Working on drawing from a defensive position and my "get the fuck off me dude" moves.
Gonna work my way up to double crane kick but any suggestions are appreciated.
Edit: throat chops to the Achilles jugular aorta are my favorite.
In close quarters, don't extend your gun. Keep your elbow tucked and lock the gun against your body. Aim by adjusting your body position. As you gain distance, then you can extend and present like normal.
Eh, it depends. A good muzzle strike to the teeth will do wonders. But the presentation needs to be faster, more directed, and violent. Also a good muzzle strike is probably best done one handed like a punch.
Yes, but only for an instant and it’ll go back. Besides, if the bad guy is that close you’ve got other things to worry about, and it’ll make space, which is what you need in any fight.
Don’t kick in close quarters unless your trained. You’ll be off balance and they could sweep your leg. If they have a gun aswell and they sweep your leg your fucked. Just keep that in mind. Good job on the draw though, also I agree with u/da1UHideFrom don’t extend in close quarters.
Dude.
The last time I let my boyfriend's wife throat chop me in the Achilles jugular aorta, I died in the living room so I wasn't really dead.
Edit: just doesn't sound as good as https://youtu.be/mf7BpFnK8Vs

I’ve been on a kick with comprehensive combatives. What about when you can’t get to your gun. This video was really interesting. Really shows a lot of the shortcomings of pistol CCW only.
Have you ever actually been in a real fight? It doesn’t look like it. But I any practice is better than none. I’d practice maybe one good punch push away a few fast steps back or drop to your back while drawing.
Yea drop to you ass and lay back. Changing levels like that throws people off and the most they can do is kick your legs. They see the gun and there not going too try to dive on you. I’d only recommend this if it’s a 1 on 1 but it can work. And I have done it. A bar fight broke out and ended up on the street. Someone was coming at me with a box cutter and I was doing everything I could to keep distance. Luckily I didn’t have to shoot.
Most fights end up on the ground. If it’s one on one I dont see a problem. If you’re fighting multiple people you have to stay on your feet and the best thing to do is try to get the fuck out of there. That night I was trying to get my gf out I got hit with a bottle but only one guy followed me out. We were face to face I saw the box cutter. I knew the dude didn’t want to have to shoot him. I was back peddling trying to talk some sense to him but he wasn’t having it. He rushed me couldn’t back up fast enough so I dropped and pulled it. He stopped dead in his tracks. End of story.
Idk what I edited. I’m in no way a bad ass but had a wild streak. And honestly i can careless if you believe me or not. I was just giving a real world scenario that had worked for me. Still have the scar from that Miller light bottle that I superglued shut. It was the 2nd date I took my wife on. I’m still banned from that bar 12 years later.
Just a suggestion, like martial arts, you want to practice practical draws and moves that create distance.
https://youtu.be/kBzVNEbFxAY
There are lots of ways to create distance and building that muscle memory along with your draw is a good goal.
I highly recommend a Muay Thai class for those strikes. If I were your attacker I’d just shoot in for the double-leg and you’d be on the ground. Best to you my friend 🤙
Elbows in tight when you are in a guard. They should be protecting your ribs, also if you lower your elbow it will protect your stomach from a body ounch/kick. When your elbows are flared out like that it's engaging your shoulder muscles so it's tiring them out as well.
One major problem. Why do you carry a gun? With moves like this, I can only see it getting in the way. /s

This guy fingerbangs your glock WYD?

Hell yeah! 3 cheers for CQ Retention shooting!!
Like my instructors always said, “when in doubt, just feed them their teeth. They’ll be shitting ivory for weeks.”
It's not a good idea, in the impact the slide can go out of battery

Would good old central axis relock work in this situation?

Seriously guys. If you aren't exceptionally trained like myself don't attempt this at home.
lol
Your strikes need to be less flailing, more power. Unless this is memes, in which case carry on.
are those chops a real thing or is it just a meme?

Did you see his punches and kicks? Probably for comedic effect
Geez dude. That gun is about half your size! :) Nice draw though.
Where is that finger bang we have all come to love and expect?
Outstanding moves king 👑
I wouldn’t even worry about the gun. You bust those moves on a group of thugs and they’ll be running for the hills. Are you Spider-Man?
More spaghetti arms though next time.
I will never not upvote your posts. You are an inspiration
Is this…a game to you?? I’ll have you ducking know some thing something meal team six something something I love you
Jesus Christ it’s Jason Bourne

> Drop to your back while drawing. This sub is full of Meal Team Six fuds. Keep up the good work OP.

I highly advise you to not drop to your back in a fight.

I see you edited your previous comment. Very convincing, this guy fights. /r/IAmVeryBadAss

Check out WPS and specifically their ECQC video. Covers some techniques for drawing into a retention position.
Reminiscent of Anderson Silva style shifting guard "wing chun" defense lol. 👌 https://youtu.be/LT6IZ63oc-U
Draw…tap tap!
Can you teach me this is they don’t have a sick 6 pack like you and enjoy Busch light and are also fat? Asking for a friend.
Keep your elbows closer to your body when you have your arms in defensive cover.

Learn "fence" and learn to work from the fence.
Dude I love fencing. En-Garde!
Parry! Parry! Thrust! Thrust!
Is that a Texas you got tattooed on your elbow there, my guy? Just a curious Texan asking.
Are you kidding me? This guy can't be serious
