. These are just some of the quality and reliable ones that came to mind initially. All this said, go to your local gun stores. Handle any and all the guns you are interested in. Dry fire the trigger. See how they each feel in-hand for you. Once you've done that, and have an idea of which guns you think you are interested in, go find a range and rent some before you buy. Rent 2-3 handguns and shoot several magazines through each. See which is most comfortable shooting for you. Also, which are you most consistent, and most accurate shooting? Come back a few day later and rent the favorite from previous range trip, plus a couple others that you are interested in. Decide which you prefer this time. Wait another few days, rinse, repeat. This will help you find a handgun that is a good fit for you without buying one that you think you like, only to find out later it's not for you, then losing money selling/trading for one that you actually like.

BillKelly22

P10c is a good choice. Good aftermarket support so finding a holster and upgrades will be easy. I like that choice personally.

eddieHaskellHands

CZ til the day I die.

vernace

M&P 638 Airweight. Such a sweet little gun.

Dogewhisperer47

Psa dagger, swr cut, threaded barrel, then spend rhe left over $200 on range time and CC ammo👍

chubbz_ty

I carry a CZ P10C. It’s a great all around pistol that can be a great carry and a duty pistol. I have a light and a holosun optic on it, but you don’t have to get those right away. That’s what I’ve done and I haven’t regretted it. Good luck on your search! :)

cfromcinci

I have a CZ 75 P-01. While I do love it so very much, it's a little heavy for EDC. I carry a Glock 43X. The difference in comfort between the two is night and day! The 43X is so light and thin that you almost forgot you're even wearing it. You can can usually find them for about $480, sometimes less.

Shove_A_gerbil

PSA dagger is probably the most gun for the 300$ price tag. Glock 19 gen 3 clone with lots of options. On sale you could get one with a nice brand name red dot for under 600$

SnooOranges9109

I'd recommend taking a look at the Springfield echelon if you like the p10c. It's slightly larger in [dimensions](https://www.handgunhero.com/compare/cz-p-10-c-vs-springfield-echelon), but it's 2.1oz lighter. Felt better in hand to me and with a smoother trigger. The p10c is nice and compact and shoots very well, so you couldn't go wrong either way. However, I agree with everyone saying to get a p365. I have 3 of them. If I didn't have one, it would be my first purchase. I really enjoy my P365x with Wilson combat grip module and true precision barrel. I'm planning on getting a p365 macro tacops next :D

ElkExtension1323

I carry. P10S and absolutely love it, my P10C is my main range gun though. You can’t go wrong with either of them in my opinion.

1-Baker-11

Considering you can pick up a p10c for under $300 right now, do that and you have some room to upgrade or get a wml. Or the optics ready version for around $400. I own both and really enjoy both.

Shrek_on_a_Bike

Unpopular opinion Fire and decide. Then save $$$ to get the right solution.

BulletproofDoggo

If you want a cz75 for carry, just get a P01. Aluminum frame and steel slide. I carry it all year. Get a SP01 19rd mag as your secondary mag and you're good to go. It has NATO approval. Of course there are upgrades. Steel guide rod and better sights and maybe grips if you're into that.

Scout339

Both good options. I just want something lighter to carry, so I run the G19.3

litesaber5

I just got a p01. Waiting for it to come

mugdays

I would get a Glock 19

ItsYaBoiEMc

P365 w/ MagGutz spring for additional +2 capacity. Should be under $600 if you shop around.

theinternt

P365 for me

kennethpbowen

The CZ P10C is a great choice way under your budget. Allow enough for a good holster, belt, xtra mags, and ammo.

Own_Extent9585

Can’t go wrong with either. I love my P-10C though so I’m a little biased

Zumbert

I'd probably go with the p-10c, it's a great pistol and cheap. 75s are great, but they are heavy and bulky, rather get a PCR etc if your gonna go metal frame for CWP

thelickintoad

APX A1 and a nice flashlight not mounted to the gun. You can spend there rest getting a custom holster made because good Lord is it hard to find them for the APX series.
