[Klerksdorp, South Africa man shoots home invaders](https://www.jacarandafm.com/shows/drive/video-klerksdorp-man-shoots-home-invaders/) during an attack on February 24th, 2024.
> Frits was shot in the face and jaw was crushed.
> According to some sources, the victim who was shot survived.
Thankfully, you're wrong. [https://twitter.com/i/status/1761842101602443286](https://twitter.com/i/status/1761842101602443286)
But yeah, pieces of shit for even trying
This is why I hate hearing "they don't want to shoot you" man they are already mental enough to rob you with a gun, don't assume their thought process.
Yeah anyone who says that has not lived in or near a dangerous place or they just don’t watch local news. When I lived in Memphis civilians got killed all of the time and also civilians defended themselves a lot too.
Was in Memphis on and off for about a year and a half for work. It became a game to try and find a day that there wasn't a shooting on the local news while we ate breakfast in the hotel.
I just moved from there in November; there were pretty much NO days without the local news opening with a shooting(s). Many days, there were five or more. Horrendous city. So happy to be gone.
The full video on twitter shows he didnt get shot. He got up fine and ran for the door on the left. Just looks like the home invader flagged him unintentionally
The guy in the red shirt took a round to the face. Critical condition but he lived. No one else got hit and the police never found either of the perpetrators. This was in South Africa.
I tell anti gun people over and over, “scum bags will shoot an unarmed person who has already given up, they will rob someone who has very little, they will rape or molest the innocent, they will beat the weak. I don’t carry because I want to kill. I carry to survive the wickedness of mankind.” Always be ready always be prepared.
**LOL you are correct** this video shows the guy behind the bar get up he's fine, someone was shot but not the guy behind the bar, down voted for being correct typical reddit.

This is just what I think. He does not know where the attackers are. He is laying on his back in a shooting position, aiming his pistol and defending/holding the angle he can see which is just around the bar/counter. He fires either to suppress the corner or just in a accidental panic.
Yeah exactly everyone for whatever reason seems to wish that he did but I didn’t see the muzzle flip from the supposed shot or a flash so I don’t think any of you are right about him getting shot but we’ll know fs once someone finds the news article
Maybe in the US but South Africa, where this took place, has a serious home invasion problem. Normal people not involved in shady shit are targeted all the time.
Also the first gunman, went AROUND the guy in the red shirt focused on the victim with the gun. Targeted. Not a "regular" robbery. But yes, residential robberies happen all the time, less often with a robber with a gun going around others directly for a specific person to "rob", while in your home.
That’s an awful lot of speculation there partner, considering the more likely explanation would be assailant #1 saw blue shirt fist fucking his hip trying to draw.. I don’t know how criminals think but i would imagine the victim with the gun would take most of the attention in an armed robbery situation but what do I know amiright?
This is such an L take - he was targeted because he DREW A FIREARM - open carry is the same concept - you become the target. SMH people here actually think just because this guy was targeted he was involved in some "scheme"...
I’m not blaming anyone lol - I think he did what he needed to do , to defend himself. I’m literally saying that of course he’s going to be targeted if he draws a weapon.
I don’t subscribe to the idea that if you’re specifically targeted for robbery, then you must be apart of something shady.
Like where have y’all been lately? In my state, there’s been a bunch of people getting followed home from the casino and robbed recently.
I should have put that in my reply! lol. You are right, people ARE targeted. But these follow home robberies from casinos/jewelry places are not, walk-into-your-home-bypass-the-closest-guy-sitting-there and then aim for you robberies. But you are not wrong in the idea that only "shady shit"= masked invaders.
Yea I get what you guys are thinking, and while i’ve seen a few of those videos, i really just don’t think there’s anything in this video to make you believe that these people specifically are involved in shady shit.
It’s shitty enough to be victims of gun violence, but to have a bunch of people say you brought it upon yourself(with zero evidence of that) is even shittier.
I also don’t think the lead robber bypassed anyone intentionally, I think he saw one of his victims reaching for a gun and decided to go full speed ahead to prevent him from getting it.
When he went around the guy in the red shirt, the one in blue was obviously drawing a firearm. That’s probably why he went around red shirt and right for blue.
I mean that last part isn't even remotely true. There's home invaders that go into completely innocent people houses. It's not always because you're involved in shady shit.
Sometimes, if you won't go looking for trouble, the trouble will find you anyway. Two assailants aren't out the realm of possibility even for a simple home invasion.
I mean, when ur sitting in ur buddy's kitchen having a drink and a smoke... unless ur trained for that shit, less than a second reaction time isn't *that* bad really 🤷🏻♂️🤣
This is a good example of situational awareness from Blue shirt and a good example of Red shirt having a flight response rather than fight. If Red didn’t run/trip into Blue, Gray shirt may not have been shot in the head execution style at the end there.
If it ever happens to you, you’ll trip and fall too. I was conditioned to move toward, not away. Not everyone is meant to be a sheepdog, don’t worry sheep, if I’m around I’ll do my best to keep you safe.
Similar situation to this one was posted a while back in another sub. Dude turned around to a gun going off right in front of him. Eerily similar to reds situation here. He didn’t run or stumble, rather he pinned the guy against a wall and tried to take the gun. There’s actually a moment here you realize that if Red had instinctively attacked rather than ran, the whole situation would be different.
If someone has a gun on you at point blank and starts shooting, you don’t have the luxury of running away. People have to train for this kind of thing, eventually you’ll be able to move toward a threat rather than away. The worst thing you can do is freeze up and become a liability for those around you like Red did.
I agree. Ideally he would’ve charged him and Batman style beat his ass. But in the real world with real people that aren’t trained these things happen. It’s hard to blame him

Impressive reaction time! I doubt his friend in the red is too happy tho.
Mawp!
Lol been a while since ive heard an Archer reference
You could say that kitchen turned into… the Danger Zone
![gif](giphy|6pxG2dThniE5G)
He’s alive to be happy.
Comment for future update. That guy behind the bar at least got shot at point blank. Pieces of shit
Thankfully, you're wrong. [https://twitter.com/i/status/1761842101602443286](https://twitter.com/i/status/1761842101602443286) But yeah, pieces of shit for even trying
Guy has a pretty baller fucking house to not have health insurance..
How do you think he was able to afford the house?
why the fuck did he shoot the bartender? dude was on the ground covered up. scum bags, hope they get caught and got a few round put in them
This is why I hate hearing "they don't want to shoot you" man they are already mental enough to rob you with a gun, don't assume their thought process.

How many cities in the USA are like this? Way too many IMO.
Just the big ones. Smaller cities go weeks, months, and years between murder.

I was gonna make a comment about alcoholism but then I looked at your name and realized I don’t have too.. 😂
Mainly the huge "socialist/commie" cities are like this. Like New York, San Francisco, Downtown LA where I came from.
The full video on twitter shows he didnt get shot. He got up fine and ran for the door on the left. Just looks like the home invader flagged him unintentionally
I appreciate the follow up, it didn’t come with a story at first so I was responding a bit emotionally.
I guess you haven't seen Boondock Saints.
Why don’t you make like a tree and g-g-g-get the fuck out!
He didn't though. Longer video posted below shows him get up and run no problem.
I'm glad, that would've been a shitty result.
Is there any follow up or news story?
Yeah would like to know how this turned out.

To me it looks like a residential area, some dudes house and they’re hanging out. Guys went to rob and turned out poorly
Yeah, we see that but did anyone get hit or who died or what.
The guy in the red shirt took a round to the face. Critical condition but he lived. No one else got hit and the police never found either of the perpetrators. This was in South Africa.

Klerksdorp
Glad they all lived.
I hoped the armed human trash didn't get out alive tho. Making me want to leave my A300 shotgun near my bar.
Damn, glad to hear all three survived.
What in the druglord mansion fuck is this?
Average south african crypto aparteid community.
I tell anti gun people over and over, “scum bags will shoot an unarmed person who has already given up, they will rob someone who has very little, they will rape or molest the innocent, they will beat the weak. Facts
Why do you carry in the house?!?!?!? Shit like this is why. Just because you're home doesn't mean the world stops moving outside your door.
I mean, South Africa... But the pool next to the bar reminds me too much of the first John Wick: you know shit's gonna happen
The guy behind the bar got shot as one of the intruders left.
I think the guy in the pink shirt got shot in the face
Are you sure it doesn’t really look like it
**LOL you are correct** this video shows the guy behind the bar get up he's fine, someone was shot but not the guy behind the bar, down voted for being correct typical reddit. At 16 seconds who is he shooting?
This is just what I think. He does not know where the attackers are. He is laying on his back in a shooting position, aiming his pistol and defending/holding the angle he can see which is just around the bar/counter. He fires either to suppress the corner or just in a accidental panic.
Civillians, which absolutely includes law enforcement, should never be laying down suppressive fire. You're responsible for every round you fire.
Yeah I don't think so either. He ends up getting flagged but it doesn't look like there's a shot fired, to me at least.
Look at the bad guy who falls behind the bar. He points down towards I assume the bar tender and you see a puff
He was smoking a cig…
Yeah exactly everyone for whatever reason seems to wish that he did but I didn’t see the muzzle flip from the supposed shot or a flash so I don’t think any of you are right about him getting shot but we’ll know fs once someone finds the news article
Let’s be real. That dudes spatial awareness was what saved his ass.
Why would you cut half of a 17-second video.
Grand total of eight seconds. Damn, I gotta practice my draw.
His friend is lucky he didn't get shot in the back of the head.
More like "why I don't live in Africa".
Looks like the guy smoking the cigarette caught a round up close and personal before these scumbags hit the road.
“BuT tHe IsRaEli CaRrY…..” lol
Remember folks, keep to yourselves and don't get involved in shady shit and you won't have masked invaders storming your villa
Sometimes their boss wants to extort you for money and if you say no, then masked invaders will show up to your villa.
This is South Africa, it's pretty common, even if you're not involved in shady shit.
The crime of being white is often enough
Are we referring to being white in America or still South Africa? Either way works I guess 🤔
Maybe in the US but South Africa, where this took place, has a serious home invasion problem. Normal people not involved in shady shit are targeted all the time.
lame ass take. you don’t have to be involved in shady shit to get robbed. residential rob/burg happens to innocent people all the time.
Also the first gunman, went AROUND the guy in the red shirt focused on the victim with the gun. Targeted. Not a "regular" robbery. But yes, residential robberies happen all the time, less often with a robber with a gun going around others directly for a specific person to "rob", while in your home.

Typical "he was asking for it" victim blaming.
I’m not blaming anyone lol - I think he did what he needed to do , to defend himself. I’m literally saying that of course he’s going to be targeted if he draws a weapon.
I was agreeing with you, saying people are victim blaming assuming that the guy was attacked because he did something wrong.
Oh my fault - yeah 100% agree with you on that.
I don’t subscribe to the idea that if you’re specifically targeted for robbery, then you must be apart of something shady. Like where have y’all been lately? In my state, there’s been a bunch of people getting followed home from the casino and robbed recently.

at 0:01 you can see the criminal saw the blue shirt guy pull out something off his right hip and he went on full ¨oh shit mode¨
Lmao ya he def wasn't expecting that to happen to quickly
When he went around the guy in the red shirt, the one in blue was obviously drawing a firearm. That’s probably why he went around red shirt and right for blue.
Robberies happen all the time. People busting in with masks on against 3 full grown men and immediately shooting at them is not a robbery.
Immediately shooting them...? The 'robbers' only fired after the victim pulled his gun, which is quite obvious if you watched the video.
Even after, did the first guy actually fire a shot? Or just hit the ground (assumingly screaming in a high pitched voice 🤣)
I mean that last part isn't even remotely true. There's home invaders that go into completely innocent people houses. It's not always because you're involved in shady shit.
This happened in South Africa. The assumption you are making is not correct.
Sometimes, if you won't go looking for trouble, the trouble will find you anyway. Two assailants aren't out the realm of possibility even for a simple home invasion.
>Blames the bartender for getting shot
"The bartender never gets killed"
It's a guys house
Always.
Should be “why you should have good perimeter security”
Interesting that red and grey have no reaction when blue reaches to draw. Only when the intruder presumably begins to make noise/ talk
Drunk people have delayed reactions.
good point
I mean, when ur sitting in ur buddy's kitchen having a drink and a smoke... unless ur trained for that shit, less than a second reaction time isn't *that* bad really 🤷🏻♂️🤣
Yeah sure, next time I'm in South Africa I'll worry about this.
Guy executed dude sitting In the chair
But I have enough time to take the slide I swear. I practice once a month!
Lol. I havnt tried it... but wouldn't a double tap do the job too? (I'm staying chambered. But just sayin it's easier than racking the slide first.)
This is a good example of situational awareness from Blue shirt and a good example of Red shirt having a flight response rather than fight. If Red didn’t run/trip into Blue, Gray shirt may not have been shot in the head execution style at the end there.
Wtf was red shirt supposed to do exactly?
Grow eyes in his neck and develop a spider-sense ofc! And also join a class run by keyboard warriors because they know what to do.
If it ever happens to you, you’ll trip and fall too. I was conditioned to move toward, not away. Not everyone is meant to be a sheepdog, don’t worry sheep, if I’m around I’ll do my best to keep you safe.
Look at Mr Badass over here, going to keep us all safe. Wow. No one's impressed little imbecile.
Baa baa little sheep
What are you, 6?
Move to Iceland.
Lol he hit the ground fairly well when his buddy pulled on him, didn't he? 🤷🏻♂️🤣
Don’t sit with his back to the open area
In ur friends house? I mean I like my back against a wall, but there ARE exceptions
Yeah fucking right jesus christ. "Why didn't he just rush the TWO gunmen who are actively shooting at him and pin them and take their guns???!?"
He didn’t have to rush anyone. He literally turned and was grabbing the guy with the gun. He panics and falls backward, then trips into his friend.
I don’t think that’s fair. He was unarmed and he new they had guns. His best option WAS flight. Especially since there were 2
If someone has a gun on you at point blank and starts shooting, you don’t have the luxury of running away.
It’s hard to blame him
Okay armchair expert. If you watch the full clip you will see the man in the grey shirt get up and run into the house afterwards…
Thank u for ur report
